TL;DR Hades 2 builds on the original with more strategic combat, new mechanics like Omega moves and Magick, while maintaining its addictive gameplay loop.
Combat Mechanics
The combat in Hades 2 has evolved to require a more methodical approach compared to its predecessor. While Hades 1 allowed players to spam dash and rely on explosive attacks, Hades 2 introduces a strategic layer where players must be careful about when to dash and how to manage encounters [4:1]
[4:2]. The addition of Omega moves, which are charged attacks using Magick, adds depth to combat by offering new movesets that can complement different builds and playstyles
[4:5].
New Features: Magick and Omega Moves
Magick is introduced as a new resource in Hades 2, providing players with options for both active and passive abilities. Players can use Magick to perform Omega moves or enhance their abilities through passive buffs [4:6]. This mechanic adds complexity and variety to gameplay, allowing players to experiment with different strategies and combinations
[4:8].
Gameplay Experience
Players have reported that Hades 2 maintains the addictive "one more run" mentality that made the first game popular [1]. The sequel retains the core elements of roguelike progression, where players start over upon death but carry over meta currency for permanent upgrades
[2:1]. Despite the repetitive nature inherent to roguelikes, many players find the game engaging due to its polished mechanics and compelling storytelling
[3],
[5:3].
Improvements Over Hades 1
Hades 2 is seen as an improvement over the original in terms of mechanical complexity and refinement. It offers new content, story elements, and boon variety, addressing minor issues from Hades 1 and elevating the overall experience [4:3]. However, some players may prefer the simplicity and pace of the original
[4:6].
Overall, Hades 2 is praised for its engaging gameplay, strategic depth, and the enhancements it brings to the series. Whether you're a fan of the original or new to the franchise, Hades 2 promises a rich and rewarding experience.
Hades was the game that introduced me to the genre, and that’s a pretty high bar to beat. I was on the fence about the sequel, because I usually don’t buy early access, and sequels are often not as good.
But my god, I have been sucked into this one. It’s just so good. The combat is just as fun as ever, the voice acting just scratches my brain in the right way, it’s gorgeous, and I’m just obsessed. It’s hitting that ‘one more run’ mentally for me so hard right now.
Very good game, shame I'm absolutely dog shit at it.
It's so fucking good. They absolutely crushed it. It's probably my #1 or #2 game recommendation of the last decade.
Supergiant is one of a couple devs that I’ll give money to in early access, they’ve proven time and time again that my money is well spent on their games. This one took everything good about the first game and turned it up to 13. They bring out the best in the voice talent (seriously compare Mel and Neyrelle in D4) and the writing is as good as ever.
I haven’t been able to go back to the first game because this one is just strictly better
I've been planning to get Hades for a while but I'm tied between it and a couple of other games. I just want to know what to expect from this game, and if it's 100% worth it. Also, how long would it take me to play, as I want a game that's quite time-consuming. :)
Just saying, if you go to a game's sub and ask if you should get it, the answer is always yes.
But yeah, if you like roguelikes, you'll like this game.
Well speaking as someone who had never played a roguelike before and loved it… it’s just really good game
I'm you.
Never played move-in rogue lites (played text based Moria back in the day though) and mostly stick to slow strategy games like Civilization. Have played more Hades than any other game every year since its launch. Good game.
Looking forward to Hades II.
I don't like roguelikes and I loved this game! I tried it a few years ago and played for like 5 minutes. Just kind of seemed whatever to me. Tried it again this year and made a serious effort to play more than 30 minutes and I got hooked.
maybe you do like roguelikes
I had never played roguelikes and I loved this game. Then I played others and it wasn't the same.
One of the finest games ever made. It's the only game in my Steam library I bothered to complete. And I'm almost 300 hours in, but currently playing Hades 2.
It's one of two games I've torrented then paid for. The other being elden ring.
Not necessarily. The people who will criticise on most game subreddits will criticise things that aren't likely to have chased them away or put them off for playing more.
For example, I have a ton of things I can complain about in WoW and I can certainly make dozens of suggestions to make it more to my liking. But I still play it, and a lot of things WoW does are easily enough to put other people off - and with good reason.
You will get reliable criticisms often in the sense that they are making informed complaints and - hopefully (but not always) - are making suggestions for the game to better fulfil its intended purpose.
