TL;DR
Elizabeth as a Secret Boss
In "Persona 3: Reload," Elizabeth can be fought as a secret boss. To access this battle, players must complete numerous requests from Elizabeth, including specific ones like the Monad and Reaper quests [1:1]. Unlike the original game, you don't need to wait for New Game Plus; it's available in your first playthrough
[1:1]. The fight against Elizabeth is notably difficult, with strict rules that, if broken, result in an immediate loss
[1:1].
Preparation for Secret Boss Battles
When preparing for secret bosses, it's crucial to have a strategy and well-prepared personas. For example, having personas immune to death/holy attacks is vital [5:2]. Additionally, using Fuuka's scan during phase changes in battles helps avoid ineffective attacks
[5:2]. Some players suggest using fusion spells like Armageddon strategically during long fights
[5:3].
Importance of Secret Bosses
Secret bosses often provide unique rewards and challenges. In some games, defeating them might grant valuable items or equipment [2:1]. However, missing these bosses doesn't necessarily ruin the game experience, though it might mean missing out on certain benefits
[2:1].
Accessing Other Secret Bosses
To access other secret bosses, such as those in chapters 3 and 4, players typically need to achieve high ranks in certain activities or complete specific puzzles [4:1]. Achieving an S rank in both rounds and entering the Star Dressing Room are common requirements
[4:1]. Some bosses require no-hit strategies or special items to defeat
[4:6].
Additional Tips
For those seeking to maximize their experience, waiting until you're ready to engage with the story again can enhance enjoyment [3:2]. Building powerful personas and ensuring your party is adequately leveled are essential steps in preparation
[5:2].
So i heard you can fight elizabeth but dont want to look it up cuz spoilers. How do i fight her? Is it a NG+ thing? Or what?
Complete a lot of her requests (like 90 or so), [spoilers about some required quests] >!including the Monad and the Reaper ones, bring her to your room!<, and she will give you a last request. In the original it was NG+ exclusive, but in Reload it is available from the first playthrough.
Soft spoilers about how difficult she is, without clues or guides about how to beat her:
!Also, if it's your first time fighting a Velvet Room attendant, keep in mind the fight has a lot of rules you can't break or you'll be one shotted. And if it isn't your first time fighting an attendant but it is your first against Elizabeth, you shoul know she is way harder than the others!<
Yeah I enjoyed the reaper fight way more, tough but still following the rules of the game.
Hi, I have a question about the final bosses. How important will they be?
My situation is this: I'm currently playing through Chapter 3 for the first time, and so far, I beated both Jevil and Spamton NEO, and so far, finding these bosses have been going smoothly enough for me to do it first during my first and only save file.
But, now, I didn't know I needed Rank-S during first round of Tenna's TV Show to gain access to the secret boss, and I really did poorly on the cooking minigame (I got a total of Rank-B), and, without knowing, I continued to round 2, where I got Rank-S and realised my error.
So I want to ask, is it worth it to restart all of the Chapter 3 for this? I'm near the battle against Tenna, so I would have to almost play through the chapter again. I'm mainly scared of needing the Shadow Crystals in the future and not having them all.
Thanks in advance to any suggestion!
If you had to miss a secret boss, I think this one hurts the most possibly considering it gives a very useful equip(Edit: Not the Shadow Crystal, though, even if it would help a lot)+helps in something else. Still, I don't think it's going to like ruin your game. Some might advocate missing this one in particular too. Honestly I think more people will know what happens with all the Shadow Crystals than not given how "secret" these bosses actually are lol. I think I missed an Egg all the way back in Chapter 1 and there's no way I'm going back for that. Shadow Crystals are probably more important but if you care about the secret stuff I don't think missing either would give peace of mind.
I will say that restarting at this point isn't too bad though. It's what I did and I mostly sped through it since most of it is just the dialogue. If I recall there's somewhere in the bottom of the Green Room that lets you buy S rank for 1500 points, which you can grind through Susie's habit of picking up coins in the first board if nothing else. It was easier to get S rank the second time around though.
Oh, I did not take into account the object the boss would give me, and thats a really good point. Because this Dark World has felt super quick to me, I suppose restartting would give it more time for me to reach.
