Tool Management and Strategy
In Hades 2, managing tools effectively is crucial for efficient resource farming. Players often discuss the limitation of carrying only one tool per run, which can restrict the ability to gather resources from different regions [1:2]. Some players suggest the use of incantations to swap tools between regions, similar to keepsakes, as a potential solution to this limitation
[1:2]. Additionally, animal companions can provide extra instances of resource gathering, making them valuable assets in your runs
[1:5].
Nectar Farming Techniques
Nectar is a sought-after resource that can be challenging to farm. Players recommend focusing on prophecies and trading keys or gems at the broker to acquire nectar [2:1]
[2:2]. Fishing in Elysium can also yield nectar, with rarer fish providing more nectar
[2:4]. While nectar isn't easily farmable, it will accumulate over time, so patience is key
[2:3].
Understanding Resources
For newcomers to Hades 2, understanding the various resources and their uses can enhance gameplay. Darkness is used for mirror upgrades, while gemstones are primarily for cosmetic purchases [3:1]. Nectar advances relationships with characters, keys unlock talents and weapons, and Titan's blood upgrades weapon aspects
[3:1]. Familiarizing yourself with these resources helps prioritize what to collect during runs.
Resource Gathering Challenges
Some players express dissatisfaction with the grindy nature of resource gathering, particularly when dealing with crops and certain tools [1:1]
[1:4]. The system can feel tedious, but others appreciate the added strategy and purpose it brings to each run
[1:1]. Suggestions include having all tools available once unlocked or allowing tool swaps between zones to reduce the grind
[1:6]
[1:11].
Game Mechanics and UI Feedback
Players have mixed feelings about the game mechanics and user interface in Hades 2. While some enjoy the new combat pacing and magic system [5:1]
[5:2], others find the resource gathering aspect less engaging compared to Hades 1
[5:5]. Feedback suggests improvements in UI design, especially regarding weapon and aspect upgrades
[5:7].
I guess I’m in the minority, but I really like the resource gathering system. It’s grindy, yes, but I guess I kind of like that. It makes me feel good for bringing the right tool, and I think gives me more reasons to keep doing runs.
Seeing that most review threads I’ve seen on the subreddit seem to not be the biggest fans of the system, I thought of a possible solution that might help get rid of the tedium without lowering the replayability (and all the grind) that comes with the current system. Additionally, like the current pace of progression.
My solution: Add an incantation that allows you to swap tools between regions, just like there is for keepsakes.
It addresses the problem of getting excess of the early material because you brought a tool along to get a later material. It also allows you to go for multiple types of materials without necessarily making the resource gathering too quick. Finally, it would probably lead to more use of tools that aren’t the shovel or pickaxe, especially in the early zones where people already have an abundance of the materials there.
I’ve seen some other possible solutions, but I think they fall short. Allowing all tools at once would lower the little grind that I’m sure I’m not alone in liking, and would make meta-progression too quick. Then increasing how many resources are needed for everything to counteract it would feel bad, and probably lead to slower progression overall. I like that at the moment you could seek out specific materials and feel like you’re getting ahead on some incantations (like further than you would be if you took a shovel along instead of a pickaxe); it’s a good feeling. Even allowing 2 tools at a time would make everyone carry shovel and pickaxe early on, and then the other two later on.
Just my thoughts, I wanna hear what you guys think too.
TL;DR - Add an incantation that allows you to swap tools between regions, just like there is for keepsakes.
My solution: Add an incantation that allows you to swap tools between regions, just like there is for keepsakes.
Although I would like having them available at all times, this seems like the best fix given the system they're using so far. Especially because resources vary from place to place and picking something like the shovel to get the seeds from the woods means you lose on anything you could've picked from the next biomes.
Having all of them all of the time would completely ruin the point of having different tools in the first place. Letting you change between zones would probably be fine though.
he just said he doesn't think having them all at once would work with the system as convenient as that would be. your arguing with someone that agrees with you! ICANT
I wasn't happy that I could take only one tool, but then I kept playing and now I can take two. I'm not sure what the limit will be.
