Try having the theme not as a folder but as a zip file

I don't know much about making themes, but perhaps try downloading it through the Theme Plaza website with QR code?

There are homebrew apps for that like Anemone3DS

Hack your 3DS with 3ds.guide.

Install Anemone3DS with FBI.

Go to ThemePlaza.

First step: Anemone

Second: themeplaza.art/themes

Third: Go bonkers.

You cannot on mobile but there is a 3ds theme editor for PC.

Library's have a pc. You can try your local county surplus to get a cheap pc.

make sure you run the theme installer that was added to the home menu, then it will be in your Anemone theme list

Download a theme and open Anemone.
Install the theme and press start then home.
Pressing home before pressing start cancels the install.

Are you making sure you’re hitting START instead of the home button after installation?

Hiyaa!! First, your 3ds HAS to be modded for this. As soon as you finish, a bunch of apps will be downloaded, including anemone, which will let you download custom themes from 3ds theme plaza by just scanning a QR code. Good luck on that :3

My themes button hasn't worked since i installed homebrew onto my 3DS like a year ago. I thought it was supposed to be like that.