But you are not getting reliable criticisms in the sense that the criticisms are comprehensive as to the problems with the game that may apply to you. WoW doesn't respect player time nearly as much as most games, but that won't get brought up much on the subreddit by and large because as bad as it is now, it was much worse before. So if you ask if you should play WoW you'll hear about complaints regarding class balance or seasonal changes or maybe the contemporary story, but on /r/wow it's "the best MMO out there" and the other stuff that we already accept doesn't get brought up as much.
Now personally I don't see any issues with Hades I or II. I may have nitty gritty complaints about many other games I play but in general (good) single player games are very good at what they're designed for, and Supergiant Games produces great single player games. Hades II has more polish than many release games out there and it's in Early Access.
Well I hate to brake it to you but asking the dedicated sub full of fans if the game is worth it or not is a pretty silly idea.
Of course we will all tell you it’s worth it.
However I am mature enough to realize that not every game is for everyone(stupid collective shout).
Hades may be a game for you or it may not be.
Hades is a rogue like game. It means that when you die you start back at the beginning again.
Thankfully Hades has Meta currency that you can bring back with you to power yourself up with Permanent upgrades.
As for what you will be getting yourself into.
Zagreus is the son of Hades god of the dead.
Zag wants to escape the Greek underworld to go live with his godly relatives up on Mount Olympus.
To do this Zag has to battle his way through various Lvs of the underworld and many enemies and four strong bosses to reach the surface world and eventually Mt Olympus.
Whenever Zag fails in battle he returns to the house of Hades.
There he can use Gems, Darkness, Nectar, Keys, Diamonds, Ambrosia and Titans Blood to do various things.
Like giving Nectar to NPC’s to further his relationships with them.
Using his meta currency at the House Contractor to renovate the house itself via cosmetic items or buy stuff to help him out with various quests or to alter the underworld to help him escape.
He can use his darkness to power himself up via the Mirror of Darkness in his room.
Use Keys to unlock more of the mirror or use said keys to unlock more weapons for him to try out in his escape attempts.
Eventually he can use the Titian’s blood he gathers to power up his weapons.
As for playtime that depends on where you stop and how long it takes you to understand the combat well enough.
How long to beat .com says Main Story 23 Hours
Main + Sides 48½ Hours
Completionist 95 Hours
All Styles 43½ Hours
So you can get at least a good 24-100 hours out of the game if not more. Some of us have fell in love with the game so much that we have well over 200 hours in it.
Honestly it just depends on how much you come to love the game.
The game is also only about $25 US. So it’s a really good bang for your buck.
The general game play loop is you choose a weapon then choose a keepsake(once you have those unlocked) then start your escape attempt.
You battle your way through the hoard of undead and various bosses Hades sends your way.
You pick up various boons from your godly relatives to help power you up. You can collect gold, Max hp, hammers to upgrade your weapons and pomegranates of power to Lv up your god boons.
These are only temporary and go away once you die.
You can also get your various meta currency as stated above.
Once you die you get sent back to the house and you use your various meta currency to power up. You also talk to NPC’s to get more story.
In the beginning you will die a lot. Each time you make it to a new boss you will die a lot.
Get used to it. At least with Hades Dying is not total defeat.
It means you can take what you learned and try and go farther the next time.
While the gameplay itself is fun for many players. I think what draws and keeps most of us in is the Story, characters, visuals and sound designs.
The Lv of polish the game has is so great many have stated that Hades has killed or at least diminished there excitement of similar style of game.
Although in recent years plenty of other quality games in the rogue like genre have popped up.
One last thing before I go.
Here is an old comment of mine going over the mirror in extensive detail.
Useful tips for new players. Part 1
Useful Tips for new players. Part 2
Good luck, have fun and always remember,
THERE IS NO ESCAPE!!! EVIL LAUGHTER!!!
Awesome comment. Saved for when I rescue Hades from my switch backlog.
You will get a huge worth out of this game. The gameplay loop will keep you coming back.
1 week. I've had this game for 1 week. In that week, I've logged 60 hours. Granted, a good chunk of that was taking breaks and just leaving the game on, but still at least 40 hours in a week. It's just too fun. How am I supposed to do other stuff this summer when I could instead be playing Hades? I'm not even good at it, I've only beaten [redacted] a couple times. But even though I'm bad it's just so fun, so I want to get better
I’m pretty sure SGG have somehow managed to infuse the pure addictive essence of crack cocaine into their game.
