Overview of the Verizon Streaming Bundle
Verizon offers a streaming bundle that includes multiple services such as Netflix, Max (formerly HBO Max), Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ for $20 per month. This package is particularly appealing to those who don't mind ads, as it provides access to a wide range of content at a relatively low cost [1:1]. However, it's important to note that the deal has changed over time; previously, the same package was available without ads for the same price
[1:1].
User Experience and Satisfaction
Users have generally found the Verizon streaming bundle to be a good deal if they actively use the services included. It simplifies billing by consolidating payments into a single Verizon bill, which can be convenient for managing subscriptions [1:4]. However, some users have noted that the presence of ads on platforms like Hulu and Disney+ can be a downside, although there are options to upgrade to ad-free versions directly through the respective services
[1:2].
Streaming Quality and Premium Features
Verizon's premium streaming feature, which allowed for higher resolution streaming, has been grandfathered and is no longer available for new customers [3:3]. Existing users with this add-on have reported maintaining high download speeds for video streaming
[3:1]. The removal of this feature seems to be part of a strategy to encourage customers to switch to newer plans, such as the Ultimate Unlimited Plan, which offers different streaming capabilities
[3:3].
Plan Compatibility and Limitations
Not all Verizon unlimited plans support the premium streaming feature, with some users noting that certain plans, like "Go" and "Starter," do not include this option [2:1]. Additionally, the premium streaming add-on was only applicable to Verizon devices, excluding unlocked or ported devices
[3:7]. For those looking to bypass limitations, using a VPN has been suggested as a potential workaround
[2:6].
Considerations for Potential Subscribers
For those considering subscribing to Verizon's streaming services, it's crucial to evaluate how much you will actually use the included platforms. If you're not a frequent user, the bundle might not offer significant savings [1:2]. Additionally, keep in mind that while the bundle offers convenience, individual upgrades for ad-free experiences will incur additional costs
[1:2].
$20 for all five (Netflix+Max) (Disney+, Hulu&ESPN) do you like it? I don’t care about having ads. What don’t you not like.. give me all the deets
do you watch those streaming services? It’s a waste of money if you just buy it then don’t use them. To be honest, Hulu and maybe Disney+ have tons of ads and ESPN+ it’s just boring. You can upgrade to ad-free from Hulu directly and pay for the difference.
netflix and hbo max is short on ads but you can upgrade both to ad-free on top of the perk price. Every upgrade made would be added to the bill.
by all means it really depends on how much you watch those content on those platforms.
I would give credit to the Netflix and hbo max since Netflix doesn’t do bundles directly and it’s tax free.
Not much to it, it's a great deal if you use them. If you already have accounts with any of them, you keep all your profiles, it just pulls it into your Verizon bill and you don't have to worry about updating various payment methods every couple of years. Not really any downside.
It’s so weird because we used to have Disney+ & Hulu and there are some shows we can’t watch lol like I really want to watch The Bear and it wasn’t on our Hulu..
The bear is on Hulu. It’s there for me and I have the bundle from Verizon.
Weird, I haven't watched it yet but it's there for me. I don't know why it would matter but are you accessing Hulu through their app or through the Disney app?
Hi, check this webiste it has everything: https://streamr-see.web.app For adblocking use ublock origin lite or ublock origin. It will work without ads smoothly
It's a great way to advertise five streaming services for only $20 with ads now. Just a year ago, you could get the same deal for $20 without ads on Disney Plus plus other 4 streaming services. The great way to get most of Verizon $10 perks is not to have all of them in the same month but focus on streaming a couple services in a couple months, and then switch to others and only pay $10 per month in total perks.
Which unlimited plans support the premium streaming feature? I realize go and starter do not.
I’m on play more and can’t fin the option to add it in the app or the website. Probably not a noticeable difference between 720 and 1080 on a 6 inch screen so I don’t care. Not worth the 10 extra bucks imo. On wifi it will stream at whatever resolution it’s capable.
I was told you have to chat or call in for it to be added.
That could be true. Either way I’m fine with 720.
for streaming vpn, only loacal ip address not be detected . site here netflixvpn
Get a vpn and bypass it all.
Honestly the only app I see them holding this limit to is YouTube and videos on Tidal in my personal experience. Other than that, I’m able to stream past 720 on other apps, Disney+, Hulu and etc.
