TL;DR Use oil-based removers or natural oils such as coconut or olive oil, combined with gentle rubbing and steaming techniques.
Oil-Based Removers and Natural Oils
Several users recommend using oil-based makeup removers or natural oils like coconut oil, olive oil, or castor oil to effectively loosen eyelash glue [1:2]
[2:1]
[4:1]. Applying a generous amount of oil directly onto the lashes can help dissolve the adhesive. It's suggested to leave the oil on for a few minutes before gently wiping it off with a warm washcloth
[2:1].
Steaming Techniques
Using steam can enhance the effectiveness of the removal process. Covering your eyes with a warm, wet washcloth after applying oil can help break down stubborn glue [2:1]. A steamy shower combined with a cleanser may also aid in loosening the glue
[5:5].
Gentle Rubbing and Tools
When removing glue, it's important to avoid aggressive scrubbing, which can damage your natural lashes. Instead, gently rub along the lash line with a cotton bud or fingertip [3:1]. Using a clean spoolie to coax out remaining glue can be effective if done carefully
[4:2].
Alternative Methods
If traditional methods aren't working, some users have found success with unconventional solutions like lotion [5:3]. While not ideal, it can soften the glue without causing irritation. However, caution is advised as different adhesives may require specific removers
[2:2].
Considerations Beyond the Discussions
While these methods are widely recommended, always check the adhesive's instructions for any specific removal guidelines. If you suspect using a more permanent adhesive by mistake, consider purchasing a specialized remover designed for lash extensions [2:3].
Hii, i’m a 17 year old girl, and i wore lashes yesterday, and i haven’t worn any in a while. I use the kiss strip lash adhesive and i believe i put to much on as i now have some stuff on my eyelashes and when i try to pull it out with my hands or a tweaser it really hurts. What are some easy ways to remove eyelash glue from the natural lashes.
Do you have anything mild you could use to remove it? Remover wipes? Micellar water? Makeup remover? You could even try coconut oil
Are you sure you didn’t use a more permanent adhesive? I would be getting in the shower and try getting warm water over your eyes to try and gently remove it
i feel asleep when I came home it was late, it was my first time falling asleep with lashes on. 🥲 :(
That shouldn’t make a difference. I wear lashes all day everyday and never have a problem if I wear them a few hours or 24 hours
i made the mistake of applying lash glue to my eyelid instead of my falsies bc i thought it would be easier that way. now im paying for it bc my eyelashes are clumped from glue and my eyelid is still sticky after i used makeup remover, aquaphor, steam, face wash, and an oil based cleanser, after i wiped gently, i soaked, and scrubbed my eyelids aggressively. after all that, it's STILL THERE. i can't get it off and im starting to freak out 😭😭😭😭😭😭
im considering rubbing alcohol at this point even though i might go blind or something from it. please help 😭😭😭😭😭😭
What brand did you use and what is the specific glue called? Have you tried looking for "'product name' removal"? I'm so sorry this is happening to you, but I think people might be able to help you more if we know which one it is!
it's the lilly lashes lash glue
Try not to scrub! Vaseline (aka petroleum jelly) or coconut oil will remove the most stubborn lash glue. Just slap a thick layer on and cover it with a warm wet wash cloth for a few minutes. The steam from the wash cloth will help the glue break down!
i did that with aquaphor, didn't help and im starting to think these mfs are selling gorilla glue instead of lash adhesive 😭
Is this your first time using this eyelash glue? I'm wondering if you might have bought lash extension glue/permanent lash glue by accident. If so, you would need to purchase a special remover.
Oh man I’ve done that before. I usually let it dry and then pick off what I can when it’s gummy. you can try a q-tip dipped in a little bit of olive oil and gently rub along your lash line to loosen it up and then pick off the clumps. All of it may not come off right away and may gradually migrate and clump up in the corner of your eye, but then just pick it out.
okay, i'll try this for now since none of the other advice has helped. tysm!

take a hot shower
did that, didn't help 😭
goddam strong ass glue😭😭😭
Dip them in oil and leave it for 5 minutes after that use twizer to remove that glue
Try coconut oil
I thought oil could damage the lashs integrity itself? Cause they're also all just stuck together with glue
Hi on a side note can you recommend some lashes that look an enhanced version of natural and can be worn to work on a regular basis. I am pretty much clueless regarding this.
Same here this is the first lash i have ever bought so ive no idea sorryyy🥲
Micellar water/makeup remover - use a little dish to drop em in for a few minutes, then rub the band gently with a fingertip or cotton bud. Rinse.
Oil based cleansers (even Pond's cold cream) is an option, you could use one of those just on the band and then rinse. But actual oil will take soap and rubbing to fully remove after, and might damage the lashes. If there's any oily residue glue won't apply well the next time you try and use them 🤔
I like to massage cleansing oil right on to my lashes, really well, then wipe off with a steamy-hot washcloth. Anything that really sticks around, I "coax" out of my lashes with a clean spoolie, doesn't pull out your lashes as long as the glue is soft, and not built up (I do this every night).
If you want to use an oil, use castor oil! My eye doctor recommended that as an eye makeup remover. It is the most safe for your eyes
thank you! i always seem to still have clumps on after wearing them
thank you!
An oil-based makeup remover or even just straight oil (I like squalane or argan, but whatever you have should work, even baby oil or olive oil) loosens glue well for me. Just dab a little on and gently rub until the glue sluffs off. Then follow with your normal cleanser.
i’m pretty new to falsies… and i can NOT get the glue off. i’m also on a trip so my options are limited :( the glue is a black one by kiss and i just genuinely cannot get the majority of it off. my eyelashes are pretty much coated and i don’t wanna cause any damage. :,(( pls help
Do you have access to a makeup remover or cleanser from a drugstore? Put some on a paper towel and pinch your lashes and do a little rub but don’t pull, just dissolve a little glue layer by layer. Hope this helps!
i tried that and it didn’t work :( this lash glue is so stubborn for no reason
Yikes! Super steamy shower + cleanser?
When I don’t have makeup remover or coconut oil, I’ll go for lotion. It softens it up and isn’t overly irritating. Good luck lady!
that worked the best outta everything i tried!! that and cleanser got it out of the most built up areas (reapplied glue bc somehow my lash didn’t stick lol) and lost three eyelashes in the process. but hey, inner corners clean now

