Leah's a tricky one, kinda like Sebastian in regards to hiding away in a room for most days except that she isn't as much of a homebody. She spends mornings and evenings inside her cabin by the lake (same area as Marnie's farm), the rest of her time spent coming out to look at the lake, hang out at the bar on weekends, and stop by Pierre's shop. Any time! I’m also trying to get better at making friends with people, so a few other tips: Gus is always at the bar 12-12, every day. After the bus stop is open, Pam is there 10-5, at the bar after, so you can talk to them both after 5. Marnie is also another easy person as her shop is close, open most days, and after 2 hearts you can also go in when it’s closed. She also works at the saloon after 5 more than half the days, so the saloon at like 8pm lets you talk to 3 really easy extra people.

I’ve given this a lot of thought and think it’s a fun thing to think about!

My two heart event would be you helping me get a book down from the bookshelf in the library. We share some witty banter and realize we like the same genres of books. I say I’ll see you around.

My four heart event would be running a pet adoption event with Marnie where we volunteer together. I convince you to like cats and we manage to adopt all the available pets out. Lewis takes home a cocker spaniel and Leah adopts a sweet orange cat with chaotic energy.

My eight heart event would be inviting you to a picnic. I bring your favorite snacks (which you mentioned to me during the first heart event at the library) and tell you you’re the first person I’ve truly connected with here in town and how thankful I am to have met you.

And finally! My ten heart event would be taking a ride out to Calico Desert to explore and end the night by watching a sunset. I bring a bottle of wine and we toast to our future under the sunset. I end by saying while the sunset is beautiful, it pales in comparison to you ♥️

6 hearts: farmer comes over, finds me miserable and bedrotting and I explain the reason for my weird unpredictable schedule (chronic illness). I don't usually talk to people about it much but they've been a good friend. I moved to pelican town to get away from the noise of the city and be closer to nature

I love the roast chicken idea, a lot, but I’m quite attached to my chickens now and knowing it may be one of mine on the table makes my heart hurt a little bit too! I think this is why some people become vegetarian in real life… oh dear, I probably shouldn’t have said that. I’m not vegetarian at all, but just thinking about eating one of my Stardew chickens is giving me second thoughts 🐣🐓

every single event would be the exact same. the farmer comes across me and we chat, each discussion will mention my cats at least once, probably show them multiple photos of said cats. with each heart level the conversation gets longer, with short awkward pauses and branches off into completely unrelated topics

the farmer will know im completely befriended when i become reverse haley and start insulting them lovingly

This is a great question!

I think I'd be a non romanceable NPC, maybe I'd have a flower shop, and my 2 heart event would be a bit like Caroline's, it would open a special room and unlock something for the player. Dunno, like plant pots and plant decor would come from my shop.

I'd love to be a librarian instead or book seller, but those are taken, dang it 😅

I always liked Leah. She is smart, beautiful, independent, and she understands me as she herself gave up living in a big city for the calm and quiet of the country side. I had everything I wanted. A large house, a thriving farm, a lot of cash. So I decided why not get married. I mean we (me and Leah) were in relationships for over a year and I felt bad for keeping her in limbo.

So we got married. At first everything was good. But then the shit got weird.

First it was Emily. I have been nice to her and suddenly she ambushes me at her home and starts twerking for me. I mean girl, I have a wife! what are you doing? And now Clint thinks I am his rival. I am married dude. Just stop stalking her and go talk to her you creep.

And then it was Abigail! Really? "Ghosts" are telling "I love the farmer"? What is next? Ghosts want you to get a banquet? You know what? "Ghosts" can fuuck right off!

At least Penny didn't say anything weird. That little shit Vincent did! "When you gonna marry miss Penny!" Didn't your parents teach you to mind your own fuucking business?

And what is it with Demetrius getting all weird when I talk to her daughter? I am a married man for god's sake. Just because I gave her a couple of batteries doesn't mean I'm gonna shag her.

OP only mentioned friendly scenes, no scenes with 8+ hearts, so they didn’t initiate anything bigger than friendship, you can’t blame it on them

however, even when you act out after being married, it’s still weird: I married Seb, then gave a bouquet to his sister, and she was excited, told their parents about it, and everyone was cool. perhaps they hate Sebastian that much…

Thats funny, because no one was excited when I dated maru. Her dad was instantly pissed. Like, to be clear, I talked to him within seconds of dating maru, and he was pissed. I just assumed it was a maru thing, but maybe he's just homophobic. Or he hates me personally.

In singleplayer mode, Marriage is possible only with a villager who is marked as "single" in the Social tab. For marriage between players in a Multiplayer game, see Multiplayer and Wedding Ring.

Before proposing marriage, you need to earn 10 hearts of friendship with your intended partner, which requires you to give them a bouquet (at 8 hearts of friendship). You will also need to repair the bridge east of Elliott's cabin (costs 300 wood) and upgrade the farmhouse at least once.

One of the library's Lost Books, entitled "Marriage Guide for Farmers", also explains the process.

““Before you ask someone to marry you, you'll have to date them for a while first (Ask someone to date you with a bouquet from Pierre's).

When you're ready to pop the big question, you'll need to give them a 'Mermaid's Pendant'. Everyone knows what it means when you present them with one of those.

It's rumored that on stormy days, the ghost of an old mariner appears in Stardew Valley, clutching just such a pendant.

After the wedding ceremony, your partner will move in with you. Remember to treat your spouse well... They still like gifts even after marriage!

I've recently started this game and I've tried becoming friends with Leah. I know that for the two heart event I have to go to her house, but whenever I try it always says only her friends can enter. I only have one heart with her. What do I do?

Edit: It worked! I was able to enter her house and get the cutscene. Thanks for the help.

You have to get one more heart with her to become friends. You won't see the event until you are at two heart. So talk to her every day, you can give gifts twice a week