I'll take your suggestions into account, thanks a lot!
This should tell you everything.
Oh, so the crystals would not be needed? Honestly, that's almost a relieve, as far as I know, the secret boss doesn't appeal me that much this chapter, at least not like Spamton or Jevil.
If I understood correctly your response, then I think I won't be resetting the Chapter, and maybe doing the battle in a future.
Again, if I'm not wrong and I understood what the picture means, thank you so much for your comment!
Ah, you understood perfectly well.
You should definitely do it in a replay. You can actually pay the Pippins at the bottom of the Green Room a few Points to get to the S-Rank Room without achieving S-Rank. But it works only once.
One sentence of ambiguous dialogue does not justify skipping an entire section of the game that could be important. I thought people were going to stop assuming they know exactly how the story is going to play out using circumstantial evidence after Chapters 3 and 4.
It is a FACT that the Shadow Crystals do not change the ending. That is what I am saying here. The ending will never, EVER be different. Toby is not talking about the ending of each and every Chapter or means the ending in a traditional sense, but the literal ending of the very very ending of DELTARUNE, which will be the same.
There is far more important stuff than reaching the end either way - everything will change. Except the ending.
I did, worth it.
So I've just finished royal and I do want to do a Ng+ mainly so that I can fuse rly good personas, max confidants, complete compedium and, most importantly, fight the secret bosses.
However, I don't rly want to sit through the whole story again and would probably ffw through most of it.
So I was wondering how many hours it would take to reach the point where I can fight the secret bosses so I can get on with it.
Or would it just be better to wait a few months instead so that I actually want to experience the story again instead of rushing through it like I would now?
Take it from me, you'll at least want to take some time over the course of the game to build specific and powerful personas. The secret third semester boss on mercliess is no joke, you think you'd be prepared but you're not.
But in terms of just skipping all the story and myriad truthing the palaces until third semester you're probably looking at around 10-15 hours.
I did a run to get all the Thieves' Den achievements after waiting a few months, and after I did 3 runs of Persona 3 Reload. It was nice to take my time experience the story again.
I waited until I was ready to explore >!Mementos Depths!< and had my Personas all at level 99. Had a few close calls. Honestly wished the final boss was as difficult as the twins were.
If you rush it, you'll regret it. And not even your DLC Personas will be able to save you.
I can attest to that
I wanna fight Caroline and Justine before >!Akechi leaves!< but idk if my party is ready for it at that point
Caroline/Justine are available as soon as you have access to Mementos.
Lavenza is only available in the third semester.
I really wanna know how I’ll be able to fight the secret bosses of the chapters without seeing a giant thumbnail of the boss in its entirety. I dunno if there even IS a secret boss mainly cause I have not played through the chapters yet, but if there is a secret boss please let me know how to access them. Please try not to spoil more then necessary 🙏🙏🙏
Yes there are secret bosses but very few has managed to find them as far as i can see
I got the ice key but idk what to do now
I’m doing it right now, the only thing you need to know for chapter 3 is that you need to get an S rank. Of what I won’t tell you.
two actually
Okay, so, TECHNICALLYYYYYY, the Knight is the secret boss. She does not have the freedom motif, however, she does have a shadow crystal if you beat her. It is IMPOSSIBLE to beat her, unless you get the shadow mantle, and even THEN, your party members die in TWO HITS, and CANNOT be upped (from what i saw)
So you need to NO HIT the Knight to get her crystal.
You can revive herb them. Put the mantle on Susie, and have her rude buster. Defend on the other two, or have them attack too if you're feeling lucky.
How do you unlock the knight fight??
It's the final fight, you need the shadow mantle usually to successfully beat it, but that would trigger snowgrave, so you actually need to no hit it.
|Get s rank in both games|
Can i still do it it if i get a lower rank in the first game like is there a backup path
Unfortunately from what I've been told no :/
Does it still count if I get them later in A Rank door?
Get at least an S rank on both rounds, and enter the Star Dressing Room. Once you complete these puzzles, you don’t need to do anything else. You will encounter the secret boss naturally.
it’s october 10 in my playthrough (wanna prepare early) and i’m wondering what party i should use and also easy personas to fuse, and anything else. thanks in advance:D
First get your team to the Mid 70s, that should be enough. Maybe 80.
