The cancellation of "Victorious" has been a topic of speculation and discussion among fans for years. Various reasons have been proposed, ranging from network decisions to behind-the-scenes controversies.
Network Decisions and Strategic Changes
One of the primary reasons cited for the cancellation is Nickelodeon's strategic shift towards younger audiences and away from musical shows [1:1]
[4:5]. By 2013, the actors were entering their 20s, which may have influenced the decision to end the show as Nickelodeon typically cancels shows after about 60 episodes
[1:5]
[2:4]
[4:4]. Additionally, the network wanted to focus on new projects like "Sam & Cat," featuring Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy
[2:1]
[4:3].
Production Costs
Another factor contributing to the show's cancellation was its high production costs. The use of legitimate producers and songwriters made the show expensive to produce [1:3]
[2:5]
[4:9]. As the cast members gained popularity, their salaries likely increased, adding further financial strain
[1:3].
Behind-the-Scenes Controversies
There are also rumors of behind-the-scenes issues, including alleged drug use and inappropriate behavior on set [3:1]
[3:2]
[5:1]. Some sources suggest that these problems contributed to the decision to cancel the show due to concerns about potential scandals
[5:4]. However, these claims often originate from unverified blind items and should be approached with skepticism
[3:1]
[5:1].
Cast Dynamics and Personal Ambitions
There were tensions between cast members, particularly between Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande, which may have played a role in the show's end [1:4]
[4:2]. Ariana's growing fame and desire to pursue solo opportunities might have influenced the network's decision to focus on her career
[1:4].
In summary, while there is no confirmed single reason for the cancellation of "Victorious," it appears to be a combination of network strategy, production costs, and possible behind-the-scenes issues.
Hello, new official member here after silently lurking this sub for a while.
Victorious was one of my favorite live-action Nick shows when it was airing, and how this show got canned for no real concrete reason back in 2013 baffles me the more I think about it. Obviously, there's a lot of speculation around the reasons why, but still, it kills me how we didn't get a proper finale like a graduation or something. Also, Victoria deserves some Justice. Her new songs are pretty good now (like her Fergie cover of Big Girls Don't Cry and her latest single Down).
I guess the one of the speculations I could get behind with (other than the alleged illegal activity behind the scenes) was that Nickelodeon was going through a weird transition around 2012-2013 when all their other popular shows were ending within a couple of months between each other, and I for sure felt that transition, because once Henry Danger, The Thundermans, Haunted Hathaways, etc. dropped, I was tapped out personally. No offense to those who genuinely enjoyed these shows I've mentioned but it wasn't for me. I also saw a post two months ago on this sub talking about How To Rock, a similar musical Nick sitcom I enjoyed (axed way too soon imo), commented under that and the show also got canceled around that time. I did watch Sam & Cat though, but it did felt a bit juvenile in comparison to its peers (except when other characters from Victorious and ICarly showed up for a special, that was a highlight) and the character of Cat gotten more dumber and drove me up the wall. Especially when we found out what Jennette was going through during the show made matters worse.
This is all not revolutionary news what I'm saying here , but it's all worth mentioning and bears repeating. I just wanted to echo what was the writing on the wall for over a decade when this show was canned. Comment down below if you agree.
I mean Vic said the show got cancelled in some interview thing I saw on tiktok and she didn't even know they told her over the phone hey shows over. Also I mean all the "pranks" Dan pulled, his behind the scenes videos, how he made everyone uncomfortable then him being let go in 2016 and then the slap. com being taken down after his departure. Sam and Cat didn't last long due to Jeanette and Ari not getting along and probably not as high views, How To Rock I loved but it got pushed to the side like most other shows that weren't the golden boy Dan's
Th reality is that the show was too expensive to produce. Everyone was on the cusp of becoming a big name, especially Ariana, and they we using legit producers and songwriters on the songs.
There was at least a few dozen reasons why the show got the boot. The main ones were Nick wanted to go younger and wanted to get rid of the music shows. How to Rock was canceled and Big Time Rush was as well. The parties might have played a role but no one is talking. The Execs should have had the show do a finale. Also, you’re right about Victoria deserved Justice after Ariana threw her under the bus on AskFM and later Seventeen the Magazine. At least the good news is we will get a spin-off.
