TL;DR Yes, Tubi is available on LG TVs, but some users have experienced issues with the app not loading properly.
Availability and Access
Tubi is accessible on LG TVs, as evidenced by discussions where users mention using the app. However, there are instances where users have faced problems with the app not loading past the splash screen [2]. This suggests that while the app is available, technical issues may occasionally arise.
Technical Issues and Solutions
Several users have reported issues with the Tubi app on their LG TVs, such as it getting stuck on the splash screen [2]. Some steps attempted to resolve these issues include clearing the app from memory, reinstalling the app, and unplugging the TV
[2]. Tubi support has acknowledged the issue and is working on a solution
[2:3].
User Experience
For those who successfully use Tubi on their LG TVs, the experience can be straightforward, as one user mentioned downloading Tubi quickly and easily for free [4:5]. However, older LG TV models with outdated webOS versions might face compatibility issues with newer apps like Tubi
[4].
Additional Considerations
If you encounter persistent issues with Tubi on your LG TV, consider checking for software updates for both the TV and the app. Alternatively, using an external streaming device could provide a more stable experience if the built-in app continues to malfunction.
We recently got my grandma a new LG tv, and she is extremely not tech savvy. I’m aware that there are parental controls available, but is there a way to set the tv so that when it’s turned on, it always turns to a specific channel? She watched a lot of Tubi, so maybe if it just opened Tubi as soon as it turned on?
I believe you can set it so it either always remembers the last viewed channel when you turn it on, or brings up the home screen.
If you go with the home screen option, maybe you could move the Tubi icon to the beginning of the shortcuts strip.
As of Monday, the Tubi application on my LG TV loads past the first screen and stays on the colorful splash screen and does not load. I have left it on for approximately 15-20 minutes with no change, thinking it needed to to load something.
Further steps I have taken: • Opened multiple other applications to clear Tubi from the memory. When Tubi reloads, I get the same result. • Deleted the Tubi app, shut off the TV, then reinstall the Tubi app, with the same result. • Unplugged the TV for two minutes. Plugged it back in, with the same result. • Switched wifi network, despite other streaming apps working, with the same result.
My Tubi account still works on my phone without issue.
The TV model is LG 43UJ6200-UA Software version 06.10.30 WebOS TV Version 3.9.2-6280408 Tubi version 1.0.4
There is no software update available for my TV or the Tubi app from the LG content store.
Any ideas? I emailed Tubi support Tuesday with no answer yet.
Try Turning off automatic playback and auto video preview in Tubi settings.
This was the response i just got back from tubi support:

Same issue here with Tubi, Max & Prime. The notion of rewinding a few seconds & pressing play has been quite the 2 hour adventure. Every other app I pay for is absolutely 100% fine. Can’t find a single person who wont insist that this has something to do with my wifi or act like I broke my tv & i am so tired of repeatedly explaining everything else works & having to sit there while they argue & claim what im saying doesnt make sense, as if knowing the answer to your question is a prerequisite for calling & asking for help
Same issues with Tubi fuck
The Tubi app on my LG TV wasn't working the last two weeks but it's now up and running again. Something must have been updated recently.

Honestly, the streaming week looks stacked, like the movies, gaming, even random stuff like karaoke and Baby Shark. If you had this on your TV, which one would you actually use the most? I feel like I’d end up on the Disney+ or hulu bundle a lot.
LG really went all out this time 😎 Movies, music, games, and kids’ stuff feels like there’s something for everyone. That Disney+ deal though… yes please!
Yeah, I noticed that too! I like how they’re trying to cover different interests instead of just focusing on one thing. The Disney+ deal is definitely a nice bonus especially if you’ve got kids or just enjoy rewatching the classics.”
Totally! 😄 I love that they’re thinking of everyone makes it way more exciting to check out all the perks. That Disney+ bundle really is a win for families and nostalgia fans alike!
kinda cool how they’ve got options for different setups like small portable speakers, bigger home ones, and even earbuds. the discounts make it tempting, especially if you’ve been waiting to upgrade your sound without spending too much
that’s quite a range of offers across movies, music, and gaming. Seems like there’s something for most types of viewers
This is nice
My LG isn't "that" old, but it is stuck at webOS 3.9. A few apps simply aren't available, and now it seems some apps like Tubi can't live stream on it. Just a rant as I'm trying to figure out how to watch the Super Bowl :(.
It's free on Tubi too. 🤗🤗🤗
I installed ‘Fox Sports’ app on my AppleTV to watch.
It’s not airing on the Fox sports app. Only Tubi, or Fox through providers.
Sign up for the 10 day YouTubeTV trial and then cancel next week.
I just did, thanks!
But YT TV is $83.99/mo?!? Then an extra $9.99/mo for 4k... And that doesn't even get you the sports packages which are like $50/mo! Can't believe so many people pay this much for it.
Download Tubi. Takes two seconds. And it's free. No sign up. You're welcome 🤗
Look into iptv. I get it for football season, then no reason for me to have cable after
Why did you not just plug in your TV antenna?
Unless you live 200miles from a major city center, it's OTA in HD for free..
Hulu is the same. My bill is about $105 a month after everything and that’s with live and dvr plus no ads. Sadly they’ve all gone up lately.
And do the 4k stream trial while at it
This is why i choose piracy, because it is convenient, you can use some android box
Store run for a streaming device.
Yo tambien tengo un LG y nunca he podido configurar esa vara 🥲
Dear all.
Recently I posted on r/criterion, however my post was removed by an administrator. I deeply apologize if my post is also irrelevant for this forum, but I will give it a try.