/edit: apparently the second tool has only one use, but can be upgraded to more uses.
Animal companions get one instance of resource gathering as well + there is an incantation that increases the amount of resource you get.
You can? When? Familiar gives a single tool use but unsure when you get 2 tools
once you play the game more its like having two - I have fully upgraded the frog and cat and ive yet to need more than the 4 uses i get out of the tool from the companion so its basically 2 - you either get 4x fishing and your choice from there - also you dont need the Psyche way quicker than the rest - im also at the point now where i dont need anything but ore at this point anyways so it really doesnt matter once your 40+ hours in
I meant the familiar, but I didn't want to spoil. I just got one last night and I saw it added another tool. It was late so I didn't get to use it; thus, I didn't know it was single use. I'll edit my previous message.
Oh, it’s not the time. I don’t mind the time actually. That’s a neat little reward after each run. It’s the tediousness of planting and reseeding that gets old fast.
All tools should be available at all times once you unlock them. The current system is just unnecessary grind
Honestly idk I think 1 tool is fine, but I dislike psyche being a tool because it is slow and tedious to farm without it. I'd rather just get more/not have a tool for it amd be able to compel shades by default. At like 22 it takes me 200 psyche for 1 more slot which of course wont really get me a card.
I like it. Each run I think to myself what I need and what tool I should bring. Gives a little extra meaning to each run.
The thing I really hope they look at is a quicker way to deal with the crops. I have a ton of seeds. Tending to 6 crops individually between each run is just kind of tedious. Not a huge complaint, but being able to do all of that faster would be nice.
I’m relatively new to the game and can farm darkness and keys rather quickly. What I really struggle with is finding nectar which makes character progression difficult. Do you guys have any tips?
Farm hard for gems and trade them up into nectar. Vanquisher's Keep and Darker Thirst contracted upgrades will expedite the process; before you get those, maybe focus on prophecies and Dio boons as others have said.
You can heed all of these gentlemen's advice, it's all good. But don't worry if you can't farm it quickly, you're not really supposed to. You will eventually get all the nectar you need, it just takes some time. You won't need that much of it in the grand scheme of things anyway.
Try to fish as much as possible in Elysium. And fish well too; they give 1-3 nectars depending on rarity.
I’ll give that a go. I just got the fishing rod and haven’t made it to Elysium enough times to try it
Fishing spots can appear in any level
The nectar isn't really "farmable"as such... It'll naturally come in time. Also it's available through trading part way through the game
Nectar is a bit tough to farm, but you can get a nectar from one of Dionysus' boons. You can also trade keys for nectar at the retched broker, and there are several prophecies that award both keys and nectar in the fated list of minor prophecies.
I had been saving my keys for the mirror but I have plenty unlocked for now. I think it’s time I start investing them elsewhere
I think if you unlock the last mirror upgrade it will be a better option than spending it on Nectar.
With the last mirror upgrade you can change room rewards. So you can change a Gemstone reward to a nectar reward.
I just bought the game and I find the system pretty confusing. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can give a brief description of the dif resouces, how you acquire them and how they are used.
Thank you soo much. I would enjoy the game so much more of I knew what the hell I was doing lol.
I wouldn't worry too much about tracking exactly what each resource does. The game will definitely teach you over time
That being said, if knowing what each resource does will motivate you to keep playing, below are some rough descriptions that i tried to keep spoiler free:
Darkness - purchase mirror upgrades Keys - unlock more of the mirror Gems - upgrade dungeon rooms Nectar - unlock keepsakes Coins - buy shop/well items (goes to 0 each run)
(And less important if you're new)
Blood - upgrade weapon aspects Diamond - higher tier dungeon room upgrades Ambrosia - unlock companions
Thank you!
Ah wow, i think the formatting for my lists messed up
Glad it helps though!
Darkness is the purple droplets. It’s used primarily to upgrade the mirror in Zagreus’ chambers and very lategame cosmetics.