Wait when/why did Ariana throw Victoria under the bus?
There was an ASK FM post where Ariana responded to someone about her canceling the show and she replied that the show was canceled because one girl wanted to do a solo tour instead a group and that's what got the show canceled and that she was going to do two shows at once if Victorious got another season. Then Victoria replied via Twitter. Later on, Ari on another post that she didn't mean to attack Victoria, she just got tired of being blamed for the show being canceled.
I heard about the spinoff with Trina. I hope it's good. I will say that Daniella Monet has a pretty interesting career on Nickelodeon, to say the least.
it’s cuz by 2012-2013, the actors was already entering their 20’s and i guess they wanted to go younger to appeal to the next generation of audiences. i feel you on the tapping out after henry dangers and thundermans started coming out. wasn’t a fan of the whole superhero/magic era of nickelodeon from 2014-2017. its clear those were made for a much younger audience
Oh yeah definitely. The mid to late 10s Nickelodeon shows were starting to be unrecognizable to me when those came along. Then it gotten worse in the 2020s with shows like Young Dylan, That Girl Lay Lay, the All That reboot they tried to do, Aaron & Erin, etc.
More current-day fans of this show do need to keep in mind that most Nickelodeon sitcoms ran 3 season, and 50-60 episodes. And yes, clearly the network was ready to “age down” its shows in the 2013-2014 range.
These shows were designed to be aged out of, and it’s sorta remarkable that this show is still making fans years later.
Like why its better than most shows from 2015 to 2021
Victorious was the last great sitcom Nickelodeon made. How To Rock was also very underrated and a good show, Sam & Cat was a better show but it was kinda redundant, and Cousins for life was a great show (CFL is from the creators of Austin and Ally and I’m a diehard A&A Stan so I’m lowkey biased :D). I miss the good Nickcoms so much :’(
Me too but I like the new animated shows too
Probably because of sam and cat
Fans said it might have been but some people also think it was Victoria justices fault
Nickelodeon canceled it. I saw somewhere that Dan and the cast would’ve loved to keep going, but it’s common (or was common then) for Nickelodeon to end shows after about 60 episodes.
I wish that they had a big finale to end off the show like they all graduated and it snaps to 5 years later andre and tori write song and perform songs Beck would become an actor Jade would most likely become a singer Cat would go on to be a Bibble (candy) person or a salesperson just because of her happy personality Robbie would be a puppeteer And they would all meet and just vibe
I would love a finale! I could see the girls and Andre all being singers and actors, Beck being an actor, and Robbie and Rex being a comedian duo. Or maybe Robbie would finally sell Rex and find another passion. Not sure. Regardless, I wish it hadn’t ended so abruptly.
I think read somewhere that the production that included song writing got way to expensive for the network to manage.
Victorious ended because a decision was made by the executives that Jennette and Ariana were more marketable than Victoria. So they cancelled Victorious to pursue Sam and Cat and we all know how that turned out and how big of a mistake that was because Victorious, to this day, is still their last big show.
Id say alta is to
Is it true that victorious ended so suddenly because there was a lot of drugs, partying, and older predators trying to get with the cast and Nick canceled the show because it was becoming too much of a liability? It makes sense because look at Liz gillies husband and that’s just what we know.
That’s what I read in a blind item. Also Avan Jogia mentioned they were always drinking and doing drugs on set. Hell, in Jeanette mccurdys book she says Dan Schneider tried to maker her drink because “the victorious kids do it”.
Avan mentioned drinking (himself) but doing drugs?
According to Lalo garza, (Mexican dubbing director of victorious and other nick series) nick has this policy that no protagonist in a teen show should look 21+ yo older
That’s crazy because I always thought that Liz and Victoria did not look 16
They def looked 16 in the first season. Cause they were 16
Is that that unusual? Of course you don't want someone who looks significantly older than the character they're are supposed to be playing.
Looks and age are 2 completely different things.
