Planning a bachelor party that stands out and doesn't rely on traditional elements like strippers or excessive drinking can be a rewarding challenge. Here are some unique ideas gathered from various discussions:
Outdoor Adventures
Many people suggest incorporating outdoor activities, which can provide both excitement and bonding experiences. Options include paintball, white water rafting, wilderness trips, or even renting a cabin for a weekend getaway in nature [4:3]
[4:4]
[4:9]. These activities allow the group to enjoy fresh air and camaraderie while engaging in fun challenges.
Games and Competitions
For those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition, consider organizing a day filled with games such as go-karting, axe throwing, or even a Halo 2 LAN party [2:4]
[3:2]
[5:2]. These activities can be tailored to the groom's interests and provide plenty of laughs and memorable moments.
Themed Parties and Experiences
Hosting a themed event can add a unique twist to the celebration. Ideas include a video game or pinball bar night, renting out a movie theater for gaming on the big screen, or organizing a "Drunk Mario Kart" tournament where players must pull over to drink [1:2]
[1:7]
[1:5].
Creative Workshops and Classes
Engaging in a creative activity can also be a hit. Consider booking a group class such as making your own cologne, beekeeping, or even a cooking class [3:2]. These activities not only provide a fun experience but also leave participants with a tangible memento of the day.
Relaxed Gatherings
Sometimes, a simple gathering with good food and company is all that's needed. A BBQ, poker night, or just hanging out at a favorite spot can be just as enjoyable [1:1]
[3:1]. For a more laid-back vibe, consider spending time at a remote cabin, enjoying nature, and catching up with friends
[4:2].
These ideas highlight the importance of tailoring the bachelor party to the groom's preferences and ensuring that everyone has a great time without relying on traditional bachelor party tropes.
There are lots of fun video game and pinball bars that would make for a fun boys night. Paintball, go karting, casinos, VR bars are all things I've seen guys do for bachelor parties.
A Barcade is a great idea, thanks for the suggestion!
Drunk Mario Kart. You race but cannot drive drunk. You need to pull over while drinking.
To win you have to finish the race and have an empty glass.
Yes! I’m a woman and would love something like this, but don’t know enough female nerds for a bachelorette version lol
Taking this to the next level, renting out a movie theater, most have the ability to play auxillary video through the DCC digital projectors. Fun AF when the characters are bigger than you!
I absolutely love this idea!
Well if you still want to do something and all the guys like beer maybe a brewery tour my other suggestion is going to a casino or you could go to a club and party if that’s you scene
Orgy (Im being serious).
Yeeeaaaaahhhh I don’t think the bride would appreciate that....
Idk about unique but i know some guys who have had BBQs,poker games, rented a boat on the lake, raced dirt bikes and UTVs, some stuff like that.
Hey guys. I'm planning a bachelor's and wanted to know if you guys have any good challenge/ game suggestions that stuck from previous ones you have been involved in. Most suggestions I see online are pretty boring.
To be clear, I'm keen to have activities that don't involve strippers or (overly excessive) drinking, but rather want to incorporate embarrassing dares or challenges throughout the day.
What I currently have planned :
Let me know what you guy's think. Would be super grateful for some ideas.
Thanks.
You have a few great ideas but I’d ask the bachelor to give you 2 or 3 ideas to see what he would like. I would usually suggest a good restaurant, but a barbecue on the farm sounds great. If you have any plans on strippers, let me know. I am in the industry and I will give you the best tips and advice to keep you from getting ripped off.
Paintball or clay/skeet shooting.
Drunken ax throwing might be a thing where you are
Or dodgeball if you have enough people.
Contrary to how it sounds, axes and alcohol are a great combo lol
It’s an absolute hoot, and OP said he wanted competition
Midget strippers… you’re welcome! 😂
Best idea I’ve ever heard…
Do whatever fun guy stuff you want during the day but at night, invite your fiancé and her friends and have a regular party. Then you (and probably others with partners) can get laid at the end of the night.
If only I were single lol
Hello all, I am the best man and the groom and his three brothers do not drink. The groom does not want to gamble, bar hop, play golf, or go out on the water. Does anyone have any suggestions about what a non alcohol centered bachelor party would be like? I would appreciate any advice or ideas!