Gemstones are the green, red, and yellow gems. They’re primarily used for purchasing cosmetics, but also some things that affects gameplay.
Nectar is the round bottle with yellow in it. It’s used to gift to friends and gods to advance your relationship with them.
Keys are the keys. They’re used primarily for unlocking mirror talents and weapons.
Titan’s blood is the red blob. It’s used primarily for unlocking and upgrading weapon aspects.
Diamonds are the white gems. They’re used primarily for cosmetic purchases.
Ambrosia is the rectangular/square bottle with yellow in it. It’s used primarily for gifting to friends after you’ve already gifted them a bunch of nectar.
Most of these resources can also be traded for others at a broker eventually.
This is perfect, thank you! At least when I play and watch videos now I'll know wtf they are referring to. Appreciate it greatly!
I don't know if these would count (or where you'd put them), but you can occasionally find Air/Earth/Fire/Water drops in the secondary rooms in Ephyra. They help you with the handful of Boons (Infusions) that boost stats according to how many of each you have.
Found/given for Darkness, should I just keep throwing nectar at Chaos, or is that only from the first one?
I believe Chaos only gives you one of them during an interaction (someone correct me if I'm wrong), and the rest can be found growing there in a similar way flowers do in other regions. Though it seems to be much more rare than finding a regional flower.
Yeah, I got the one you get maybe after your first win? Or first Chaos trial? Burned it in the aspect of Than, and now that final point of grasp is just taunting me
I hope we get some secondary way to spend rubbish. I pick it up constantly and have nothing to use it on after making the bat cage.
These should 1000% be sellable or tradeable for other items. I'm guessing they'll add more uses for it but right now, I'm at 100+ and only pick them up out of habit and OCPD lmao
I mean — it’s literally rubbish. 🤣🤷🏾♂️ Why should trash be tradeable? Edit: Maybe you can be rewarded for keeping the area clean? 🤔
I know. I have, like, 80 of the rubbish
Stardust and Nightmare can be bought from the broker for 800 and 1000 bones respectively, if you ever do a 2.0 of this I think it's worth including.
Ah good point, I'll definitely be adding that in my next update, thank you! Haven't done the incantations to get them added to the shop, so completely forgot you can eventually buy those.
They also appear in the end shop just before the final underworld boss (moondust for I think 1000 gold and n-mare for 1300)
There should be a third page entirely composed of Mel shrugging and text around her saying "NO WE DONT KNOW WHO DROPS ENTROPY, SHUT UP AND BE PATIENT."
Been playing the EA for a while and only now was able to put into words how I feel about everything.
I really really like the Magick system is great and kinda forces me to engage with with combat on a bit of a deeper level.
I'm not too big a fan of the resource gathering though for some reason. Unlike the fishing from H1 it feels like a bit much (I guess I feel more indifferent about it).
Curious to hear what others have to say!
I like the new sprint, and the changes to combat generally. Hades 1 felt rather spammy, I like the combat pacing here a bit better.
I don't like the current UI, there's a lot of minor issues with it. Main example coming to mind is the Fear menu, it's very wonky and hard to read.
Yeah, I barely spend any time with my arcana setup/fear because of it. Also not at all a fan of the UI for the weapons/aspect upgrades. The first games menu for each weapon individually was so much better
Like: surface/underworld run. It's good to have a variation
Dislike: nêmesis stealing our gold if we lose her challenge
I LOVE the variety that having 2 different routes introduces! This might be what makes Hades 2 so addictive for me, far more than Hades 1.
Hate: nemesis makes enough damage to oneshot most enemies in erebus. If you have build that starts off slow you're almost guaranteed to lose 100 gold
Yeah I've seen people say that cast is more versatile now and I very much disagree. I think it can be really fun, but the game is designed around its necessity. And I don't think the casts get very diverse. At the end of the day, it's still just a circle that helps deal with enemy placement.