As of today, the premium add-on has been removed and can’t be added for those who have it. It’s been grandfathered. I just did a chat today, and I was told that when they try to add it. WTF is going on with Verizon now they are suggesting the ultimate plan 🤦♂️
Can you explain what premium add-on are you referring to for a work plan because I have the get more so the premium that you’re talking about is it the streaming part
There was a Premium Streaming add-on for $10 a month that gave access to 1080p and 4K streaming on a phone. I believe the maximum video throttle was 40 Mbps. This is something Verizon charged extra for while AT&T and T-Mobile offer it included in their higher plans even on LTE without any video resolution limit.
I have the get more was it included or did I miss out Verizon has been tripping Lately
I’m sure they ended the option, so customers will move to the new Ultimate Unlimited Plan to get 1080p on LTE. However, someone had posted you only get 8Mbps on the new plan for 1080p. The premium streaming add on offered 40Mbps.
They did the same thing a few years back, removing the $10 5G UW add on so customers would switch off old plans to get 5G UW.
pretty sure this is an addon for Verizon devices only, it is not available for unlocked, or ported over devices. had this discussion before, lol, make sure the device you have came directly from Verizon. - just a customer
Anyone have luck adding it being grandfathered?
Anyone able to add it directly in the app where it listed? Or thorough customer service phone/text?
Ty
I’ve had Premium Streaming for about 2 years on my Get More Plan and I have been making sure to check everything regularly since they did this big change to their offerings. So far, my account still lists Premium Streaming as an active add-on for my line. I am also still consistently getting around 40mbps download speeds for video streaming with 4G LTE and low-band 5G Nationwide like I always had. I hope they don’t take it from me. I would switch carriers over that specifically. Has anyone here experienced or witnessed Verizon forcefully removing Premium Streaming on a line since this big change of the plans?

Yup i do
Still available? Interested in Hulu no ads
Is this worth the extra $10? Those of you that have it, how do you like it?
Just use a VPN.
Does netflix, paramount plus, etc work through a VPN? I do currently have Windscribe and fastestVPN that I use.
Some services do block VPN access but generally speaking as long as the VPN server is US-based you'll be fine.
Edit: I was wrong.
Under federal regulations you can VPN to bypass the need for it.
The only use case is for streaming services that block VPN. For that narrow need, it works fine.
Verizon does do some illegal stuff like block non-VZW certified devices and many data devices from adding it. Nobody has paid the $540 to force the issue there with the FCC.
Can confirm, I have an Xperia 1 iii and I can't add the streaming add-on once I login into my account.
It disappears as an option.
Everything you said was on point...
Now that C-Band/5GUW is becoming more widely available, Premium streaming is not needed/useful in C-Band areas.
I find it useful. Besides for streaming in 1080 or higher, you can skip through a video/show/movie without having to wait ages for it to load. It may not be as useful now in UWB areas, but if you live in a mainly lte/5g nw area it helps.
Whether it’s worth it is determined by whether you’re willing and able to use a VPN instead.
A VPN circumvents Verizon’s video throttle. However, streaming services block a lot of VPNs and some Wi-Fi networks also block VPNs, most notably Apple Stores’ Wi-Fi. Also, VPNs can cause random glitches that wouldn’t otherwise happen, and they slow down your connection by adding at least one extra hop to everything you do online.
That said, VPNs usually cost considerably less than the $10/month Verizon charges for the Premium Streaming add-on.
Up to you.

Hello. How do we switch billing from our current streaming subscriptions to Verizon while keeping the ad-free and bundle options we want? Will specific services switches work the way we want?
For TL;DR, skip down to the numbered list below for service-specific questions.
We're on an old Verizon Wireless plan with six lines called "The new Verizon Plan Unlimited". We're considering updating to their new plan format (pretty much all of us would be on the "Unlimited Plus" plan) for the 5G access, slightly more Hotspot, etc. But in the end the switch would cost a little more each month.
To offset the price increase we might be able to do some of the streaming add-on options to save on things we already pay for. But I'm not sure it would actually work out.
We always go with no-ad versions and always use discounted bundles and yearly payment options when available. Here's what what we need to know about each possible switch to decide if it's worth the possible discounts and headaches...
I know that's a lot, but I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!!
