TL;DR Verizon's Unlimited Plus plan includes premium data, optional perks for $10 each, and various discounts. It offers more features compared to other plans but can be costly with add-ons.
Plan Features
The Verizon Unlimited Plus plan provides 50 GB of premium data [5:1], which means you get prioritized data access even during network congestion. This is a significant upgrade over some older unlimited plans that may not offer such priority
[5:2]. Additionally, the plan does not have line access fees, although taxes and other fees may apply
[5:3].
Perks and Add-ons
Unlimited Plus allows users to opt into various perks at $10 per month each. These include streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ (with ads) [1:2]
[3:1]. Other options include Apple Music Family, TravelPass days, and cloud storage
[4:4]. While these perks can be beneficial, they can also significantly increase your monthly bill if you choose multiple add-ons
[4:8].
Cost Considerations
The cost of the Unlimited Plus plan can be substantial, especially when adding multiple perks. For example, one user reported a total of $140 per month for their plan with several add-ons [4]. Compared to the Get More plan, Unlimited Plus offers additional travel pass days and more cloud storage, but it may not be as cost-effective depending on your needs
[4:5].
Comparison with Other Plans
Compared to other Verizon plans, Unlimited Plus offers more flexibility with perks and premium data but at a higher cost. The Get More plan might be better suited for those who prefer fewer add-ons and lower overall costs [4:3]
[4:7]. It's important to evaluate whether the additional features and perks justify the extra expense based on individual usage and preferences.
Recommendations Beyond Discussions
If you're considering Verizon Unlimited Plus, assess your need for premium data and specific perks. If you're frequently traveling or require high-priority data, this plan could be advantageous. However, if you're primarily interested in streaming services, consider whether subscribing directly to these services might be more economical.
I see online Verizon offers to let you add a perk like Disney+ Or Hbo max but how does this work? Do they get added as a channel? Like Netflix, youtube, pluto tv and tubi? I'm really confused on how the perks work because I already have Netflix available since the beginning so why is there an option to add Netflix+HBO MAX? Will Max gets its own channel or will it be incorporated into the Netflix widget? And why does it say I would be charged $10 a month? Would I be paying just to have these services on my tv, ON TOP of the regular subscription cost for those services? Or will I only pay $10 and Verizon will essentially cover the cost of the subscription for me?
You're paying for the plan and whatever perks that's available for you would cost $10 per month, each perk, each line. Instead of paying both Netflix and Max with ads directly ($17.98), you only pay $10 with Verizon, saving you $7.98 a month. Same thing goes for Disney bundle and Apple one, etc.
Perks cost $10 per month and it's optional.
I think you’re not understanding correctly. You can basically use Verizon as a discount and only pay the $10 instead of what you’re already paying for those services.
It’s 10 buck includes Netflix premium and rest of the add ons are with ads . Call customer service they’ll add it for you and you have to register perks from my Verizon app to use them
Do they get added as a channel? Or do you access them through the widget menu? So they're really making you pay just to have access to streaming services? On top of the subscription cost? I already have a playstation 4 and amazon fire stick, paying an extra 10 for these services on fios would be ludicrous when I can already watch them elsewhere.
One you opt in for the perk you’ll get an email or sms , in it you’ll have a link to register for the perks once you do that you’re good to go
Is the unlimited gb that much better? I read the unlimited plus plan and it sounds better what am I missing
You pay more for less service. Thats the difference
Dude that’s what I’m trying to figure out. The plus has more perks like hotspot and discounts, literally all the unlimited gb says is unlimited talk text and data but the plus says the same thing
Oh, I thought you were talking about the older unlimited where you had a limited everything including hotspot. That’s what I have in Verizon won’t honor any promotions while you’re on that plan because everything else is more expensive and less perks
Hey, there. We saw your post about wanting to know the difference between our unlimited plans. Below is a link attached to go over our plans. Feel free to send us a Private Message, if you have further questions.