I know people in their 30s that can go to a high school and no one would question their presence because they still look like teenagers.
And on the opposite I know 20 year olds that look much older.
there is no confirmed reason
Most likely it was because of ratings and money.
idk man only the crew and tarot readers and mediums know what really happened
Those all come from this Blind Item, but I'm kinda suspicious of it. You shouldn't blindly believe something anonymous and unproveable. The vast majority of blind items aren't true, since anyone can submit them and there's very little vetting. I don't think this one is made up exactly, but It seems embellished to the point of being highly untrustworthy.
This came out in 2014 and there are 2 things that, in retrospect, made it look like it wasn't made up from nothing
So this had to have been written by someone who was somewhat close to both the cast of Victorious and ICarly, but there are certain cues that tell me this is pretty exaggerated. The biggest red flag is saying it was at it's peak in viewership. It wasn't. Not even close. In the first 2 seasons it consistently got 3,4,5 or even occasionally 6 million views, but by the 3rd season, it was getting 2-3 million views. It wasn't going to run for many more years. It's normal for kid sit coms to end after 3 seasons/about 60 episodes. Victorious ended at the time it should have, even if it didn't get a finale. It's things like that make me think this person is prone to exaggeration for the sake of their point, and have me raising an eyebrow when they imply the cast of victorious was constantly doing Hard drugs. Also you should keep in mind this had to have been written by an actual person with their own bias, assumption and perspective. Just because bad things were happening and this person came to the conclusion that that was why the show was cancelled doesn't mean that's the exact truth. one possibility that I think is likely is that they saw the alcohol and weed and extrapolated from there. This person talks as if they are in other people's heads, and you probably shouldn't entirely trust that. "executives feared everyday ", "the network felt like they were rolling dice ", "the network didn't want a scandal "; phrases like that. unless they were one of those executives that had a hand in cancelling it (which I highly doubt) , how do they know exactly what the executives thought?
The vast majority of blind items aren't true, since anyone can submit them and there's very little vetting.
Actually A LOT of blind items have come to pass. Before Ariana's divorce news officially broke out I heard about it from a blind lol and there's many other examples. Also most blind items are written by entertainment lawyers or people who work with celebrities and so was that specific one. And given Jeanette and Avan's testimonies, the drugs and alcohol part doesn't seem far fetched
I 100% agree on the part about exaggerating. These people do often sensionalise the story to the point where it looks questionable but most of the time the overall point is true
Edit: I want to clarify that I'm not implying that this specific blind is true, I've never heard about these rumours before, just generally addressing that part of your comment
My dark theory is, that Nick bailed on Victoria, when the keyboard brigade started hating on her (Something that became stronger when Ariana blamed Victoria for the cancellation), while also pushing Ariana. Because Ariana didn’t have a show of her own she was quickly written into the iCarly spin-off alongside Jenette McCurdy (something Jenette was notified only a few days before filming for the show started).
Jeanette rightfully deserved her own show on Nickelodeon that wasn’t Sam Puckett and that got taken from her to be put in a shitty show with bad acting and a costar half assing.
Yup. Jenette got the bad end of the stick in so many ways. I remember an episode in her podcast, where she spoke about how she was jealous of Ariana because she got so many opportunities and freedom from the producers, while she wasn’t able to get opportunities from Nick in writing and directing.
Well ive heard it was so they could get Ariana to do Sam and cat but also Most nickelodeon shows just didn't have real conclusions if you ever re watch like Icarly was one of the few that had a real ending
Nick usually cancels shows after 3 seasons. Avatar, Danny Phantom and Victorious all ended around 60 episodes despite strong ratings is what I heard.
You usually need really strong ratings to get past this limit.
Cuz nickelodeon didn't want to do musicals anymore. That's the real reason
It's sad because the new Nickelodeon series are bad and they're not very Sitcons anymore, it seems like they've stopped in time.
They didn’t have any money they went over the budget with i Carly and wanted to get rid of musical shows. Victorious also had a large cast no way could they afford to pay them anymore.
