What Redditors are Saying

How to Get Free Hulu with Verizon

TL;DR Verizon offers free Hulu as part of its "Disney Bundle," which includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. To access this perk, ensure your Verizon plan qualifies for the bundle and activate it through your Verizon account.

Verizon's Disney Bundle

Verizon provides a Disney Bundle that includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu at no additional cost for eligible plans. This bundle is typically available for customers on certain unlimited plans. To confirm eligibility, check your Verizon account or contact customer service [4]. If you're already subscribed to a qualifying plan, you can activate the bundle through your Verizon account settings.

Activation Process

To activate the Disney Bundle, log into your Verizon account online or via the My Verizon app. Navigate to the "Add-ons & Apps" section and select the Disney Bundle. Follow the prompts to link your Hulu account if you already have one, or create a new account. It's important to ensure your accounts are properly linked to avoid billing issues [3:4].

Account Linking Issues

If you experience any issues with linking your Hulu account to the Disney Bundle, verify your subscription details. Ensure that your Hulu account is set up correctly within the Disney Bundle framework, especially if you pay separately for Hulu without ads [3:2][3:5]. Contact Verizon or Disney+ support for assistance if needed.

Additional Perks

Besides Hulu, Verizon's perks often include other streaming services like Netflix, Max, and ESPN+. These perks can vary based on your specific plan and location, so it's advisable to review all available options in your Verizon account or by contacting customer care [4].

Ask HDFC credit card team first before applying.

If you do want to get a core card get the HDFC Pixel as that is the easiest core card to get and its LTF.

My scenario is peculiar

Earlier I had HDFC Millenia and then I got HDFC Swiggy as LTF

I closed my Millennia (Core card) a few months ago. Will I be eligible for a core HDFC card now?

Any Idea?

Yea bro even I'm getting this for free , but I am looking for a millennium card . Therefore I didn't go ahead with this . Hard to get core card after getting co-branded card

Even after meeting all eligibility criteria of HDFC millennia, I am not able to see that card while filling the form 💀

The hulu app is not shut down lol. I’m on it right now. Just double check your billing to see if you are paying 18.99 or 6.00. If it’s 18.99 it’s not billed correctly. Call in they should be able to help you with some steps to reset it.

im not having connection issues I just wanna know whats to come with my account. I rarely use Disney+ and when im watching something like a movie so do they even have ads?

slamo614 ¡ 1 month ago

Idk. If your Verizon plan is a Disney premium then it’s no ads as well. So if you have hulu no ads it would match in the Disney app. I learned the hard way by having ads in hulu and no ads Disney with a legacy plan at one point now I just have no ads + live

1 upvotes on reddit
Visual_Park ¡ 1 month ago

This. If you have the bundle for Disney+, Hulu but for basic only, your Disney+ will have ads however since you have Hulu (no ads) separately you should not be seeing ads for Hulu contents on Disney+

2 upvotes on reddit

As far as I know, you have to tie your Hulu and Disney+ first, but since you don't pay for both Hulu and Disney+, you likely can't merge your accounts until you are. For any other troubleshooting on this, I would recommend reaching out to Disney+.

Don't forget to claim your "perks on Us"!

Posted by Ok_Lake_1168 ¡ in r/verizon ¡ 2 months ago

Just switched to Verizon wireless and after making the switch I got some emails about getting the "perks on Us".

I called customer care and they really hooked me up, I got Netflix, Max, EPSN+, Disney+ and Hulu all for free, they are sending me a $200 gift card and my gigabit bill went down to $60 a month.

For the Wireless I got 2 free phones ($1200 off each), teacher discount, home internet discount and auto pay so my bill is $120 on the wireless side.

Make sure to take advantage of any free perks! Check your accounts and or call customer care!

Edit: Screenshot of my Home Internet Bill since people think it's fake.

Internet service is often a rip off. $60 a month for gigabit and a router rental doesn't sound like a great deal. The $200 gift card plus one year of free streaming services does make this better than the average ISP cost but your post had me thinking that you had struck gold. You did get a good deal but I would rather pay 50% less than have the free perks.

You are 100% correct that people should call in to get there free perks because otherwise they are paying 50% more for nothing.

You're paying $100 a month for two lines? That doesn't sound like you're getting much of a discount there. $120 a month for two lines sounds like zero discount. I don't understand that part but I''m not a bill expert.

I wish your bills were lower but maybe the streaming services are gold to you. And you being happy is all that matters. I thank you for sharing a positive story here. And I'm also glad that Verizon is still making people really happy these days.

I would just mention that 1-year limit on the free streaming Verizon perks because that is different than them being free until you change your plan or leave.