Well either that or they have just made a well polished game that they put many hours of love, blood, sweat and tears into while also respecting the players of their games.
It’s probably the second one but the first one sounds more insane and funny.
Also congrats on beating redacted a few times already. Here are some links that should be able to help you understand the game better.
Leereamsnyder’s Hades 1 Build Guide!
Widely considered the Hades 1 Bible(jokingly but for good reasons). It is one of, if not the best Hades 1 guide out there.
YT: Haelian’s O to 32 Heat Guide. This video explains the Pact Of Punishment, really well in the first few minutes of the video.
YT: Haelian analyzes player data to determine how to beat 32 Heat.
Banana’s 32 Heat Guide. Banana’s guide has a section on working your way up to 32 Heat so it’s still useful even at low Heat.
Leereamsnyder on clearing 32 Heat W/ All Aspects.
Leereamsnyder on how to handle Tight Dead Line.
How to unlock all hidden weapon aspects in Hades 1
Use them now, use them later or never use them. These are just tools I’ve given you that you can use if you so wish.
Also one more thing before I go. This sub is usually pretty chill and it’s rather helpful as well. So don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Usually you will get at least a few answers within the first hour to day of posting.
Good luck, have fun and always remember,
THERE IS NO ESCAPE!!! EVIL LAUGHTER!!!
Damn. You got this many helpful links for Hades 2? I just got it and feel like I have yet to get it like I did Hades 1.
There is really not that many things made. Since H2 is still in EA and subject to chance every few months. No one has made big guides like these.
I don’t have time right now to make any sort of mini guide for you. It will have to wait until after I’m done with work.
I second that this sub is very chill. I'm a 43 year old gamer so have been a member of lots of gaming subs and people here are great. I just started the game last week as well, got it for $10 on PS5. I've got 30ish hours in and took me 47 runs to see the surface. So much to do and loving it!
Wep. I’ve been here in this sub near daily for over a year and I can count the number of truly toxic interactions I’ve have had here on one hand.
I don't think I'm going to quit playing until Hades 2 comes out on the Switch.
EXACTLY. THIS GAME IS MY NEW ADDICTION. Although I got carpal tunnel and have to take a break from it, how will I survive??
Yeah I once had to use my middle finger to left click because I was fighting REDACTED for the first time 😭
Oof. I can't beat Lernie, and it's really annoying because I'm so close to beating him, them he kills me at the last second. And my dad is um... Not giving me the best advice? I think he's assuming I'm farther in the game than I actually am lol. Told me to start fishing, but I don't have a rod.
To be specific, it's very hard to find a cohesive comparison that goes over what's different from the current iteration of H2 vs. Hades. I can find what changed last patch, but it's harder to find good comparisons between the current patch and the first game
The biggest change is movement. In the first game you can spam the dash and be mostly safe. In Hades 2, you can't. You need to actually be careful about when to dash and avoid attacks.
The sprint is so much better than the frantic/spastic dash of 1 imo. Makes the game feel so much better.
Tho it does make dash boons way worse in hades 2 Sprint boons exept hera's are really good tho
IMO it's literally a sequel. Same core with new content, new story, more mechanical complexity and refinement, more duration of game to play with more boon variety, the few minor problems from Hades 1 fixed, it's literally Hades 1 but they've elevated everything.
Yes, the game is an improvement.
Your moves (Attack, Special, Cast) have an Omega version, that does more damage and works a little bit differently. You need to charge them by holding down the button and using Magick. The Omega Moves add basically a new moveset to combat. You don't even have to use them, they are just another option that might or might not fit your build and playstyle.
Magick (Mana basically) is a new ressource in combat that can either be used for the Omega moves or passive buffs. The first consume Magick on demand the latter permanently cap your Magick-pool. As in "Your Attack does 10 more damage but your Magick is permanently reduced by 20"
There are a few quality of life improvements.
The game offers more variety in level design, enemies, bosses and random encounters.
Zagreus' Cast is the blood missile. Melinoe's Cast is an area that stuns enemies in it
It does not stun them unless you have a specific god on cast. Otherwise it just slows most enemies down considerably.
It roots normal enemies and slows mini and big bosses. Though some normal enemies are slowed instead of rooted.