I'm on christmas holiday and I would like to spend some time to explore Bergman oeuvre. Criterion Channel is the only place - as far as I'm concerned - where I can watch the most important of his films.
I subscribed to Criterion Channel using Nord VPN but I havn't found out a way to use the streaming service on my LG Smart TV. I have tried to sum up what I have tried and found out:
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Thank you for your time and considerations.
I spent the $40 for a Roku 4k streaming stick and just use that as my streaming hub. LG is really lacking in channels, Criterion and Crunchyroll are my most used and they have neither. Roku has everything I could possibly want. Another purchase might not be the solution you're looking for but it's worked great for me.
Just bought an LG after switching from a TCL ROKU TV and my god the interface is terrible. Definitely going to be purchasing a ROKU or Fire stick as well…side note, the picture sucks on the LG?
Picture is the reason I went with the LG after my TCL died. I have a C1 OLED and it looks incredible. You do need to tinker with settings out of the box though, I'd check Rtings for some idea on what to set it to if you haven't done that
You could connect the MacBook to the tv via HDMI and be sure to use Safari as your browser. Chrome doesn’t work for me for some reason. I’m using a Fire Stick in Germany and the Criterion Channel works great. You have to change your location settings to be able to download the app through Amazon USA but it’s well worth it once it’s set up.
You'll probably want to get a Roku or Fire stick.
If it's really just Bergman you're after, you might want to check out the huge Criterion Blu-Ray collection they put out a few years back. It's phenomenal, and organized like a film festival.
Yeah if you ask a technical question on that sub you will get some pushback or told to come here lol.
But yeah you are supposed to be able to cast through AirPlay but I’ve never been able to figure it out either. I have a Samsung and it has criterion channel app but I don’t like it becasue it doesn’t have English subtitles If the film is in English. So I am like Amuro, but I have a fire cube. Works great. I do use some of the Samsung apps but the app options in the cube is numerous. Hope you get it figured out before your holiday is over!!
Airplay works fine for me, but the simplest solution is a cheap streaming device. Roku, Amazon, and Apple among others have apps for the Criterion Channel
I have two LG OLED tv one I use as smart tv and one with a firestick with Sonos Arch Ultra
Should I be using Apple 4K?
YouTube TV Prime Netflix Paramount
Thank you
Sorry if this dumb question
You don't have to use apple tv but the built in apps are better than a fire stick
Hopefully I can get dolby vision on this lg app.
Does HBOMax even have Dolby Vision titles?
Yes. Every film listed on this page, plus all of the day-and-date theatrical releases are available in 4K and HDR (including Dolby Vision). The selection is still pretty lackluster when compared to Netflix, Disney+, or Apple TV+, though.
Confirmed. I get Dolby Vision, but I don't get Atmos
The app sucks, so you won’t ever regret of buying an Apple TV.
Got a budget LG TV here that came out with Airplay 2 and ATV non-2021 is much faster.
Hopefully Vizio now soon as well
Believe me the Apple TV runs the app better than any device out there I have zero problems with the app on my apple tv whereas it seems this sub is full of people complaining about problems on other devices.
I have no problems running the app on my Amazon 4K Firestick every movie ran flawlessly
Fire stick is easier and works just as well
It’s okay. The Apple TV apps at least run smooth unlike almost every native tv app.
You could have bypass it by simply changing your VPN to latin america and install HBO Max on your LG (HBO Max app on LG for Latam available since june 29).
The free internet streaming services, Tubi, Roku, and Pluto, are in the top eight most watched internet streaming services.
300 million ... Netflix
205 million ... Amazon Prime
158 million ... Disney +
125 million ... Youtube Premium
117 million ... Max and Discovery +
97 million ..... Tubi
97 million ..... Roku
80 million ..... Pluto
78 million ..... Paramount + and SkyShowtime
I honestly thought Tubi would be second to Netflix
Will never make sense how Tubi isn’t 1 on here
As always people always complaining about Netflix and how they raised their prices and yet they receive 300 million subscribers. Is Netflix #1?
We're number 6! We're number 6! ---Wait--- We're tied for number 6!
Tubi rules!
Hi which Smart TV supports Tubi, Pluto and Roku? I am thinking of getting one just for this and maybe even YouTube.
So far I have been watching content through my laptop and felt that I am not doing justice to my battery. :)
TCL Roku TV works - its what I have in the guest bedroom
Thank you for the suggestion. Can I access Tubi as well through this??
Yes.
Yes. I'm currently accessing:
Crunchyroll
Tubi
Fawesome
Freevee (about to sunset to Amazon Prime)
Pluto
Roku Channel (of course its a Roku TCL TV)
Hulu
OTA TV via an outdoor antenna
Tablo (local OTA DVR)
Jellyfin (local video storage on my home LAN)
Prime Video
Youtube
Plex
NewsMax
(also others that I've not loaded or paid for (i.e. Netflix, Disney+ and more))
Any smart TV running android or roku will support all the free ad supported services.
Thank you.
Shop for the TV based on the display, not the software - software is just a bonus that saves you a small bit over adding an external device for streaming. Most smart TVs will have the apps you're looking for available.
Noted. Thanks!
I’ve never had luck with smart TVs. The apps only run smooth for a few months before it starts slowing down. This is because smart TVs have the processing power of a potato. I’d recommend just getting a TV that visually looks nice and has nice sound. Then when it comes to using apps, I’d recommend just getting either an Apple TV, Roku, Fire Stick etc.
Thank you.
I will make a slight note. If you plan on getting an Apple TV, hold off for now. Apple is having their event on September 9th, where it is likely they will unveil a new Apple TV.
buy a onn box...pretty cheap
Is Tubi on LG tvs