2 upvotes on reddit
Ok_Lake_1168 ¡ OP ¡ 2 months ago

So I should clarify that for my area this is pretty much like striking gold. Im in NY so for gigabit service without discounts is actually $99 + $10 router rental so $110 + tax. So for the home internet without the perks included it's basically 50% less.

Same with the 2 lines. So Verizon charges $90 a line so $180 + phones + taxes so it's likely well over $200 mark. So $120 for me is definitely a steal.

Prior to Verizon I was on AT&T paying roughly $180 a month. So if I factor in everything I saved over $100 a month just by switching and consolidating my bills and subscriptions.

For home internet my only options are optimum or Verizon and optimum is $74.99 for 500mbps.

So when I look at it from what my costs would be without discounts and what I was currently paying vs what I'm at now it does feel like I hit pretty good lol. It's all relative at the end of the day

2 upvotes on reddit
Merendar333 ¡ 2 months ago

Thank you. I was hoping you were in some kind of monopoly area where prices would be like that. That is really expensive though. I'd happily downgrade to 50 MB service depending on how many streamers you have in the house.

Thank you again because I was kinda sad that a teacher like yourself receiving the discount was, overall, paying really normal prices. Paying $50 less a month for Internet is gold but the 2 cell phones seem to be costing too much and that hurts the Internet savings.

*Edit: that optimum is unbelievable. I love how you are paying less for better service. That's the biggest win you can get!

Unbelievable. That's why I'm not a bill expert because those plan prices don't make sense to me. I thought Verizon only had 3 plans right now and the most expensive was only $55 a month, before taxes of course. Maybe that's why Verizon makes me log in to see the plan prices because they vary the pricing by area and you're in a $90 a month area.

Fantastic job on getting those savings! I know that is one of the best days of the year for a lot of people. I've had friends do things like that before but I haven't been that lucky.

The time-limited perks always bothered me but if you're good at keeping track of when your 1 year expires, you are golden. I'm not a big streamer so getting a free perk that I'll have to remember to cancel in 6 months and that I don't use feels like a gimmick to me. But I think Xfinity is good at actually offering some bundles that save money so if Xfinity can do, Verizon can do it.

>$60 a month for gigabit and a router rental doesn't sound like a great deal.

Are you serious? Practically every other provider charges $70 and over for gigabit. How much do you expect to pay for a gig with the router fee waived?

3 upvotes on reddit
Merendar333 ¡ 2 months ago

I am serious but I didn't seriously value the gig speed because it's ludicrous from my point of view. 100 mbs is still twice what I would need on my heaviest usage that I can possibly imagine - a 4K streamer, a 1K streamer, 2 phones.

I think $30 monthly for Internet is a fair price. In my area, Verizon was offering that for a year or two--plus a bunch of promos on top of that--but I think they raised the price to $35 monthly recently but I could be wrong.

I was wrong to equate gigabit with basic service although they both are the same for me--much beyond what I could ever need--and I assumed the same for the teacher that was posting.

I had two accounts login for Hulu ( one not tied to Disney plus some how) that I was trying the discount on. Support had me close that and go through the Disney plus login (with the discount) to sign up with Hulu with ads . Then I added the without ads to that Hulu account. A bit weird to do it this way rather than turn on the discount on the stand alone one.

Adding Ad-free Hulu to 6 month free Disney+ perk

I did find the answer. You have to sign up for the Hulu w/ No ads plan first. Then sign up for the free 6 month Disney Plus perk. Then on the Verizon page, pay $5 to upgrade to the Disney Bundle. You then link your Disney account to the Hulu account on the Disney+ web site. You will then be charged $6 a month for ad-free Hulu.

So in total, I am paying Verizon $5 and Hulu $6 for a total of $11 a month for ad-free Disney, ad-free Hulu, and ESPN+.

yes, you do it through the Hulu account page.

There's a section of the page called your subscription, then you click "manage plan" on the next page you click the toggle next to "Hulu no ads". then you pay $6 plus tax and you're done.

Note: This cannot be done if you have the $10 perk for the new MyPlans. If you want ad free Hulu you have to subscribe to the stand alone ad free Hulu plan(Full price) before activating the perk.

Somar2230 ¡ 1 year ago

It might still work but it appears that Hulu puts you in the $25 trio bundle then gives you a $11.99 Verizon credit. $13.99 is better than $24.99 if you have done it before they removed the Hulu (ads), Disney (no ads) and ESPN+ you would have paid $6.

https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/comments/19evmri/disney_bundle_different_price_5g_get_more/

1 upvotes on reddit
johnothy ¡ 1 year ago

Yes, you re-add the bundle after subscribing yourself to ad fee Hulu. Then activate it on the Disney plus site first, then scroll down and click activate Hulu with your same login and then it should come up you’ll pay $6.00 after the 11.99 Verizon credit. Chat with Hulu and explain you had to subscribe to Hulu ad free first before adding your Verizon plan to the account to get it setup up and they should credit you.