I mean yeah, there are aspects or builds where you dont need omegas, but u cant make every run not using omegas, you are missing combos or builds that are offered or sometimes even forced to take and not making omegas is like you have a boon for decoration
I think the biggest change is the addition of magic as a second resource and the addition of omega moves, charged attacks that use magic.
Base cast is now an AoE crowd control that deals no damage.
Also it's essentially twice as big.
Can't comment on the story because most of the main story is still unreleased.
I do think it's an improvement, but I can see someone preferring the original.
The game is different, not better or worse. I have like 500 hours in hades 1 and I while I still love it, I just kind of vibe with hades 2 combat more. In hades 1, you’re double dashing around every few seconds, holding down the attack button, and generally everything around you is exploding at all times. It’s very fun and satisfying.
Hades 2, on the other hand, requires a more methodical approach to how you handle encounters. Your cast is used mostly for crowd control rather than damage so you can kite enemies back, draw them in to damage all of them, or give yourself some breathing room. The biggest change is channeling your attacks, specials, and cast into an “omega attack/special/cast” that costs magick (mana). It gives a huge amount of depth to all the weapons, and also gives you another resource to manage. It is a very, very compelling sequel and an awesome expansion of the first game’s combat.
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews and thinking about picking it since it’s only $10. I’ve read that the game gets pretty repetitive and is only 4 levels, is this true? Can someone explain the hype. Thx
It’s one of the roguelites of all time. It takes itself too seriously. I’d rather play gungeon or Isaac.
underhyped honestly.
phenomenal game
It's a great game to play through the first time! Any playthrough after, you're probably making content lol
Hated it.
i am in love with roguelikes, played rogue legacy, dead cells, skull the hero slayer etc. liked these all but hades was so ass for me, didnt enjoy it.
I have been waiting to play Hades 2 until it was finished because I wanted to play the final vision not a work in progress. However, I am beyond hyped now and I'm very tempted to go play the like 90% build.
What I can't seem to figure out though is if the things currently missing from the early access build are heavily end game weighted? If I went and played early access and didn't make it to the end game would it be more or less indestinguishable from the release version, or are there things missing from the whole experience that will be added in release?
It’s hard to tell since we don’t know what else is coming, but from our best guess, your assumption is probably correct: you could play the game now and so long as you don’t beat a run, it’d probably be an indistinguishable game from the final release. However I say “probably” because we really don’t know if they’ll tweak more gameplay stuff; they could adjust boons, tweak stats, etc that might impact your flow after v1.0. Overall story content will probably be identical to what you’d experience up until the first “win” though.
If it were the first game, the story cutoff now would be like if you beat Hades and then got sent back to the House, so you wouldn’t meet Persephone (which I believe is how they cut it off in the Hades 1 EA). So we think that it’s mostly story conclusion that we’re missing, but we don’t know how many runs the player will have to complete, and there are still a lot of plot threads that need to be addressed, so it’s hard to say.
ETA: They have said they don’t plan on adding more zones, enemies, etc. so the overall structure is pretty much done. If they do add fresh gameplay content, I expect it could be a hidden boss like Charon. So again, I’d say gameplay wise it’s probably 90-95% done, but it’s hard to judge the amount of missing story content.
Will they release the changes made in v1.0 from the early access build (forgot the term.. change logs??). Have they done that before in Hades v1.0?
It's possible! They did show a list of changes when Hades v1.0 released out of Early Access, and there were several more post-launch patches. Looks like those were mostly bug fixes but also included a few adjustment tweaks.
The fact that we’re days away from Hades 2, still fresh off the release of Silksong still feels unreal but no, it’s very much real
9 days left, just wait. I played for 60 hours and had a blast but I haven't played for 4 months or longer as I'm waiting for the full experience. No reason to jump in right now with it being so close to what the devs envisioned in my opinion.
I ran 30 hours when the game launched in EA. Long time coming but wanted to wait for everything.
This is exactly me. Same amount of hours, same length of time not playing. Beyond hyped.
You waited this long.. just wait another 9 days and play the final release. Comes out Sept 25.
Like 95% like all weapons and hidden aspects are done and i think all character models, we are just missing like the conclusion to the story pretty much.