Now i recomend your team, I recomend A healer/suporter, a phys attacker and a magic attacker (Personaly i used junpei, yukari and aigis).
Next is the MC, Fuse the highest level personas available and make extra sure thry are imune to death/holy. You DO NOT want to be insta killed mid battle.
As for the battle itself, Use fuukas scan every single time he changes phase, this is the most important part. Because if you dont, your party members might just spamm attacks nyx nulls
Avoid using debuffs. Nyx gets 2 turns and that somehow makes the debuffs last shorter, focus on purely buffs instead.
I dont recomend using Armageddon, it just really destroys the challange, and fun, of this battle.
Get a back up persona with mediarahan/salvation if something goes horribly wrong. Tetrakarn and makarakarn help too
Final boss can be cheesed if you have the fusion spell Armageddon and wait to deploy it at the opportune time.
I’m not recommending you do this, I am letting you know that if you’re about to lose a 40+ minute boss fight you might be glad to be able to pull the ripcord.
isn’t it hard to get though?
Yes. To get Helel you need to max Star (not difficult) but also be at level 88. Satan, the other component, is available at level 79. If your MC is at 88, you’re probably prepared for the finale anyway.
In my first playthrough I was at 91 or 92 when I won, which is ample cushion.
just use matarukaja and a strong persona
Go to the bathroom before the boss, it’s a long one
yeah i’ve heard there are 13 phases…
so excited 😅
Make sure that everyone has Null Charm, either as a Persona skill or from accessory (Narcissus' Heart item). It would also be good to cover the weaknesses of your teammates by giving them weapons with appropriate resistances (obtained by fusion in antique shop). Apart from that, nothing in particular.
I beat the full game and beat the chapter 4 secret boss. I think 3s may have to do with getting an S rank on both boards but I'm not sure
Chapter 3 secret boss in a room where you need to get S rank, if you didn’t, you can go down the green room, and find someone who can sell you the s rank.
To get the shadow crystal, you need to defeat the knight
Can this be done from the last checkpoint?
Nope.
No, you need to go into the s room every time you go to the green room (so 3 times in total) to get the secret boss
Do I really have to start over again from beginning and S-rank both game boards or is there a more quicker and easier way? Like is there a way I can go back to redo it?
Apparently you can't re do them after a certain point, but on the A rank room you can re do the mini games, maybe that counts for it, but you will probably have to start over, take the chance to make some copies of the save file so you can go back at any moment
Redoing them in the A room doesn't count unfortunately
Sad, then what matters is to have copies of the save file and remembering to reload
There's a Pippins at the bottom of the greenroom who you can pay 1500 points to fudge your score to an S-rank. But that's only for the board immediately previous - if you moved on to board 2 without S ranking board 1or moved onto board 3 without S ranking board 2 then yes you have to restart the chapter
In my opinion, the secret boss is still a Knight, because it can be passed without >!the shadow mantle!<. And the shadow crystal will also fall from the Knight.
im replaying chapter 2 rn and i havent touched chapters 3 and 4 yet. i wanna fight the secret bosses on my first go but i dont wanna look up a tutorial cause it would kinda screw with the experience of finding shit out on my own.
Both are permanently missable if you aren't careful. Chapter 4 is a lot more obvious, but Chapter 3 actually misleads you into thinking the requirement for the Secret Boss is just for fun
I will say, playing blind for both, I completely missed the secret boss of chapter 3 but I collided head first into the secret boss of chapter 4.
If you’re the type of player who explores everything, I think you could find both bosses without issue, with one caveat - save “before each board” in chapter 3 and replay “the board” if you “don’t get S, T, or Z rank.” I think these will make sense as you eventually play chapter 3 without getting too spoiler-y.
Chapter 3's is highly recommended to ignore the first time and get it on a second playthrough. It should be fairly clear how to find it with knowledge from the first playthrough (and is actually slightly easier to do if you have a chapter completion already). (If you really don't want to replay it (even though it's like 30 minutes of stuff that's probably actually going to be a pure replay), then >!get an S-rank on the first Board!<. If you don't know what that means, you will know what it means before the first save point that would lock you out of doing such a thing.)