My brother doesn’t drink either and him and his friends spent 3 days doing a mix of: Board games/DND axe throwing Bbq Karaoke
Things I’ve done or my friends have done: Make your own cologne Geocaching Tubing Go Kart/K1/real race car rental on the track Archery Shooting range Empire strips back Sumo wrestling show and sushi Ride and shoot in a tank Kayak with manatees Water park Skydiving ir paragliding as a group (or ifly) Beekeeping class
I mean the sky is your limit
My fiance wanted to go axe throwing followed by an escape room so that's what they're doing, followed by dinner. It's a one day stag party rather than a weekend event.
What does the groom do for fun any other time? For his birthdays, on Memorial Day, in his free time?
What activities does he enjoy? Even just hanging out over burgers is a common party option. There is no rule that it has to be a weekend trip or an elaborate outing.
The vast majority of the bachelor parties I've enjoyed that weren't the two you mentioned were the boys all just getting a cabin somewhere, being in nature chopping wood and making a bonfire and grilling meat and enjoying the seclusion from the outside world
Was just about to answer this. I am not a strip club gambling type of fella. I have nothing against those activities, just not my cup of tea. Instead, we spent our money on good food and booze, and went up to a remote cabin. We spent alot of time just enjoying fresh air and the quiet. The stars, peace, good food, and of course being surrounde dby moy closest friends, was like a reset button on the soul. My wife also prepared alot of the food for us before hand, which made it even more special. It was one of the best times of my life.
>My wife also prepared alot of the food for us before hand, which made it even more special.
Oh yeah, that's the beauty of it too is that cabin adventures can scale to what level of planning people want to do beforehand. You can treat it proper and already go and have some things marinating and all set up to just pop on the grill or eat, or just go and land somewhere, take a van from the airport and hit up the nearest grocery store and stock up for an extended weekend
Wilderness trips. White water rafting. Any kind of food festival. There's a craft beer thing here where you do the entire tour in kayaks. One of those places where you pay to break stuff. Sporting events (or themed events toward their hobbies). Paint ball.
Seconding white water rafting. It's a ton of fun
Paintball. Dave and busters. Comedy show. See a band/show.
I had a friend who ran a paint ball feild.Stopped by when he had a Batchelor party. It looked like a blast.
And the groom gets dressed up in a bunny suit instead of overalls. Last game is: everybody goes after the bunny.
Also you can dress up the bachelor in a silly costume, send him out in the woods and hunt him. That's really fun!
Not related to paintball but we made one bachelor wear an rainbow bride to be sash, cartoon hands, beer helmet, and put a really tall lift in one shoe on the day we went bar hoping. It was pretty fun/ridiculous.
Can confirm my buddy was getting married and we all had a paintball session, it was incredibly fun. The only problem was that our visors kept fogging up like really badly :D
Can I go to your bachelor party?
Halo 2 local lan party.
Hookers and blow- keep with tradition.
Trap shooting
Deep sea fishing
Golf and dinner
Hey everyone! I’ll try to keep this short. I’m a groomsman in a friend’s wedding, and the date is fast approaching (8/1). The groom (let’s call him Lando) a great guy and I want him to have a really special wedding. His bride-to be is my wife’s best friend (my wife is also her Maid of Honor), so we’ve spent a lot of time with them over the last few years.
The wedding party itself though, has had its fair share of drama. Lando’s brother is a slacker. He was originally the best man but just stepped down because “he just doesn’t have the time” (not true, he’s just a loser). And the replacement best man (who we’ll call Han) is one of his oldest friends, and is a great choice for the role. But Han’s father just passed away this week, and it’s been a devastating loss for him. So mentally, Han is just not able to come up with ideas or plan the way he otherwise would be. I’ve probably known Lando the least time of all his groomsmen, but as I’ve been to a few weddings in my day, it’s now falling to me to make this great.
Only issue, he’s a really laid-back guy, so it’s reeeeally hard to tell what he likes and what he’d want to do for a bachelor party. Because he’s on the passive side, he’s likely to say yes to nearly anything (because that’s what he thinks others want). I want to help find bachelor party ideas that he would genuinely enjoy and remember.