Unlimited GB? I think I may need a screenshot or a title I can recognise, but let me fill you in on what to expect from the plans:
What to expect:
● Access to $10 perks, e.g., $10 netflix and HBO Max bundle, $10 Disney+ Bundle, $10 Unlimited Verizon Cloud storage, $10 YouTube premium, etc
● They're common to certain promos and deals, while rare ones are only targeted that doesnt require plan changes
● They get $10/line discount when enrolled in AutoPay (except connected devices like tablets and smartwatches)
The Unlimited plus features the following: ● Unlimited calls, text, and data
● 5GUW access (location dependent)
● You get unlimited premium data, a k.a. you'll get priority even when the network is in traffic
● You get 50% off the cellular plan on 1 connected device
● The best plan both economically and experience-wise.
● 30GB Mobile Hotspot
The price could change depending on the number of phone lines on the account, and if you enrolled in AP or not
You can also get into the Unlimited Ultimate, which is basically a buffed Unlimited Plus with their difference being that it includes 200GB mobile hotspot, 50% off TWO connected devices instead of one, and you can prolly go all in with offers or deals.
I had been using my VZW account for my Disney+ sub but after upgrading to the Unlimited Plus it offers Disney, Hulu and ESPN+ (with ads). Does the Disney+ in this perk have ads or is it just ESPN? I'd rather no ads so I may skip this perk. Thanks.
The current perk that is $10 has ads for all three services.
Ok, that's what I wanted to know. Thanks.
Here is my unlimited plus 1 line plan. Whoa!
$140.00/mo
Unlimited Plus
Save $10 with Auto Pay.
Enroll after completing this purchase.
$90.00/mo
Disney Bundle
$14.99/mo value
$10.00/mo
Apple Music Family
$16.99/mo value
$10.00/mo
Smartwatch Data & Safety
$20/mo value
$10.00/mo
3 TravelPass Days
$30/mo value
$10.00/mo
2 TB Cloud Storage
$14.99/mo value
$10.00/mo
I just priced it out for 1 line if you add all the perks. 180 a month. Insane. In the Verizon app it even says that they recommend I switch to the new plan.
I saw that too and when I compared it's not worth the switch. I'm sticking with get more plan as long as I can.
The get more plan is far better than this. Verizon messed up again …
You added five $10 add-ons.
I sure did ! Tried to get it as close as get more. I'm too tired I probably screwed up something. I was trying to give people a general idea
Compared to Get More you have an extra 1.4 TB of cloud storage, 2 more travel pass days accrued per month, Apple Music family instead of individual, and smart watch safety which wasn’t on Get More at all.
Not really a 1:1 comparison.
edit: changed GB to TB
I’m sorry I stopped taking this seriously when I saw the data and safety and the cloud storage.
Their both bullshit and totally unneeded.
These new plans are bullshit too. But this is just trying to make it look worse than it really is. If you don’t get all the extra bullshit it’s a small increase overall.
The real loss is the trade in discounts getting butchered.
Yup! It tells me if I switch I lose my promotions but then says I’ll keep them (sounds fishy) and I ain’t want no $600 charge to buy out devices. Not worth the $10 savings
And you get way less when upgrading so time to buy phones outright
Honestly, if they gave each line one free perk of your choice it wouldn’t be a bad deal. Obviously not as good as Get More, but I honestly don’t use most/any of the perks.
It’s claiming $35/line for Plus on my 4 phone line account. Aka same as my Do More lines.
I like that. Either reduce the prices without addons or give you one free perk of your choice. I love my get more and probably won’t switch.
It seems Unlimited Plus has priority data now.
Also does prepaid or the new unlimited plans have line access fees? I want the priority data, but don’t need the perks.
Also I don’t want to use Visible, I would prefer to stick with Verizon for when I’m out of the country.
Any help is appreciated! Happy New Year everyone!
Verizon prepaid doesn't have line access fees, but they do charge taxes and other fees. Verizon's postpaid unlimited plans don't have line access fees either.