Chapter 4's is obvious and won't be missed as long as you don't go the way that is obviously forward progress.
May I ask why it's recommended to ignore the first time around? I stumbled into it on my first playthrough and didn't feel any problems.
Main thing is that if you did miss it, it's not worth going back to do it until after you're done IMO. If you actually pulled it off (which I didn't, >!bombed cooking!<), then it's a lot more reasonable to go do it... but even when I did >!get S-rank on board 2, I didn't play the backstage game because I thought I'd be able to return later!<. Knowing the basic structure of the chapter is the sort of thing you only get from having actually played through it and when the points of no return are as non-obvious as they are I can only assume they want you to just come back later.
There's also details like how >!Knight only gives the respawn prompt after you've completed the chapter!<, which clues you in to the fight but only on your second playthrough.
Chapter 4s is very heavily signposted. As long as you’re paying attention you won’t miss it. Chapter 3, on the other hand…
Chapter 3: once you get to >!the green room!< for the first time, you should get an idea of what you have to do to get to the secret boss. Just don't spend all your points until you've fully explored the area, and know that you have to do the thing multiple times. Be smart with your saves, since if you mess up in some places the only way to try again is to revert to an earlier save.
Chapter 4: Backtrack, read every sign, and you should be able to find it.
I've been stuck on this all day, I smashed through P1 and P2 this morning and now its night and still haven't beaten P3. I haven't even made it to sly once, on all the Hard bosses I can make it through easily like GPZ, but for people like Uumu, God Tamer & Hornet i just can't do it.
I have Strength, Quick Slash, Sharp Shadow, Mark of Pride.
Practice on the bosses you struggle with individually or just keep replaying pantheon 3 like a maniac till you get it
I'm already halfway to becoming a maniac, I can't imagine what's gonna happen to me in P5.
Pantheon 5 is actually terrible, I still haven’t beat it yet although I’ve came very close
I suggest replacing sharp shadow with heart or spell twister. For uumuu you have to have a lot of patience and move around the arena, especially on the top part of it then strike when needed, for god tamer always focus on the beast, I find it easier to pogo it and wall jump or stale in the air when they turn into a ball, hornet is probably the hardest one since it's right before the last boss, one tip I have is to stay as low on the ground as you can and let her jump over you when needed or just dash out of the way, for the things she puts on the arena, you can hit them with the nail to make them disappear and give yourself more space to dodge. Good luck on sly
Thanks! I've been practicing Uumu in the Hall of Gods, for God Tamer I try to do that but I'm destined to always lose a few hearts and sometimes it's just one too many, ill practice that one too. And yeah, Hornet is hard as balls and I can't find her in the hall of gods to practice her.
Smack the stick on the Hornet Statue.
Equip spell related charms such as shaman stone and spell twister and practice the bosses in hall of gods.
for god tamer just know that when he starts rolling attack and hits the wall he’s gonna go to your last known location. meaning the best strategy is to stay in a safe ish place (middle of arena since it’ll give you most moment) until he bounces on the wall then immediately run left or right (whichever side the tamer isn’t) and u can easily hit him 3/4 times. then for the spit attack, downward dark dive spell and you’ll avoid all the projectiles and do damage! for UMMU make sure you dreamnail twice at the beginning of the fight and then conserve soul to shoot shade soul at the jellyfish to UMMUs direction from far away (this is super low risk and makes sure you don’t get exploded hit) good luck!!! P3 was super hard for me i just beat it like a couple days ago haha
I'm just playing charter 3, and I wanted to know if the secret boss is in any way related to get an S rank in a main game. Cause i don't want to grind without a reason, but I don't want to miss it.
Yes it is. It is not mandatory to get the shadow crystal, but it makes getting it easier.
The other option is to buy the S tier from the little guy, or are you talking about something else?
I’m talking about something else, but I won’t spoil ofc. You can buy it if you have the points tho, there’s no issue with that.
Basically S-rank isn’t mandatory for the secret-boss-shadow-crystal stuff, but it does make it a lot easier.
Although you can also get it if you get exactly 0 points
Yes