I think your idea is correct
This is something we will never know
it got too expensive to make
In this video there's finally a possible answer for this, check it out yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKoCi1yVaoU&list=WL&index=1 (minute 13:00). It scares me how accurate it might be.
Tbh the ending of the show had boring reasons just like actors that play one character for years wanting to move on.. also there are contract on how many episodes some shows have, Disney/nickelodeon have the limit of between 53/60 episode for show then they order more episodes so they don't have to make new contracts, Victorious had three season but nickelodeon split the seasons so the rest of season 3 was actually season 4. Nickelodeon split the season without their knowledge, and cable television was slowly dying as the viewers were getting older, for reference the pilot episode was seen by 5.77 million people - victori-yes was seen by 2,886 million people so there's slight difference in the viewership evident ones, the last episode in production was actually the slap fight (but they aired victori-yes as the last episode) the slap fight was viewed by 2,734 million people, nickelodeon wanted to start new project so some shows have a long breaks between shooting so the production stops and the writers/production moves onto new project they are planning to release and that's what happened with Icarly/Victorious, some of the workers moved to Victorious as Icarly was on hiatus and the people were more focused on Victorious than icarly, and their last attempt was a spin-off they were planning two Gibby/Sam (joined/added by Cat) they didn't pick up Gibby so they continued with Sam&Cat and it was cancelled due to "drama" but also Ariana wanting to move on from child star status and wanting to start her own career, Victoria's tour was with Big Time Rush, she was scheduled to start her own tour which she herself described as "farewell" to Victorious AFTER the cancellation, her individual tours were cancelled so her solo was cancelled of favor of co- headlined tour with Big Time Rush associated albums were 24/seven and Victorious 3.0 songs., She released mostly promotional music or EP music. (And yes there's difference between the actors/production wanting to continue shooting and the network either greenlights it or denies it and the production is over, most viewers were icarly viewers as well, icarly ended November 23, 2012. and victorious ended February 2nd 2013 so it was matter of time really)
The show would've been cancelled either way either due to the network wanting a new project to attract new audiences or for the viewership/expired contracts it was matter of time.
And we know that substance issues were involved not just by Jennette (Sam) but Avan himself confirmed it.
I literally thought the same thing as you, but that was before watching the video. It honestly changed my mind and gave me a new perspective of what happened. Also, don't you think is weird that they didn't do a final ep?
Well I've heard some shady stuff going on the set, but the video also mentioned the network wanted to cancel it as soon as possible for the (the shady stuff) reasons and the dropping viewership definitely helped the network to justify it realistically (so they used it as backbone defense) as far as I remember there was a material/footage of the shooting some scenes but the production got shut down. And honestly the main storyline ended when Tori performed at the awards after that the storyline tried to focus on the other characters and random storylines so if they continued with the show the viewership would drop either way, yes sitcom (means situatio (nal) comedy but even those have overarching arc that should be resolved until the last episode and that storyline got wrapped though they tried to drag it on, graduation episode would be cliche just as much as one of the characters moving out/selling their house) so it would end for the boring reasons (and some of the actors would want to move on sooner or later or would be seen as "too old" to be working for network if the show continued for another 50 episodes)
Someone tl;dr it please? I can't listen for a while.
According to the video, in short, the producers were worried about a scandal. The show was doing very well, but it was getting out of control. There was supposed drugs, alcohol, and sex (rape) between cast and crew on set (rape meaning predators coming for younger cast members with an ultimatum that if they didn’t do as requested, their time in Hollywood was over). It’s a good watch, check it out when you have time.
Definitely because avan jogia and victoria justice was caught fucking so yes i agree their was sex when they were not filming i agree 100% victoria got this show cancelled its all her fault cause she chose to have sex with avan jogia
You said it better than I did :))
It used to be on his twitch. There’s some footage of it on the YouTube channel Victoriousclips.
Matt reveals a lot of stuff and is really close to the show.
Like it wasn't just the fact that Avan Jogia revealed they partied every night, but also that they always acquired dr*gs on set.
Ok why the downvote. Like I would write it here but it's better to listen to it.
