Skelly Statues
To unlock Skelly statues, you need to clear certain heat levels both on the surface and in the underworld. Specifically, you must conquer with fear modifiers set at 8, 16, and 32 heat levels [1:1]
[1:4]. The requirements are displayed on the fear modifiers panel, and it's important to talk to Skelly, as his dialogue might provide additional clues
[1:3].
Gates in Hades Palace
Unlocking gates in Hades Palace requires obtaining a key from the Warden of Souls. This key is found further into the palace after defeating the warden [2:3]
[2:4]. Once obtained, the key is recyclable and can be reused for later characters
[2:5].
Legendary Keepsakes
Secret stash locks at the bottom of the keepsakes are tied to Legendary Keepsakes. These are unlocked by maxing out relationships with certain characters and giving them Ambrosia [3:1]. There are currently four Legendary Keepsakes available.
High Heat Rewards
Skelly offers rewards for completing runs with progressively higher heat levels. These rewards are tied to heat levels such as 6, 12, and 32 [3:3]. Completing runs at these heat levels will unlock additional rewards.
Additional Tips
While specific secret areas may not yet be accessible, continuing to engage with characters, exploring new dialogues, and experimenting with different weapons and clears can potentially reveal more secrets and unlocks. Keep an eye on updates and community discussions for any newly discovered areas or methods.
I have seen people say that you can get skelly statues in hades 2, but I have beaten the game on as high as 24 heat now and they still havent popped up. How do you unlock them?
They’re in the training grounds, directly right from Skelly. You have to clear 8/16/32 on both the surface and underworld for each one.
I have beaten both on 8 heat. Does it need to be with the same weapon or do I have some kind of bug?
You get the requirements on the fear modifiers panel on the left.
You need to finish the game with the required fear BOTH on by surface and underground!
keep talking to skelly, eventually his dialogue tells you about them.
As soon as you unlock fear modifiers it should say on the bottom left of the modifier screen "conquer the underworld" "conquer the surface" with a number next to them which indicates fear you need (you might have to speak to Skelly first idk)
Once you conquer both areas at the required fear just go talk to Skelly each time. I think the first statue only requires 8? fear for both clears.
Weird, I have def beaten both on as high as 16 heat, and there is nothing in the bottom right, nor has there ever been on this save.
i cant say for sure but I think you have to get a dialogue with him that only pops up after you get a clear with all the weapons. it may have been a coincidence but I got the cutscene right after getting a win with my last weapon
Keep going. You'll run into a big guy with a key.
advance further until you meet the warden and slay that mf he will provide you with the key
The key from the Warden of souls, a bit further in. It's recyclable and reusable for later characters
It's one of those random items I kept in storage that made life easier
you need to have the key from the warden in your inventory
if you leave no enemy alive, you will eventually find the key.
There is also a (kind of hidden) majestic chest you only reach if you have the key. right by some cliffs, next to a door.
I've done some searching but couldn't find anything
Is it possible to open the two locked doors in the entry area?
What are the secret stash locks at the bottom of the keepsakes for?
Anything else that is unlocked well after several wins? Or only with high heat?
As far as anyone has found, not yet
Legendary Keepsakes from a couple characters that you have maxed out relationships with. You'll start giving them Ambroisa. There are currently four.
Skelly might have a couple "rewards" for you after doing clears with progressively higher heat levels
How much heat do you need for those rewards? Are those the same rewards as from The Useless Trinket from the Fated List of Minor Prophecies?
6 heat, 12(?) heat, and 32 heat.
Awesome, thank you!!
So I'm on my millionth (not literally of course, but I've lost count) playthrough of God of War 2 after not having played in years and I cannot for the life of me remember if this is a secret room that I can access now, or if it's something I'll come to later. Don't want to miss anything, so does anyone know? It's right after you activate the horse statues and pull the island into position. Sorry for the awful picture quality 😅
After staring at it a while ago I think it's where you initially got on the chain to the steeds but the chain shifted up after you got them to move
Weird, I don't remember that being the case. But as I said, it's been years haha. Didn't click that the chain had just moved for some reason
Could be 100% wrong lmao
It's the room that you got on the chain from on your way to the steeds... You fight a siren or two in there
Oh okay. I guess that didn't click since the chain seems to have moved up now I guess?
The chain moves up because the horses dragged it forward to move the Island (less slack now). You pass through a square link to reach the Steeds from that siren room, and you step over it on the way back.
I always wanted a better look at the thing, but the Tallneck was always in the way. Nice find!!
Cool, thanks . Will definitely try this!
Good find !
I've been over there two-three times by other means, and the area you can move in without reload is actually really tight. You need to follow the chasm closely, can't go down into the pit… It's the same on the other side outside of the parts you traverse afterward.
So there seems to be next to no info online about unlocking these beyond that they are from Megaera, Skelly, Dusa, Sisyphus, Thanatos, and Achilles. All it says is be there best buds, give nectar, and you get them.
I'm over 60 runs, have escaped before, most of the 6 have gotten 5-6 nectars from me, but I have yet to unlock any secret stash. Are there any guides on what actually triggers getting them? Anyone know how to get any of them? Any help on this be really cool thanks in advance.
Are you referring to Cthonic Companions? They can be unlocked by gifting these characters with Ambrosia after maxing out the amount of Nectar you can gift. If the option isn't available yet, you'll need to complete a side objective that they give you through conversation, if you've completed it, keep coming back and talking to them after each run. It will be available pretty soon.
wow! I wish I had known, damn. I kind of stopped caring a bit about gifting the nectars. I've gone through 20 runs without doing it once. I will be doing that now, I have given one to Megara every time I see her though as she is one my favorite characters in the game.