He’s in his 40s, loves Star Wars and Marvel and tabletop gaming and is also a history nerd. What do we do to make his bachelor party special? I’ll take any ideas in the world. We live in Western MA. So CT, RI, VT and MA locations are all on the table with enough planning time. What would any of you guys want? What are some fun and memorable ideas?
If it helps, we KNOW he doesn’t want anything that involves strippers or super loud/aggressively crowded places.
So I recently just attended a bachelor party that has a similar groom. All he wanted was to make it affordable for everyone and have everyone there hanging out.
We live in Chicago, so we rented a cabin in Michigan that had a crazy setup with arcade games, pool table, and garage area that we turned into a TV/Gaming room. We also had bags and Kan Jam. Everyone pitched in for booze and food and we just grilled, drank, and smoked all weekend. We also went to the local casino and did group slot machine bets, group sports bets, and ran a black jack table together.
Once we left he literally told every single one of us that it was the best time he had because everyone was just so pumped to hang out.
I dig it.
A laid back weekend like this is the jam for laid-back dudes. Might also be refreshing for "Han" and the slacker won't feel outdone.
You might look around for an outdoor paint ball or laser tag setup nearby. Also, there are places like Game Works or Dave & Buster's which have a slew of video games y'all can drop into.
Don't know if he'd be into it or if one's available, but going to horse racing and laying a few reasonable bets on the ponies can be a relaxed and laid-back afternoon. A lot of tracks have a "pavilion area with a view of the track where you can bring in coolers and have food and drinks self-provided. Did this for a buddy's Bachelor party and then went video gaming after and he loved it.
I’m (30) getting married in August bachelor party in July. After some debate we decided we’re doing a bachelor party “staycation.” I will say it was my idea so if Lando wants to go away for sure hook him up.
Friday and Sunday are just the groomsmen, nice dinner, couple local bars, easy night, then we golf Sunday before people leave. So you guys can still have that close bonding time that’s emblematic of a bachelor party.
The big draw is Saturday being “tournament day.” We’re inviting all the guys going to the wedding over to my house and people can sign up to participate in all kinds of thing NCAA25, cornhole, pong, etc. If you guys want to go somewhere maybe see about like renting a brewery or something and getting games on every table so people can come play, hangout, all that. It’s a great way for Lando to have a meaningful moment with everyone too.
Wild crazy not sure if it works like this but see about renting out maybe a drive in movie or something and playing his favorite Star Wars or Marvel movie.
There's a video game bar near me, maybe it's a thing where you guys are? We also have lasertron, which is for people all ages, but has a bar, these might be fun things for you to do
So if he likes Star Wars, get an Airbnb and rent out a theater nearby and play his favorite Star Wars movie on the big screen. Then go back and play tabletop games
This is a great idea. Theaters are surprisingly inexpensive to rent.
The full on balls out version? Go to San Diego for Comicon.
So I’m not really big on bar hopping, or the stereotypical hen party or even hen weekend things.
I’d love some ideas of what I can do that is different and still a fun day out for everyone.
I’ve been looking online and not to far away from me is a “knight for a day” experience, you get to try jousting, archery, and sword fighting. there’s a hog roast and ale. It’s a full day experience finishing at about 4.30. I’m really into castles and that period of history so I think this would be an awesome activity. The problem is I don’t think 2 of my 3 bridesmaids would get behind it. So I’m looking for other ideas but if a similar vein.
The knight for a day sounds dope! I’m doing a dinner at a seafood restaurant famous Dungeness crab, a picnic at an oyster farm where we can bring our own food/wine and buy oysters to grill/shuck, and then go to a korean day spa. I think if there’s unique things around you that you’ve wanted to try, it’s a good excuse to do it!
Some bachelorette ideas:
Brunch
Afternoon tea
Cooking class
Ceramics painting
Escape room
Dish breaking
Axe throwing
Laser tag
Paintball
History tour at local museum
Food tour
Walking or biking tour of your city
Hiking and a picnic
Thank you
We're doing a painting with wine, escape room, karaoke and a sleep over
This sounds like such a fun weekend. I’d be so on board with those activities!