I loved the cast in Hades 1. You could choose to ignore it or you could get some really fun builds with it. The Meme Beam was my favorite. Beyblades could get ridiculous. There was that duo boon that a second cast every time. Aspect of Poseidon was so fun too.
Hades 2 would break if you could get more than one cast a time, but that was also part of the fun of the cast in Hades 1. With chaos and others, you could end up with an insanely fun and silly build.
Special got way more fleshed out in 2 to make up for the simplicity and homogeny of cast across builds
In 1 all the boons on your special are literally just "more damage and status effect" and it was basically an alternate attack button, with the diversity being in the cast boons instead
in 2 the special boons are far more diverse and actually affect the way a build plays, and the cast boons are the ones that have been simplified to mostly just damage + status effects
I think this way makes way more sense, every build doesn't need a ranged attack so as you say, sometimes your cast was just entirely pointless and not used or booned the whole run, but every build in hades 2 DOES need some form of CC or area denial because they designed every enemy encounter from the ground up with that in mind
I wish it would force you to rarify first before it let you pick I forget 99% of the time
She is infinitely worse about it than Thanatos was in the first game
He was way too easy to beat and Nemesis is way too good at killstealing everything, I'm sure there's a middle ground
Never thought about the casts! At least Hades' launches and sticks like in 1 but yeah, no variety other than that.
like getting to meet some gods in person
Isn’t the only god you can meet in person Artemis?
Thing I like: Erebus, I think it's so well designed as well as the camp. It feels like a lot of thought went into it.
Thing I dislike: the weapon aspects. Hades 1 aspects were awesome and varied so different in how you played. The aspects in Hades 2 feel very lack luster imo. Would love to see some more tweaks to them for sure. And of course it's still in early access. So we'll see what happens.
Hey all, u/ChrisBot8 here, back again to do a little deep dive on a topic I've seen going around that I think I can shine some light on. As always with these I will likely forget something, not know something, or flat-out say the wrong thing on some of these, if that happens please let me know in the comment and I'll update the post! Today I want to talk about the different ways you can make certain things more likely in Hades 2 (many of these will apply to Hades 1 too, but I am more knowledgeable on and have researched Hades 2, so that's where the focus will be). These won't make your expected outcomes happen all the time, but they will be tools you can use to make your runs more consistent. I'll divide this post into three main sections (Boons, Doors, and NPC Encounters), so if you are interested in one portion you can feel free to skip to that part. Let's get started.
In this section, I'm going to go over how choosing boons and gods will affect your ability to get other boons. Some of this might be fairly common knowledge, and some of it might be higher-level play. I'll try to order these in a least to most complex manner.
Core Boons
Hades and Hades 2 weigh giving you "core" boons above non-core boons. So if you are trying to get a specific boon that is not a "core" boon (say you want Duo or Legendary requirements, or just good secondaries like Trusty Shield) you will want to fill your core boon "slots". These slots are displayed on the left side of the screen and represent an Attack, Special, Cast, Dash, and Gain from any god (in Hades 1 Gain is replaced with Call).
Boon Requirements
Some boons require another boon to be offered. For instance, there are many boons that revolve around Wounds or Scorch (I think the two curses that have the most of these) that cannot be offered unless you have a boon that inflicts that curse. So like above, if you are searching for a specific boon, then you want to keep your eye on what boons are unlocked by others, specifically if they unlock multiple boons like boons that inflict the above curses.
The God Pool
I was unsure whether to put this one in doors or boons, but I decided to put it here as it will help you acquire a boon that you are looking for. If you don't know what the god pool is, it is the Olympian gods that you have a boon from. The game wants you to have a four god pool. It will weigh offering you boons from new gods before offering you boons from gods you already have while you do not have a full god pool. So if you are looking for a specific boon from a god that you already have and you don't have four gods it is actually optimal to take a fourth god over other rewards so that the game will offer you the god you are looking for more often.
This section will go over rerolling doors and when it is smart to do so.