I finished two many storylines to not want to do a new file lol, I did all of the narcissus stuff before he even had a model
Yeah im pretty much done with almost all of the storylines that's available but will stay on this save to have a 100% save and after that will probs make a new save
Yeah I waffled on spoiler tagging that but the thing is the v1.0 trailer explicitly says >!there are two routes, so I figure we might be able to talk about both routes openly now?!<
ETA: I've adjusted my earlier comment to avoid that phrasing, but you might want to adjust yours if you want to avoid spoiling too ;)
Tl;Dr Hades is a phenomenal game, but it's hard for me to go back to after the sequel. Hades is maybe my favorite game of the 2020s and one of the games with which I have most hours logged onto the Switch. So when I bought a Steam Deck last September, Hades II was an obvious buy, even with me being slightly wary of playing a game in early access. My initial impressions were mixed, with the different mechanics and the difference in how the main character plays making me not get into it immediately. But once I did, I found the groove well, and now I can finish runs like it's second nature. A few days ago, I decided to download the first Hades onto my Deck because I hadn't played it in almost a year, could activate my crosssave, and finally get some achievements. Plus, I never actually finished everything, and while I'm waiting for Hades II's full release, it felt like a no-brainer to go back. My first decision was to turn off the heat because I knew my muscle memory wouldn't be atuned to Zag anymore. Which it most certainly wasn't. And [Zag] man, going back to the first game after getting used to the second is slightly rough. I would never claim that the game is remotely janky, but the mechanic improvements in the second game immediately felt apparent. Zagreus feels slow (which is ironic, since at first I thought Melinoe felt slow), and the run just didn't feel as interesting. Now that's probably a mix of the lower difficulty with the heat off, the higher stakes of the second game's plot, and the fact that I haven't touched it in so long, but the whole time I felt myself just wanting to go back to the sequel. It kinda reminds me of when I went back to the first Batman: Arkham Asylum game after getting used to the smoother gameplay of the sequels. I could tell it was a game that needed some tweaking when I had the hindsight letting me see what could be tweaked (although I still like the structure of the first Arkham game the best). I don't want anyone to see this as shade (no pun intended) against the first Hades. It's a phenomenal game, a masterpiece. But it really just speaks to Hades II doing everything a good sequel's supposed to do. It takes the bones of the first game and finds places to improve on it, make it bigger and more fleshed out. The fact that it did this in early access even, to the point where the full first game isn't scratching the itch anymore, is practically miraculous.
I’ve also been a big fan of the mechanic changes and the flow of combat that Hades 2 has. My addiction to Hades 2 feels a lot more apparent than Hades. The flow of the battles just feels superb
I almost have as much playtime as Hades (which I 100% and more) in Hades 2, and it's still early access... That is a statement alone
Agree wholeheartedly (but I do miss the weapons from Hades 1; might just be nostalgia bias but I find them a bit more satisfying overall)
I understand that
Yeah, the flow feels so strong.
I like 2 better for mostly the same reasons. H2 has more content, is newer, and they did take everything they learned in Hades 1 to make H2 better. Hell, H1 got to be so good for the same reasons... they took what they learned from their previous games (Bastion and Transistor) into there.
I tried going back to hades 1 a couple days ago and I had similar thoughts.
Same here. They really did amazing at keeping the core gameplay while doubling the content and making it even more fresh. Is this what happens when you let a team build the game they want?
I prefer 1 in every category but i do enjoy 2 as well
Fair!
Honestly, I missed the train for Hades 1 and didn't play the game at all, but when the very first version of Hades 2 went out, I wanted to give it a shot and well, the magic happened right away. The universe is great, gameplay is dynamic and nervous, characters are amazing, I understood why the first game was so adored.
But now I am in a weird situation, I cannot wait for the game fully released, I want to know the full story and everything they have to offer to us and each day without a date is a new pain.
And that's so strange, because I know, we waited this long so a few months more is no big deal but hey, I can't do anything about it I guess !
Plus, the only thing I didn't completed is fully upgrading all weapons so I don't have anything much to do now...
Why not just play H1 while you're waiting? What does "missed the train" mean? It hasn't aged badly.
I'm sort of assuming you meant you wanted to be up-to-date with everyone in the community, but most everyone in the H2 EA community is in the same boat at the moment: waiting on release, which probably won't be for a few months.
You could always go back and play Hades 1, not sure what you mean by missed the train. I just came back after over a year off and finally finished the epilogue. It's still a great game so no reason to skip it. Especially since the story in 2 will make more sense if you complete 1. It'll scratch the itch and you will complete at least the main story before 2 is released.