Any good methods or products to remove eyelash glue from eyelids? I always have the hardest time removing all the glue. I use the house of lashes white adhesive glue. Thanks!
I use the neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover I struggled with the same problem this works like a charm and it’s really cheap
Thanks! I’ll try that!!
Try Kiss lash adhesive, it works better for me and its easy to remove. I use qtip that i dip in makeup remover and just gently rub it on the lash band until it melts off the glue. Lashes should slowly fall off your lids.
Ohhh this sounds good. I’ll definitely have to try this. Thanks!
An oil based makeup remover or a bit of olive oil, coconut oil, etc on a q-tip should do the trick!
Thanks! I keep coconut oil in my bathroom counter. I’ll definitely try that

I have a thick mess of glue on my expensive eyelashes. I picked most of it off, but there is still a lot left. Is there an easier way to get it off? I tried soaking in make up remover before I picked it off, but it just made it more gooey.. didn’t really loosen it up.
Did you use the glue specified by the lash brand? Not all of them have recommendations, but if they're expensive I assume they have a preferred bonder.
If not, maybe try searching the glue product online, and see if they have some sort of unique solvent needed.
Finally, if you're hitting a dead end, keep using gentle removers and cleansers. What type of material are the eyelashes made of? In the past I've had luck with soaking in witch hazel and using tweezers to help peel residue off.
Also, when they're damp, be sure to lay them out to dry in a position that will help them continue to maintain their shape! <3
yup! the lashes are house of lashes and i used the glue that came with it. i didn't even think to look up what they recommend, lol.
i believe the ones i have are synthetic. i have some witch hazel, i can give that a try! thank you :)
The best way: replacing them with new pairs, I have a lot of eyelashes sent out to my customers everyday, LOL!
There's a eye lash glue remover (ardell duo lash) at cvs or walgreens.. It's a small container for a few bucks. I dip a qtip in it, rub it over my lashes and it comes off so quick.
I soak mine in warm water for a few minutes and the glue comes off super easy, along with all the mascara on the actual lashes.
i tried water too! it helped somewhat but it was still on there pretty thick. beauty is a pain :p
I use alcohol on a cotton pad and it works wonders
didn't even think of this. thank you!
Tear it directly. Lol
I love wearing false lashes, but I hate the cleanup. Do you guys have any suggestions for cleanup or an alternative adhesive method that is long-wearing? Micellar water usually takes everything off, but it has met its match with glue. 😅
I use anything that works like an oil. Liquid that has a two layer liquid that you have to shake or something that is designed to melt makeup like the Clinique take off the day balm.
A make-up removing towel (not a wipe but those special towels are amazing), make-up removing soap, and patience. I scrub like you would polish silver, very gently. The skin around your eye is delicate, and you don't want to irritate it or cause wrinkles.
I use the oily micellar water
carefully tearing it off with tweezers is kinda relaxing
I feel your pain! I actually wear strips every day because I hate my natural lashes, so I deal with this a lot. I’ve used a few eye specific makeup removers that have worked well in the past, but most of the time if I get warm water on a makeup eraser towel and kind of soak/hold it on my eye for 2 minutes or so, it kinda of loosens it up so I can gently rub or peel it off. I usually do one eye at a time while I watch TV. Interested to see if there are any other suggestions that come through!
hi guys!
i recently started wearing lash clusters and i’ve been struggling to remove the lash bond glue. i’ve been using the garnier micellar water but it takes me so so long to scrub the glue chunks off. does anyone have any recommendations that are effective?😭
also i was curious how long you can actually wear the lashes for. i’ve seen some people say to change them daily while other people wear them for weeks
You have to use oil!
If you have an oil-based makeup remover or lash remover that will work, but so will plain old coconut oil.
Works super fast, within 2 minutes!
Agreeing with this answer. I use KISS falscara remover, but coco oil works too. I put a small amount on a cotton ball or pad and set it on my lashes for 10 secs then gently rub. They come right off.
thank you!! i’ll try it :)

I have the same issue 😭😩 gonna follow this thread and hope that we get an answer♥️
Hi, bit of a strange one. I had my lash top up yesterday and after I left the appointment found that there is a small clump of lash glue stuck in my brow. I have messaged my lash tech explaining but she’s not replied. Any advice how I can get this glue out without having to cut it out?
Try baby oil, then gently tweeze the clump until it separates from itself and your hair!
Use baby oil or coconut oil. Put on glue and let soak for about 10 mins
Thank you!! Trying this now
Olive oil
If it’s a studio go back there now and someone can do it for you.
They’re closed on Sunday’s unfortunately! I was one of her last appointments of the day and did some errands afterwards. Only notice when I got home and she’d closed! Can’t believe she didn ’t tell me
