Hidden Locations in Stardew Valley

Hidden Passages on Farms

In Stardew Valley, certain farm maps contain hidden passages that players may not immediately notice. For example, on the Four Corners farm, there is a passage between the two bottom quadrants, obscured by bushes [1:3]. The Forest Farm has a path to Grandpa's shrine and another vertical path between grassy areas [1:3]. On the Beach Farm, there's a secret fishing spot accessible through a hidden path in the bottom left [1:3]. These features are fixed and do not randomize between games.

Golden Walnuts and Fishing Spots

Some hidden areas in Stardew Valley serve specific purposes, such as containing golden walnuts or offering unique fishing opportunities. Players have reported finding golden walnuts in secluded spots [2:1], and some locations allow for special fishing experiences when casting a line from specific points [2:2].

Potential Secret Locations

Players often speculate about potential secret locations within the game. For instance, one player suggested that an area behind the shop in the desert could be a perfect spot for a new secret cave [3]. While this particular location may not currently hold any secrets, it highlights the game's potential for expansion and exploration.

Junimo Hide-and-Seek Challenges

The community sometimes creates challenges involving hidden Junimos, which are small forest spirits in the game. One such challenge tasked players with finding 10 hidden Junimos around a farm, with hints provided for those who struggled to find them all [4:1][4:2]. These challenges add an extra layer of fun and engagement for players looking to explore every nook and cranny.

Secret Passageways

There are also secret passageways that lead to rewards, such as the one where players can find a golden pumpkin, considered a universal love gift in the game [5:2]. Discovering these passages can be surprising even for long-time players, adding to the charm and mystery of Stardew Valley [5:3].

These hidden elements contribute to the rich, exploratory experience of Stardew Valley, encouraging players to look beyond the obvious and discover the many secrets the game has to offer.

Hidden passages?

ORIGINAL POST

I’m fairly new to the game. Only been playing for a couple weeks, but I’m in my fourth year. On school break, so I had a lot of time. However! I keep seeing people mention hidden passages on their farms. I’m currently doing the four corners farm.. but I haven’t really come across any hidden passages? Am I missing something? Or is it just randomized? Or do I have to have the forest farm or a different one that I’ve seen mentioned? Thanks! :)

I know there's a way to go horizontally between the 2 bottom quadrants across the path near the southern exit that a lot of people don't find right away. It's kind of covered up by some bushes.

The only other ones I can think of off the top of my head are forest farm (path to grandpa's shrine and vertical path between the 2 grassy areas on the left) and beach farm (path down to the secret fishing spot in the bottom left). They're all set, btw, no randomization of the fixed features, just the spawning of debris etc.

Yeah I actually just found the one between the two quadrants yesterday! Something always looked weird about it but I could never figure it out until I found out about these hidden passages. Then I saw someone with a hidden lake! Seems there’s plenty of hidden things that people are still finding out years later. It’s so interesting!

An entire hidden lake on the farm sounds maybe modded. I think the immersive farm map has something like that?

Glad you got to find it out on your own, it's really fun to make new discoveries :) I usually read about it on the wiki first lol. Yeah, there's lots of things that are left for the player to randomly find out for fun!

You should walk all the way to the left and cast a line all the way out. See what you find :)

I’ve been playing Stardew for a long time and noticed this area behind the shop, at first I really thought I unlocked something new. It seems like the perfect spot to add some secret cave or something

both is in the town, you have to get to the spots that are highlighted by green on the notes, then for the 1st one for example, go all the way to the right until you hit something thenall the way up till you hit something etc.

auji_meowmeow · OP · 3 years ago

You need to start in the spot they are referring to, them walk as far as you can in the direction of the area until something gets in your way, then do the same for the other arrow. The answer to where the puzzles lead to are: >!The truck next to Jojamart, and behind Lewis's house!<

The blue house is actually referring to 1 Willow Lane, which is Jodi, Kent, Sam, and Vincent's house.

The second one is the middle of town square.

Idk how many others have spotted this, but if you use the garage to get behind the secret garden, there is actually a second level for the opposite side. Could be situationally useful

TheMancersDilema · 4 months ago

You can access it from the inside as well, just need to turn all the arrows around to face the opposite direction (just like how you revealed it the first time).

burnoutbabe1973 · 4 months ago

You do need another item to do that -but at least it’s a permanent addition when done.
