I've started using tubing mascara recently and couldn't be happier. It doesn't smudge at all!

Waterproof mascara is oil solvent and if you have oily lids or use any products (including some pressed shadows) that contain oils then it can cause transfer. I have very straight lashes and waterproof mascara is the only thing to hold my curl but I have excessively oily lids and get the same issue. Finding a good setting spray since that can create a good barrier can help, unfortunately I have other skin issues and my fav was discontinued so I don't have a specific recommendation.

Honestly, tubing mascara has been the only kind that fully avoids it for me. It’s been such a game changer.

I dont have the mascara issue, but my oily lids screw with my waterproof eyeliner alot. Would this primer be a good solution for that too?

Maybelline Sky High in waterproof. Seriously the best. I have long lashes without curl, and due to chronic illness I rub my eyes often. The mascara leaves my lashes still just as curled, until 16h later.

I've repurchased a few times, and I don't think I'll get another one soon.

Tarte Maneater! It only has 4 stars on Ulta, but it’s my tried and true! I had pretty long natural lashes but they’re not very thick. This mascara makes them look crazy long and builds so much volume without them looking clumpy. It gives them a “fluttery” look. My holy grail drugstore mascara is the L’Oréal lash paradise. I love the volume and how it doesn’t clump on me!

This is a beautiful mascara. Unfortunately I’m allergic to it. It makes my eyes water and itch all day when I use it

Tubing mascara! I really love Loreal double extend.

However, I just saw a trick on IG for those who get raccoon eyes -- use whatever mascara you need for volumizing, thickening etc and then apply 1 coat of tubing mascara to lock all that goodness in place. I have yet to try this but I will soon.

This is the only one that makes my lashes look really pretty and great for short lashes.

I second this! I buy the white lash sensational primer and mascara two pack. It’s the best in the game

I am ride or die for the L'Oréal Voluminous waterproof formula. It was the only thing that survived on my face during an August Disney trip. That's hardcore.

I agree 100%! Have worn this mascara swimming, showering and unless I use the remover I can't get it off!

I've found that ANY of the Maybelline waterproof mascaras hold up really well in all conditions.

Etude’s mascara fixer makes my mascara completely water/smudge proof and is the only thing that can make my lashes hold a curl all day, even with a mask on. Can’t recommend it enough!

I love Clinique lash power mascara!!!! I have one eye that always tears up ( joys of getting older). This mascara does not smudge!!!! I sometimes don’t wash my face before going to bed. Mascara not smudged. You need to wash your face and then gently remove the moist gooey mascara from your lashes.

Clinique High Impact Waterproof. I've used Better than Sex in the past but it was always too chunky, dried out quickly and flaked off during wear.

L’Oreal Telescopic Waterproof!

If you have an oily lashline, there is nothing better than Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara or any of the Innisfree ones depending on your need.

There is no flaking, smudging or clumping. Your lashes will not loose their curl. The only downside is having to use an oul cleanser to remove the product.

The only western brand that has semi worked has been the Cover Girl in the green tube.

Thanks to Bailey Sarian, I love lash princess. My only complaint (and I’m totally at fault) is next day it flakes. If I’d take it off properly, I think it would be ok.

No 7 Stay Perfect mascara. A tubing mascara that saw me through two crying jags and a chair nap (missed my flight and had to wait 10 hours for another) with no flaking, smearing or smudging. My lashes looked as good 15 hours later as they did when I put it on!

I really love the Maybelline Full n Soft waterproof.

Honestly any of the Maybelline mascaras have great waterproof versions. My top two from their line though as far as waterproof goes is Lash Sensational & The Rocket.

Covergirl lash blast, orange tube ����

L’oréal sells a lash primer right next to the mascara, they look almost identical. It goes on white or clear and it works miracles to help keep my curl.

I’ve honestly tried so many but I always keep going back to covergirl’s clump crusher. I hate spidery lashes and they look quite natural and stay put during my long class days (13 hours)!

I hate waterproof mascara and only wear it if it’s absolutely necessary. It’s ruins my eyelashes because it’s sooo hard to get off. It’s not worth wearing imo.

Waterproof mascara doesn’t look as nice, I stopped wearing it years ago. I also find when I have to take it off I end up losing lashes from rubbing too hard.

The last knee drop, balling with the running mascara from prom ep (the start), drove that home to me.

I use tubing, not waterproof, because I also hate the smudge shadow and the best I have found is the tartelette tubing mascara. I used and loved maybelline sky high and L’Oréal double extend when exploring tubing mascaras and they are both excellent for the price point.

I love tubing mascara because it comes off as tubes and not flakes so it’s smudge free and comes off with just warm water!

Do you accept drugstore pricing? Heroine make is bullet proof. You have to buy their own specific mascara remover to take it off. It’s ridiculous how smudge proof it is.

Tubing mascara by definition is not waterproof. Some formulas may be able to withstand a certain amount of crying, but you definitely cannot go in a pool or fully saturate your lashes with water without the tubes releasing.

I like the ELF tubing mascara.

I don’t think tubing mascaras are waterproof. They are made to be removed using only warm water and pressure, but may stay on in water as long as you don’t rub them. I like Maybelline SkyHigh and Caliray Come Hell or High Water.

The L'Oreal one with the white primer on one end and the black tubing mascara on the other is pretty decent. I love the brush, it's the old school really bristly style, I feel like it coats all the little lashes instead of clumping them together.

Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes is a better tubing mascara than any of the ones I tried at Sephora and it’s so cheap. I’ve tossed the rest and just keep repurchasing that one. I just want them to make it in multiple colours - or at least brown.

Tubing FTW. Also, lightly dust some translucent powder under your eyes. That will help soak up any oil on your skin.