Basically bc the Victorious set was a place where the minors could easily get dr*gs, and by the last season things were getting out of control in that matter, so it was better to cancel the show altogether. Apparently it had nothing to do with rating, viewership or Victoria wanting to go on tour alone. I will point out that this info is a blind item, which means that the identities of the people involved aren't revealed, so there are no names, but the info adds up to previously and more publicly known stuff about the show, so it's very likely that it is real, as well as other things revealed in the video.
I revisited “The Slap Fight” episode out of sheer curiosity—it's one I usually skip, and honestly, now I remember why. The plot is just so flimsy and shallow. It screams of low effort.
One thing I’ve always praised Victorious for is its acting. But in Season 4? Wow. Everyone seems to be phoning it in—actors and writers alike. And what is with the constant fourth-wall-breaking nonsense? It feels more like a parody of the show than the show itself.
Did they know the show was getting canceled and just decide, “Eh, whatever,” and threw in the towel? It was the last episode they filmed, after all. If that’s the case, I honestly don’t blame the actors. It’s still frustrating, though, because the show deserved better.
You can really feel it with Elizabeth Gillies and Avan Jogia in this episode—they look completely over it. There’s no spark, no energy, just a sense of going through the motions.
What happened behind the scenes during Season 4? The difference between the early seasons and this final one is staggering. Compare the plots from Season 1—creative, quirky, heartfelt—with Season 4’s... well, whatever this is. It’s like Victorious became the dumping ground for leftover ideas, recycled jokes, and unused set pieces from other shows.
There are only a handful of episodes from Season 4 I’ve bothered to rewatch over the years, and revisiting this one just reminded me why.
It’s not Season 4, it’s technically the second half of Season 3, they just advertised it as Season 4. And no one knew it was getting cancelled, that’s why it ends the way it does.
Yeah on paramount plus it’s only 3 seasons there is no season 4 of victorious.
if they advertised it as season 4 then it’s season 4? they just filmed it at the same time as season 3
No, the production code for the last 27 episodes of the show was coded as Season 3. The creative team behind the show (writers, directors, etc) had it all under Season 3. Nickelodeon advertised it that way as a separate season because kids at 12 years old don’t know any better.
From my understanding, Dan Schneider wasn’t as involved during Season 4 because he was developing another project that ended up falling through. So he wasn’t able to oversee the writing process like he used to
If that’s true, then thats probably the reason for worse writing and plots that seem like rejects from other shows. In Jennette’s book, she says that happened to iCarly in the last season or two. Dan focused on Victorious and no longer put the passion into iCarly. Probably did the same to Victorious, hoping he’d get another hit.
That explains why it felt like we were getting less episodes from icarly around 2011-2012 and I want to point out they did the same thing with icarly they split season 5 in half aswell.
I hope he gets hit.
i do think season 4 is the worst but it still has a lot of great episodes. the slap fight wasn't that bad imo. opposite date is the one i hate the most
season 4 is so funny bc you can see when the actors knew they should cut but they just didn't lmao
Let's be honest, Sinjin, despite being the cause of the problem and getting dragged into the chaos, was the only sane man in the end.
I always felt that iCarly was treated better than Victorious. --- iCarly had the 8pm timeslot on Saturday nights (Victorious usually was at 8:30). iCarly had bigger ratings. iCarly had almost double the episodes of Victorious (109 vs 60). ICarly had a proper finale sendoff in 2012 & years later had a revival.
But after the news of its cancellation last week. . I realize that all TV cancellations are just "Business" -- it happens to even successful shows.
Im just glad Victorious didnt end on a cliffhanger. Our cancellation back in 2012 could have been a lot worse. It was just a normal episode. I guess we can't complain anymore ...
kinda bummed, i thought season 3 was the best season far. it sucks too cause like you said at least victorious wasn’t cancelled on a cliffhanger. and the fact that we’ll never get to see a creddie wedding or carly’s mom…
there was so much more story to tell 😭
I genuinely believe with enough time they could have gotten more of the og cast to guest star like T-Bo (sp), Gibby, and a Socko reveal
Neutral honestly
That’s so shitty of Nick to do her like that. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard about actors being the last to know but it’s extremely shitty bc the caption said she worked with the company since she was 12
That sucked for Victoria.☹ But it looks like she confirmed here that Nick did label the second half of season 3 as season 4.