Major and Minor Rewards
In Hades and Hades 2 all the room rewards are divided into two categories: Minor and Major. The Minor rewards are ones that give meta progression to the players (Ash, Bones, and Nectar in Hades 2). The Major rewards are the ones that give real value to the run (before the incantations to give the minor rewards value as well). As far as rerolls go, Minor rewards cannot be rerolled into a Major reward and vice versa.
Mini Boss Doors
Mini Boss Doors can only offer non-Hemes boons. This means if you reroll them you are going to get another Olympian, and it is likely to be one already in your god pool if it wasn't before.
Ephrya
Ephyra rewards are limited to Boons, Hammers, Selene, Double Max Health Upgrades, and Double Max Magick Upgrades. These doors are great for rerolling because of two things 1) they are limited to a smaller pool than normal Major Rewards doors are 2) a bunch of the things the doors could be are on the other doors of Ephyra. Basically, the game doesn't like offering the same thing on two different doors, so if you take all the boons of one god in the Ephyra room, but leave all the other gods and rewards, you are much likelier to roll into that god because there are a bunch of blockers for what that door could be rolled to.
This section will go over requirements to get NPC encounters, sometimes called "skip rooms". I would consider this the highest level of RNG manipulation in Hades, and only really useful if you are speed running or playing on very high fear. That said, in either of those cases I would consider this knowledge a prerequisite for doing well.
Artemis, Aracne Eggs, Nemisis, and Athena
I grouped all of these NPCs together because they all have the same requirements for showing up except on different biomes. All of them require the chamber count to be four or greater in the current biome, and the room reward to be "non-menu". Non-menu means the reward from the room cannot bring up a menu to choose its options (examples of menu rewards are Poms, Boons, Hammers, and Selene). The main difference between these NPCs is where they can show up. Artemis can show up in Erebus, Oceanus, and Ephyra. Aracne Eggs can show up in Erebus and Oceanus. Nemisis can show up in Erebus, Oceanus, and the Fields (where her chamber count is set to 1 because of how the fields work). Athena can only (naturally) show up in Olympus.
How Doors Work in Olympus
Doors in Olympus have an "indoor" and an "outdoor" designation, and some rooms and NPC encounters can only be accessed through one or the other. For instance, the mid-shop will only ever be offered on an outdoor door. You can tell if a door is indoor or outdoor based on if it launches you up in the air (outdoor) or if it is a normal door (indoor). I put this here because it's very important for the next section.
Icarus, Haracles, and the Olympus Foutain Chamber
Icarus and Haracles both have standard rules for their encounters like above, but since they also appear in Olympus and have rules around that I wanted to group them together. Icarus can show up in the Ryft and his rules for showing up there are a chamber count of three or greater in the biome and a non-menu room. Heracles can show up in Ephyra and his conditions for doing so seem to be that the room reward is not Selene (that's it).
In Olympus, their conditions change quite a bit. First, Sticky Ic can now only show up after four or later chambers, and Heracles can only show up after five or later chambers. Second, they have indoor and outdoor requirements. Icarus can only show up on outdoor rooms (to drop his bombs), and Heracles and Fountain Chambers can only happen in indoor rooms. So if you are looking for a skip room chamber five or later and haven't encountered Heracles you are slightly more likely to do so by taking indoor chambers.
---
Anyway, that's all I have off the top of my head, but as always I almost certainly forgot something or got something wrong. Please let me know if I did! Also let me know if there's another topic you think would be useful. Looking at the code is pretty fun for me, and I'd like to research things that are useful for the community.
I think you got the nemesis one slightly wrong....she can appear in oceanas too. Regarding ephyra, 2 things are still there....for a speed runner this may matter ....every room in ephyra has different combat durations, some have small and some long.... can't really describe it in words but if you have visited every possible rooms you would get an idea. Secondly the mini rooms ...when you enter a room you can know which mini room will open after the end of encounter by seeing if a wooden cross( ❌) is nailed infront of that door or not. Even though your guide is correct, but I think the subject of your post might be misleading. See what you told is a very good guide about the various things and mechanics of the game but it does not state how to manipulate rng for some things to work out in the favourable run/build.