You can definitely add +play for each line. So $60 would give you $90 of value per month.
My guess is you’d want to avoid buying annual subscriptions as the credits expire monthly. Unless you have enough subscriptions where one would always be renewing within a given month (keep in mind you’d need 12 subscriptions, each in their own month).
I’m attempting to migrate YTTV thru Verizon as that will chew up a lot of my +play (4 lines) and I have Max month to month but might try and do annual for that as my Amex has $25 off $99.
Just a heads up YouTube tv doesn’t qualify for +play credits
Ah that’s unfortunate.
You can upgrade Hulu to no ads.. you do it through the Hulu account after you get it activated to work with Verizon billing(I do this now, it's $5/m + tax).
Just an FYI, if you switch your billing to +play you have to cancel the accounts for each provider, and in the Paramount+ case actually let the billing period end before getting the new +play account.
You can get the +play perk for EACH line in your account:
"One +play Monthly Credit may be purchased for each line on a Welcome Unlimited, Unlimited Welcome or Unlimited Plus phone plan on a recurring monthly basis. +play Monthly Credit must be purchased by the Account Owner or an Account Manager. Billing begins upon purchase of the +play Monthly Credit and will auto-renew monthly until canceled by the Account Owner / Manager. Charges for the +play Monthly Credit will appear on the account’s Verizon Wireless bill.+play Monthly Credit is available in your +play account for one month from the date of purchase, after which the full or remaining unused portion of the +play Monthly Credit expires. On the perk enrollment date, Verizon will apply a $15 credit to the +play account for each +play Monthly Credit on its perk enrollment date. Each credit will be applied to the first/next subscription that comes due in the +play account, with any remaining balance applied toward each successively due subscription until no balance remains. Any unused portion of any credit will expire if not used within one month."
Here's how said credit's billing works on the +play end:
"On the perk enrollment date, we apply a $15 credit to your +play account for each +play Monthly Credit. After that, the credit is deposited to your account once a month. The monthly credit is automatically applied to the first available eligible charge that’s due in your +play account. No action on your part is needed. Any remaining balance is applied toward each successively due subscription until no balance remains. Or, if unused, expires at the end of the month."
I cannot find anything about if you an use it towards yearly subs.
I forgot:
"At this time, these monthly subscription services can’t be purchased with +play monthly credits: Apple One, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Discovery+, Disney+, Disney Bundle, Google Play Pass, Walmart+, Xbox All Access, YouTube TV."
You don’t have to cancel the subscriptions to switch to +play, I switched over and got my existing Netflix account over no issues
Some are easier than others.
So for the +play credits if you wanted it to cover the subscriptions on yearly you’d have to switch them to monthly I believe, but yea you can add the +play monthly credit to each line, I just do not believe it would stack the way you may be wanting them to. Best advice would be to go to your nearest store so they can pull up all the information and get answered sorted out for you
1: yes you can 2: they don’t 3: you can migrate existing accounts over so you don’t have to create new accounts 4: basically it gives you a pool of credit, IE you have $90 in credit, and lets say you add $100 worth of subscriptions, the last $10 you’d be paying would just be the last subscription you added, there’s no way to really have certain credits go towards certain subscriptions
I did look around for answers quite a lot before posting. I found answers to some of the other questions I had but not these. Thank you again.

Verizon Unlimited Plus streaming services
Key Considerations for Verizon Unlimited Plus Streaming Services:
Included Streaming Services: Verizon Unlimited Plus typically includes subscriptions to popular streaming services like Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Check the latest offerings as they may change.
Video Quality: The plan generally allows streaming in HD quality. However, be aware that video resolution may be limited to standard definition (SD) on certain devices or networks.
Mobile Hotspot Data: This plan usually includes a mobile hotspot feature, allowing you to share your data connection with other devices. However, after a certain threshold (often around 15GB), speeds may be reduced.
Network Performance: Verizon is known for its strong network coverage and performance, which is crucial for uninterrupted streaming.
Cost: Compare the plan's monthly fee against your streaming needs and usage. It may be more economical if you regularly use the included services.
Recommendation: If you frequently use streaming services and enjoy content from Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, the Verizon Unlimited Plus plan can be a great value. Just ensure that you monitor your data usage, especially if you plan to use the mobile hotspot feature. Always check for any promotions or changes in service offerings before committing.