This. And don’t give up on it right away because it doesn’t play and feel exactly like hades 2. It really is a masterpiece and it’d be silly to not play it! You’ll get more hades pretty much.
I started Hades 1 a week ago. About 10/20 hours in. Getting rekt but the game is great... Dno why you can't start Hades 1?
Playing hades 1 is so worth, you should try it
So after looking at what's on Steam, I'm very curious what exactly the game will be. I was really surprised Super Giant decided to make a straight sequel. I'm excited at the prospect of them perfecting something they've already established. But with as different as each of their games are from each other, I have a hard time imagining that it will just be the same exact thing with different characters, boons, and environments, as much as that would probably be fine.
My dream was that they'd turn it into something more like Diablo, with a continuous campaign and progression, but that's obviously not the case. I wonder if they would do something more like Dead Cells, where each stage has multiple exits so you can take different paths so each run isn't the same 4 "levels".
None. I’ma just enjoy the game for what it is.
None, and then I can just accept and enjoy it for what it is when the time comes
It might be the most blunt and obvious, but just having a "Hades, but more and somehow even more polished" is already really enticing. If I had anything in particular I would like it would be maybe having gods, goddesses, and figures that were only referenced in Hades such as Hestia, Chiron, etc serve a more significant role, whether it be through boons or possibly as hub characters. I especially want Hestia, though, as she's one of my favorite Greek goddesses and would love to see Supergiant's take on her.
I do also like the idea of having different routes, though, or possibly just having slight alternates of each layer that might have a unique boss fight and or "drop" at the end to encourage people to go through every route with every weapon.
Typing this after dying to Prometheus for the bajillionth time. This game seems much harder than the original, anyone else find this to be true? Still enjoyable, if quite difficult
At first I found it harder but because Melinoe has a different playstyle, which I like btw because is not a Zagreus 2
Later, the challenge is not common enemies in Hades 2, but minibosses and bosses, I find myself dying in any room (specially from Elysium) with Zagreus, but with Melinoe is always against a boss or miniboss
This makes me happy. I have yet to play 2 since I’m primarily a console gamer. Sounds like with the play style being so different it might give some reason to actually go back to 1 sometimes for a change of pace instead of abandoning it.
I've gone back and forth a bit after having put over 160 hours into both and they play different enough that it's as you say. Sometimes I want the spammy zig-zagreous instead of the methodical melinoe
That’s a huge difference for me. Random Tartarus or Elysium rooms can wreck me as Zag but Mel I’m only dying to grandpa or any given surface boss
When I finally got the hang on Prometheus then the minibosses from Typhoon or Typhoon itself play with me like an ant
I haven't fought EM typhon nor our grandpappy yet, but out of the first three EM bosses in both runs, Cerberus and Eris have given me the hardest time.
cerberus was a lot worse than i ever expected 😂 and eris' arena is what messes me up. hecate is actually the one that gets me the most right now cause it's so early on and she'll take a DD or 2 from me
that prometheus fight is something else entirely though. i hear typhon and chronos are absolutely insane though and i'm scared lmao. they really upped their game when it comes to the EM fights in here. they're tough in hades 1 but they are demons in 2
Eris was surprisingly the least trouble for me on >!Vow of Rivals!<, and even Prometheus wasn't too bad. It's Polyphemus on >!Vow of Rivals!< that wrecks me.
Down below, same issue for me. Hecate is a struggle on that Vow, but the Sirens and Cerberus weren't too bad.
I wouldn't say it's much harder, but it is harder.
This is presumably on purpose because they want it to still be a challenge to people who played the original for 200 hours. It would be weird to make a sequel and have it be easier than the first game.
Mostly it was just getting used to the differences. Despite the similarities, Mel doesn't really play a lot like Zag, and trying to do that early on ended many a run for me.
I think it's more complex. The enemies are harder but Mel has far more options. So the amount you need to learn to be decent is higher but once you're there it gets much easier to win reliably. Honestly. I can't even remember the last time I died to a non-Guardian, even with Great Chaos. You can just stomp through regular rooms.
But then Rivals is harder than EM was, and the fear cap is way higher so there's more to play.
Agreed, and if I wanted the same game again, I'll (gladly) replay Hades 1
What is the gameplay like in Hades 2