We're planning the same thing, and honestly I couldn't be more excited!
That sounds lovely
Only 1 of the bachelorette parties I've been to was the stereotypical one. And we all agreed it was the least phone bc it seems so forced. Ive been to a spa weekend. Another was dinner and a concert. Another was a.girls weekend getaway. There are a lot more options than you realize.
I’m sure there are many more options than I realise That’s why I’m asking
For mine we are going to a horse ranch resort for the weekend. Horseback riding, bon fires, kayaking, s’mores, and air conditioned cabins :) we will hike and stuff then chill at night around the fire. We are excited!
That sounds lovely
Hello!
I'm looking for some fun things/events/activities to do in Cincinnati for my friend's bachelor party.
He doesnt drink much, and doesnt want to be at a bar unless something fun is happening.
We're going to "Game Show Battle Room" to play family feud and some other classic games, but it's only an hour.
Some other ideas are kings island or a murder mystery company that does interactive murder mysteries.
Do you have any other fun ideas that can include, but arent centered around drinking?
Thanks!
Full throttle go karts is pretty fun. Did that for a buddies bachelor party a couple years ago. Maybe that and a Reds game?
Agreed. I think they also offer axe throwing now as well
Activate Games might be right up your alley - https://playactivate.com/cincinnati
Other random option - Archery dodgeball basically - https://archery-arena.com/
Adding to the already good ideas shared... https://elkcreekhuntclub.com/ (skeet shooting course on golf carts)
Bike ride on the little Miami, stopping at trailhead or in Loveland
Kayaking (Loveland suggested for convenient meal after)
Shawnee park Hike and dinner at lost beverage co (outdoors)
Comedian at Commonwealth Sanctuary and dinner at any of the great places in Bellevue/Dayton (tuba Baking is the best)
Reds game, Pins Mechanical (it’s a bar but has old arcade games in the basement, duck pin bowling and pinball machines), Escape room, axe throwing, fowling warehouse
Go to a thrift store and everyone in the party has to find something that reminds them of the Bachelor. Then the bachelor has to guess who bought what.
And if you want to add drinking, you can do like whoevers he guesses correctly has to buy the next round
I like this. Maybe followed. Y wearing the costumes to a Drive in movie or maybe the sign museum
love this idea looks like both are showing lilo and stitch would be fun. Thrifting for
Anyone got an idea for a unique yet fun bachelor party that doesn’t involve girls or heaps amount of alcohol? Done golfing before so anything but this and firing range.
ATV. Bowling. Hiking. Camping. Freediving.
Pottery class!
Happy to help if you’re weighing options! We’ve seen silent discos work at everything from backyard BBQs to 5,000-person festivals.
cute bala fishing sa bantug lake ranch while ga pangape.
Airsoft game, shoot each other in a controlled environment! Loads of fun
unique bachelor party ideas
Here are some unique bachelor party ideas to consider:
Adventure Getaway: Plan an outdoor adventure like white-water rafting, zip-lining, or rock climbing. This is perfect for thrill-seekers and can create unforgettable memories.
Destination Experience: Consider a weekend trip to a unique destination, such as a vineyard for wine tasting, a brewery tour, or a beach resort for relaxation and fun.
Themed Escape Room: Organize a private escape room experience with a theme that resonates with the groom. This encourages teamwork and can be a fun challenge.
Cooking Class or Food Tour: Book a private cooking class or a food tour in your city. This can be a great way to bond while learning new culinary skills or tasting local cuisine.
Sports Event or Game Day: Attend a live sports event or organize a game day with friends. You can also rent a private suite for a more exclusive experience.
Camping or Glamping: Spend a weekend in nature, either camping or opting for a more luxurious glamping experience. This allows for relaxation and bonding around a campfire.
Private Yacht Charter: If you're near a body of water, consider renting a yacht for a day. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and having a party on the water.
Comedy or Improv Show: Book a night out at a comedy club or an improv show. Laughter is a great way to celebrate and enjoy each other's company.
Recommendation: Tailor the experience to the groom's interests and personality. If he loves adventure, opt for an outdoor activity; if he enjoys food, a culinary experience might be best. The key is to create a memorable experience that reflects his style and preferences.