This pisses me off so much. Like what were the execs at nick thinking? It seriously boggles my mind whoever made that decision it frustrates me
I expect somebody from that show will spill the beans at some point. Obviously there was some drama involved
I look forward to the day when somebody from there goes in deep on everything that happened.
They likely signed things to never speak about whatever actual (non) deals were responsible for Nickelodeon cancelling. It's common practice to not talk about those things anyway.... until many years go by and somebody doesn't care about repercussions.
Avan is the closest to say something with his Tik Toks
Omg the Kidd Kraddick morning show. As a kid I would wake up early on school days just lie in bed an extra hour and listen lmao. And pray the school bus has that station on.
This sounds really scandalous in this clip but I imagine Victoria was aware that the show would be drawing to an end that season. They split the third season as a way of sneaking in an extra season without the cast being able to renegotiate their contracts. I understand that they should have told Victoria directly when it was written in stone that they wouldn’t be returning - but every Nickelodeon and Disney show (with very few exceptions) ends on the third season or right before the crew can renegotiate their contracts. Victoria having been on Zoey 101 would have been familiar with the life expectancy of Victorious.
Here is an article where Zoey Bragg from Liv & Maddie discusses how after three seasons the cast can usually negotiate for higher rates: https://www.justjaredjr.com/2023/08/03/liv-maddie-star-joey-bragg-reveals-why-disney-channel-shows-change-their-title-after-3-seasons/
I understand Victoria would have liked a heads up when it was announced or confirmed the show was going to end, but there is a zero percent chance she was blindsided given she isn’t naive to how these shows work.
Why do people keep asking for a victorious reboot when they don't even deserve the original show in the first place. First they treated the lead like shit just because their favourite character wasn't the lead when Victoria is the reason why the show exist in the first place without her there would be no show.
Made rumours and lies about her, harassed her and cyberbully her for no reasons, send her death threats. Hate her for fake rumours created by them and because she played a character that they did find like and were unable to make the difference betwee the character and the actor.
The rest of the cast seems to be shady, they not even once tried to defend her. Ariana Grande is trash friend for lying about Victoria just because some people though that Sam and cat was the reason why victorious got cancelled.
A reboot it's clear not deserved in this fandom and it's the fandom's fault and also Ariana's fault. You can't treat someone like shit for literally no reasons and expect them to reward you afterwards.
I mean it's fine if you don't like a character but don't go and hate the actor/actress. And it's also it's completely fine if you don't that actor/actress but don't go and hate them.
First people have to apologise to her for how they treated her over the years and maybe then you can beg for a reboot but till then don't ask for one.
Honestly I feel bad for Victoria and the hate she received was unwarranted. The meme, ppl calling her untalented bc she’s not as successful as Ariana, mean girl rumors, and the hate for Tori translating onto her was probably too much. I heard that there was a reboot offered to her and she passed on it and honestly I would’ve too if I was her. And all through this she’s always kept a positive image.
There was no reboot offered. In fact Victoria has said she wants to do a reboot for closure and that she even has an idea for what it would look like.
Source of the Reunion pitch to Victoria that was turned down ?
I think I read a tweet somewhere but they never specified what it would be. Just that she turned it down.
I Honestly don't want a reboot because I feel like it'll ruin the original series. Also I feel like too many of the original characters wouldn't come back. HOWEVER, I would like the series to have a proper ending. Even if they made like a movie for Paramount+...I just want closure 😭😭😩
The entire cast from Ariana to Avan to Victoria to Leon Liz to Matt. Every single member of the main cast have said as recently as this year they would come back. That they want to come back be it a reboot like iCarly or a straight to streaming movie. Simply for the reason they want closure. They want closure for the characters and for the fans.
Same! All I want is a proper ending!
I mostly just want a Victorious character to cameo in iCarly
I don’t understand why people gave Victoria shit for that role. In my opinion, she is a great lead. I couldn’t even imagine the show with another lead.