1 upvotes on reddit
Slim706 ¡ 1 year ago

How does this work? Hulu ad free standalone is $17.99 by itself. You can’t use a play credit to pay for the bundle, otherwise the $24 Disney plus premium trio would be an option.

1 upvotes on reddit
B
Busy-Solution7642 ¡ 1 year ago

EDIT I misunderstood what you asked... my original post what for customers that get the Disney Bundle PERK not the ones that get it free with Get/Play more...

for the free bundle customers, when you go to the Hulu account, and toggle ad free on, you'll see a credit for the current retail price of Hulu with ads.

Here's what the Verizon FAQ says:

"After you enroll and complete account setup of all 3 streaming services that are part of the Disney Bundle perk, you’ll see a credit from Hulu on your billing statement for an amount equal to the then-current retail price of Hulu (With Ads), for as long as you maintain an eligible subscription through Verizon.Note:Unless otherwise directed, to receive any credit, existing subscribers must complete Hulu account setup through the link provided by Disney+.

Existing Hulu (With Ads) and Hulu (No Ads) subscribers billed directly by Hulu may need to manage services to complete Hulu account setup.

Subscribers to one of Hulu's Live TV plans or the Disney Bundle billed directly by Hulu must cancel or switch their base plan to the Hulu (With Ads) or Hulu (No Ads) plan to complete Hulu account setup."

Just to say, I held onto Get More for a while. But for my needs, I could actually just switch down from Get More to Unlimited Plus (saving $10 dollars) and then add back the Disney Hulu bundle for $10. I lose the accumulation of additional travel passes, but I rarely travel internationally anyway.

I do wish I could upgrade to ad free Hulu, though.

Hulu and Netflix are free? What am I not understanding?

Posted by IBeCuriousMang ¡ in r/tmobile ¡ 1 year ago

I have magenta max plan, but I am looking to change to a military plan soon.

From my understanding, there is a free version of Netflix with ads right now and there will be after the change happens on the 24th, right or no? Then Hulu will be free for those who have a standard Netflix subscription through T-Mobile and that Standard subscription is free with ads and only 2 screens?

So then, is it possible to get both Hulu and Netflix free starting the 24th?

Sorry, im just trying to get a better understanding on this because that sounds like a sweet deal as someone who doesn’t mind ads.

Anyone who activates going forward has to have Next but T-Mobile is retroactively giving existing customers who currently have Standard Netflix Hulu with ads. That means Magenta Max/Go5G Plus/T-Mobile One Plus(?) family accounts will get it. I’m guessing T-Mobile One non Plus family accounts get it too since they only can get standard as an option even though they pay $4 for it.

Everyone with Magenta Max (EDIT: and 2 or more lines) has always had the ability to activate the offer and get free Netflix Standard (no ads). You just need to log into your account, then go to https://my.t-mobile.com/account/addon-feature and you'll see it there. If you haven't activated it, there should be a link to do that (either you can create a new Netflix account, or link it to an existing Netflix account)

My understanding is that MM users who have Standard Netflix/no ads will continue to receive standard/no ads - it is only the lower tier plans that will be switched from Basic Netflix/no ads to Standard/with-ads. (EDIT: SON OF A......!!!!!! JUST SAW ALL THE MESSAGES, AND ALSO JUST RECEIVED TEXT FROM T-MOBILE THAT SAY IT WILL BE DOWNGRADED TO HAVE ADS FOR EVERYONE!!!! WTH!?!?!?

Since they're saying that Hulu will be offered to "everyone who already has Netflix", you might want to activate the free Netflix now if you haven't - there's always the possibility that they mean "everyone who has already activated their Netflix offer before 1/24" or something like that; better safe than sorry.

how to get free Hulu with Verizon

Here are the key considerations for getting free Hulu with Verizon:

  1. Eligible Plans: Verizon offers free Hulu subscriptions with certain unlimited plans. Check if you have one of the following:

    • Verizon Unlimited
    • Verizon 5G Get More
    • Verizon 5G Play More
  2. Activation Process: If you have an eligible plan, you can activate your free Hulu subscription through the Verizon website or app. Look for the "Add-Ons" section in your account.

  3. Hulu Account: If you already have a Hulu account, you may need to link it to your Verizon account. If you don’t have one, you can create a new Hulu account during the activation process.

  4. Duration: The free Hulu offer typically lasts for the duration of your Verizon plan. Make sure to check the terms, as they may vary.

  5. Promotions: Occasionally, Verizon may run promotions that include additional streaming services or discounts, so keep an eye out for those.

Recommendation: If you’re eligible, take advantage of this offer as it can save you around $7-$15 per month, depending on the Hulu plan you choose. Ensure you read the terms and conditions to understand any limitations or requirements.