O you are right about Nem, and yeah I know about the map of Ephyra (which I’ll add to this comment at the end) and the X doors. I wanted to keep this to things that are not guaranteed, but ways to make them more likely if that makes sense (cause if I didn’t it would be forever long (though it already is)).
There are a few higher level things I left off cause I don’t fully understand them yet at a high level and was hoping someone else would come along and explain them (specifically the “reward bag” that is the reason the Rift barely offers boons).
You’re right that Manipulating RNG is probably not a good title for this. I waffled back and forth with what to call this (maybe how to make decisions would have been better?). Unfortunately you can’t edit titles of Reddit, so maybe I reupload it when another patch comes out with updated information and a different name. I’ll take suggestions on that.
Ephyra map for those curious:
Edit: updated Nem! Thanks for pointing that out!
Do we know the exact weight given to core boons in each game? Anecdotally (500ish hours in Hades 1, 350ish hours in Hades 2), it seems that Hades 2 doesn’t favor core boons as heavily. This of course could just be my experience and bear no statistical relevance, but I would really be interested to see if there’s a difference since it sure feels like there is.
Hmmm I can try and find the exact number in the code after work. I would be interested in that as well.
Do you or anyone here know what designates which are the 4 core olympians?
I think, if I lets say pick up 4 olympians in Ephyra, they will be my core 4 and any that comes later is not part of the core 4 and thus is rare later, correct?
If I only pick 3 different olympians in Ephyra, and then via Keepsake a 4th on the boats, and then get a 5th on a door, the Keepsake one is the 4th core and not the door one afterwards, right?
Is there a way to get 5 core olympians?
If I add a 5th olympian with a keepsake, can that become part of the core olympians, or will it be rare after getting the first boon? Or does it get rare after switching keepsakes?
What about Hermes Dropshipping, lets say I get it at a Charon shop where my 4th olympian is for sale and Hermes is so nice to drop me an olympian i also not yet have. Would whichever I take first, the dropshipped or bought one my 4th core olympian, or can I get 5 core olympians that way?
Does it matter which boon I pick? Like the core ones on the left, I initially thought they are designating the core olympians and thus can be 5. Thats incorrect then?
Yeah there’s no such thing as “core” gods. Every god in your god pool is equally likely. So if you have 5 or 6 gods then they are all just as likely to show you a boon in the future. Which I guess that’s either good or bad news. It’s good news cause you can’t “lock a god out” that’s in your pool, but bad news because you can’t make sure to focus on one god.
Thank you.
This tells me that some of my runs had very onesided rng then. Had like 6 different gods in my pool then, and in olympus and the one above I kept seeing Ares over and over again, with like Hestia, who I've added as a 5th one on the boats by using a Keepsake, never showed up afterwards ever again.
Icarus can show up in Olympus?? I’m 300+ nights in and have only ever seen him in the rift.
Still reading, already thanking you for another of your guides, love your stuff man, thanks (:
Hey I love doing them for the community! If you have any suggestions for the next one let me know!
Hey man! Just played a run where my first chamber in Oceanus was Aracne and the second was Charon. Never happened before (and even so I couldn't do a PR in the run 😔), does this go against this room count of 4 or more?
I just played several runs in a row so I can be confused, but I think it was actually: Chaos in the pre first room, then Arachne, then Charon.
Just thought you would like to know.
P.s: regarding another guide I personally would enjoy to either know more about Zeus's boons / What are some overall good arcanas for Speedrun or a deeper exploration of arcanas without necessarily focusing on Speedruning / and last but not least, the general data on the weapons (DMG per hit, attack speed, general dps, etc)
Not sure if any of these interest you, I'm just thinking out loud here hahahaha
Thanks again(:
Interesting, I’ve definitely had a LOT of surface runs where Ic doesn’t show up in the rift and also not in Olympus.