That’s good to know! It’s been 2 years since I’ve had straight Verizon so that’s great news! Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it.
Unlimited Plus has 50 GB of premium data now.

Well I was doing the math and it seems like the Unlimited Plus is a better deal. $830 trade in credit vs $1100. Instead of paying $10 more a month (plus a bit more for whatever taxes add to that) for the Unlimited Ultimate, you can pay $7.5 more a month for the unsubsidized part of your upgrade. If you get extra value from the UU plan you should do it, but for me I don’t need the extra hotspot data, etc.
I will say I have upgraded to the Unlimited Ultimate plan twice in the past year when I traveled to Europe and wanted the international travel that is part of that plan. Once I was back in the US I downgraded back to Unlimited Plus. Are there some extra features of the UU plan that make it worth the additional $90 over the 3 years?
Does it affect the trade in credits if you upgrade and downgrade plans
If you are on the UP plan and only receive the $830 credit you can go up to UU and back down to UP and not lose your bill credits. If you were to drop to Unlimited Welcome you would lose your bill credits.
If you are UU and receive the $1100 credit you have to stay on UU. If you drop to UP you lose the bill credits. Since I only need UU occasionally I plan on only taking the $830 trade in option.
Yes
We are twins. I did the same with the upgrade and with traveling.
Can't you upgrade the months you travel only and then downgrade? That's what I did last time I went out of the country
money because it’s the price plan then device financed then taxes and fees and surcharge that total x 36 months and that’s how much you’re paying. Not to mention not everybody needs to be on the highest tier plan to use Verizon services. Sure it gives you $1100 off on the uu, but on the up, it’s $830 off still a good deal. You’ll do the math. $90 vs. $85 is a huge difference.
Nope that's the only difference if you're getting pro or pro max but for people getting the base model they don't need that or people that have tier 2 trade ins
Don’t be scared you got all the answers make a decision cowboy
I did this math and ended up with Ultimate Welcome. $55/month, $600 rebate = $1380 over 36 months. (Vs Ultimate unlimited $80/month, $1100 rebate = $1780 over 36 months) that’s enough savings for me to live with the limitations of the welcome plan. I agree with you that the cost difference between unlimited and plus is not much!
The plans says streaming services Disney+, Hulu, Espn+ are all included in the plan. Is this free for lifetime as long as I have the plan?
Has anyone who got the year of Disney+ free last year heard if you can also get this for free after that is over? Right now it's $6 until Disney+ ends and then normal price after that. Which doesn't make sense to me.
I got Disney+ last year and I just spoke to them in chat and they said the Play More Unlimited plan includes the bundle for free so I am thinking about just switching over from fUDP when Disney+ ends in November.
Thanks. I have that plan so I’ll check once my year of Disney+ ends.
Ugh, just about 4 weeks ago I signed up for ESPN+ to watch my local USL team .. and that's an annual subscription. Fook.
I signed up for 3 years of Disney+ back in the fall. Disney refunded me when I asked.
How did you do this.. I am in the same boat... id love a refund... Love to use your template.. :)
You can probably get them to refund you.
Yes
Does anyone know what the feature “Entitlement for Unlimited” is under my feature list on my account??
TIA
I believe it’s the base feature that grants unlimited deprioritized data. If you have a prioritized quota that’s a separate feature code.
Where in that link does it answer the question?
They are just using a fancy group of words.
Is it possible to learn this power...?
I wish I could tell you, but it just showed up that way.
Can someone please help me understand the current unlimited wireless plans? I have 10 phones on a family plan and I'm struggling to understand what the plans include and what the differences are between the plans.
I have called support to try to understand it, which has worked in the past, but the rep I spoke with dismissed me very rudely and wasn't helpful.
Any help would be appreciated.
What are you having a hard time with the website points out what the features are. Maybe yu can be specific about which plan you are interested in and what exactly confuses you.
What plan are you on right now?
Do you have 10 phones on a non unlimited plan as of right now? What plan are you on?