Do you know what the side quests are? Achilles seems to be related to Patrocius, which i'm working on that, i'm totally lost on the other 5. Skelly has been maxed for like 15 runs, I have no idea how to get his side quest to start.
Meg & Than: >!You have to just become closer over talks both in and out of runs. This comes down to luck in meeting them during runs sometimes unfortunately and they also have to talk to other characters like Nyx or Dusa as well which can take a while to show up.!<
Dusa: >!You have to help improve the lounge for her. You have to get quite a lot of the upgrades including the Honor Bar in order to progress her relationship.!<
Skelly: >!You should have a quest to slay him with the Lv 5 Aspect of Zagreus sword. You need to do that in order to progress his relationship.!<
Achilles: >!You need to convince Achilles to try to go back to Patroclus. Doing so requires a lot of talking between Achilles and Patroclus bring news of one to the other. Then you need Nyx to be available (ie. Not talking about something else) in order to find his contract and finally break the contract with the House Contractor.!<
Sisyphus: >!You need to break his contract as well which includes talking with him, Meg and finally finding the contract with Nyx's help again.!<
Just keep playing and upgrading things.
Skelly needs to you to have 4 non-Zag aspects unlocked.
The rest really is to just keep playing and making sure they're at the locked heart.
What about chaos?
https://youtu.be/rEJTPs6KsIU Found Raid chest while on the way back from hobgoblin
EDIT: I found another secret chest back from the Hydra boss you can find symbols on the things around the floating orb like the last one in the video I got 4ish or 5 out of 6 one does highlight and then un highlights when you walk away no clue what to do yet on that
can it be gotten from a fresh load-in?
I don't see why not its only on the way there and back
I'm on a fresh load-in rn and the first symbol is not there. Maybe you have to clear the encounter within the same instance and then do it on the way back?
I love raidsecrerts
I got all 3 secret chests last night. There's one in each traversal section after you beat the boss when on your way back to the beginning section. The spinning orb has 4 Nine symbols on it. Those are the 4 you have to find. They will stay lit when you walk away from them. If the symbol does NOT stay lit, then it's not 1 of the 4 you need. Once you light up all 4, the chest will spawn inside the orb.
And no, you cannot load a final boss checkpoint and go get them all. It has to be after actually beating each boss.
how hard is it to unlock the hidden aspects? bc I am a big hades fan and even after finishing the first game it took me a long time to gat each hidden aspect and I still dont have the bow and the fists.
now I am pretty deep into hades 2 early access and I wonder how many hours and random voice lines would it take to get a few hidden aspects? considering that I have no missions or major story lines going in the moment. could someone help me out? how often did you get hidden aspects?
also I have to say that hades is my favorite game and I think that hades two is a worthy succesor. supergiant games did an amazing work here and this update looks great, cant wait for the full game to drop!
The hard part is just the patience of it.
Like despite the fact that Moros literally hangs out at the camp, Supay was the second to last hidden aspect for me to get.
I'm pretty sure the only requirement is having all the weapons, but then again I already had all the other aspects which X amount of aspects may be a requirement. And unlike Hades 1 there's no specific things. In that, you had to unlock Guan Yu first and then talk to the specific phrase giver with the associated weapon equipped.
I mean, I unlocked the first hidden aspect in my first run after the update. One NPC just dropped the info. So I think its much easier compared to Hades 1.
its probably because you completed all avilable dialogues until the new update
Huh ok great Thanks
Any info for the dagger?
>!I got axe's from charon!<
>!Circe for the staff!<
>!Medea for the skull!<
>!Hecate for torch!<
>!in general, each weapon has only one aspect that’s a character you know in the game other than Mel. That character will give you the waking-phrase for the weapon. In the case of the daggers, it’s Artemis.!<
>!Artemis!<
Lol just got the sister blade's hidden aspect, nave mind Lol this update is amazing
Well it all depends on how far you are into the game.
We do not know what the specific requirements are for the game to start offering the awakening phrases.
From what I understand people are getting the hidden weapons in a random order so unlike the first game I don’t think you have to unlock one specific hidden weapon first.
Based on some of the first games requirements.
#WARNING THE FOLLOWING IS PURE SPECULATION
I’d assume that you need to unlock around 5 total aspect, the first 3 aspects of each weapon to get that weapons or at the very least the weapon of the NPC that gives you the awaking phrase.
You’ll also probably need to have put at least 5 Nightmare into any given weapon to unlock the hidden one.
And then I assume based on H1 prob lay some smaller stuff like getting the fated list, a few basic and maybe even intermediate cauldron incantations. Maybe you need a familiar or two.
Could need to have at least beaten Chronos and maybe even Typhon at least once.
See there is just so much we do not know.
It will take time to get specifics.
But as long as you are far enough alone in the game you should be getting the hidden aspects quite fast.
You do not even need to be running the weapon/aspect when they give you the phrase.
I was unlocking a new hidden weapon each run.
Just play and they should fall into your lap.
Good luck, have fun and May Moonlight guide you.
When Chronos drags us to Asphodel, The timer should be paused considering how much time it wastes. Agree or Disagree?
It... Barely wastes any time? You have to stand in the circle and the percent goes up extremely fast, so it should honestly take you less time than an ordinary Oceanus room.
If going for speed, you can just stand outside the circle once activated, and it'll end even faster. You won't get the chamber reward, but it is faster.
Wait, the room just ends if you leave the circle for long enough?