Since many people would be starting this awesome game after it launching on Xbox , so I felt like sharing my experience to help others to avoid the pitfalls ( I fell into) and maximize the game.
Feel free to add your own tips if you found any. These are just some beginner tips for people's reference based on my experience, of course advanced levels such as Elysium needs proper understanding and tactics but I feel by that time you will have figured everything out. All the best and Happy gaming!
I would add is to
read the combinations to get duo boons and legendary boons. If you know how to obtain them you can win every round. The games drop system works in such a way that you will get a duo boon eventually
Always prefer deadalus hammer over anything else
Can you elaborate more on point 1? I didn't quite understand
The game tries to evaluate which god's boons you might want based on the current ones.
For example You one ares's boon and one aphrodite's boon then there is a high chance of next boon being from one of them.
I liked the harpy feather duster found that really helpful
i still think transistor was their best game...not Hades even though i bough all supergiant games on launch on steam except Bastion.
Bastion was an awesome game and hadnt thought of the similarities in gameplay till now
Great tips. Thanks op!
thanks
When do man resources respawn? Running out of wood lol
Revisit completed nodes that had wood chopping (like the sawmill just north of stromkapp), it’s much better and the more you level your woodcutter the more wood you get
Better to chop your wood, it's a much greater yield than waiting for nodes to respawn.
Newbie question, where do you chop it? I've seen it a couple times at random farms. Is it usually farms?
Many camps, settlements, and tracker locations have a wood block to use. You simply need to assign a companion to the woodcutter skill.
It is crazy you can't just chop for wood in the forests
it would be too much wood tho
Almost like it's immersive or something
Yea like roughly how much did it cost in resources?
Thanks! Around 200, but with a dedicated strategy
What is your dedicated strategy?
I've been just always using the poseidon keepsake + entering any chaos gate that appears. I always roll for extra darkness boons at least once too. I also save Bouldy for the very end when I have the most darkness boons. And I always choose any door with darkness (and Sisyphus). Buy any troves, chaos gates and darkness from the pool too. And Dark Thirst, of course. Average run is around ~1500 darkness, I would guess.
Is there anything else I could be doing?
have you just been doing 0 heat darkness farming runs for 200 hours straight?
What is your technique?
I’m being facetious. I saw you provide it twice. Such unrelenting and maddening dedication
What do these ranks do? I get them but I honestly have no idea.
Fun etymology fact: it’s possible that “Hades” means “the invisible,” as it may come from the proto-Indo-European root *weid-, meaning “to see,” and the prefix a-, which effectively means that the word means the opposite of the root(s)
Finally, we ascend to “Eternal Scout.”
You’re telling me they have no real function whatsoever?
Just curious, what do you do with that degree besides own noobs on Reddit?
according to the wiki, it's 325,000 darkness plus a handful of other resources
I'm not economy guru, but one of the experts in my previous corp always recommended to connect water 1(the one with a moon) with warp lane if you're using shipment drone.
If you're using stacking shipments with SC, that one additional destination should give you way more money that connecting higher lvl planet instead.
I also recommend thirtynineninety videos on yt about HS. They should be still good, even after those two years.
You're absolutely right, thanks for pointing that out, I completely forgot about that.
I would probably switch the northern most warp lane to the ice planet instead of Terran
Good point, thank you. I'll also switch the warplane from the southern most fire planet to my second ice planet when I find, colonize and level it up a bit.
Looks fine really. You’ll get more warp lanes. Connecting bigger planets doesn’t really make a difference unless the unconnected planet takes an extra transport to empty it. That will change as transports are upgraded too. Keep working on your economy
Hades 2 resource farming tips
Here are some effective resource farming tips for Hades 2:
Focus on Daily Quests: Completing daily quests can yield valuable resources and rewards. Make sure to check them regularly and prioritize their completion.
Use the Pact of Punishment: Once you unlock it, the Pact of Punishment allows you to increase the difficulty of your runs for greater rewards. Experiment with different conditions to maximize your resource gain.