The fandom doesn't even deserve reunions, remakes, cameos in the new ICarly. Or even a proper ending
Honestly it's the fandoms fault for the victorious hate and the Ariana stans for trying to make a excuse to bully a 29yr-old lady for year's and then saying the reason why they are bullying her is because of a person who was probably always cool with the person who they are trashing
And they also like to use a clip that is taken completely out of context.
It seemed to start when Ari threw her under the bus on Ask.FM later said she got tired of being blamed for the Victorious ending. Then why throw Victoria under the bus, Ari? I'll say this, I don't blame her for the Seventeen Magazine article for the most part. That was on her fans assuming and not going their damn research but Ari could've immediately said it wasn't Victoria. Also, Liz could have done the same thing especially because she had to know who was bullying Ari. I feel like that was one of the reasons why Victoria's career suffered. Again, one of the reasons. I get it not everyone will change there tune. Fitting that the actress and the famous character she played get a lot of unnecessary hate while people worse than them get a lot of love.
I think it was had a lot to do with behind-the-scenes politics. Plus people REALLY ran with the narrative she was self centered.
I'm more disappointed that they both stood by Schneider when they have enough clout to get him cancelled. He probably knew that they were big enough stars that wouldn't have helped his cause so he backed off. And he preyed on types he knew had a small ceiling.
What ruined the Zoey 101 reunion in 2019 was they ate dinner at his house before they continued at the hotel.
They were his victims too. Remember that
Ariana always plays the victim in every situation, and people fawn over her because she's cute
Does this include now? Sorry, but she looks different and it kind of freaks me out.
I've Genuinely seen a YouTuber theorise that the reason people are turning against her more now is because she's aging and losing her baby face
The work she’s had done has made her face look so creepy. It’s a shame because she was adorable when she was younger. It’s so sad to see all the cute celebrities making themselves look like faceless clones of each other
And she's not even cute anymore :/ she used to be beautiful.
hey everyone in here y’all can cool it on the ari hate too
i’ll stop hating her when she builds a time machine and undoes what she did to that poor family. she deserves all the hate she’s getting ❤️
whatever ari said back then has nothing to do with how nasty you’re being but okay
Ari threw her under the bus on Ask.FM later said she got tired of being blamed for the Victorious ending.
I mean, Victoria DID want to do a solo tour, and I doubt the kids actually got a real reason from the studio for the cancellation, so Ari was probably just going with what was the most plausible excuse at the time. They were all really young at the time, and the whole case was laid off for no apparent reason from by all accounts a really popular show they all had fun making. I'd be looking for someone to blame too, in her shoes.
but Ari could've immediately said it wasn't Victoria
I thought she did? How long after the magazine came out did Ari address it? I know she wrote a blog post about it and I thought it was the day of the magazine release.
Liz could have done the same thing especially because she had to know who was bullying Ari
Depends, really. No idea how close they were at the time of the show, how much of it Liz saw. Also its not really Liz's story to tell. Imagine you speak about an incident that happened in your past, being deliberately vague so as not to cause a big drama, then someone you knew back then specifically points at the person you were alluding to without asking you first. Shit situation for everyone.
Why was Victorious cancelled
Key Considerations Regarding the Cancellation of "Victorious":
Viewership Ratings: "Victorious" experienced a decline in viewership during its third season, which likely influenced the decision to cancel the show. Networks often prioritize shows with strong ratings.
Production Costs: As shows progress, production costs can increase. If a show is not performing well in ratings, networks may decide to cut costs by canceling it.
Cast and Crew Availability: The main cast members were growing older and pursuing other opportunities, which may have made it challenging to continue the series with the original lineup.
Network Strategy: Nickelodeon was shifting its focus to new programming and franchises, which may have contributed to the decision to end "Victorious" in favor of fresh content.
Creative Direction: There were discussions about potential storylines and character arcs that may not have aligned with the network's vision for the future of the show.
Takeaway: While "Victorious" had a dedicated fanbase and was popular during its run, a combination of declining ratings, production costs, and network strategy ultimately led to its cancellation after three seasons.
