TL;DR
For most Lenovo tablets, you can take a screenshot by pressing the power button and volume down button simultaneously [2:1]. If this doesn't work, other methods such as using third-party apps or different key combinations may be necessary.
Standard Method
The most common way to take a screenshot on a Lenovo tablet is by holding the power button and volume down button at the same time [2:1]. This method is typical for Android devices, but some users have reported issues with it not working on their specific device
[2:2].
Alternative Methods
If the standard method doesn't work, there are alternative ways to capture screenshots. On Windows-based Lenovo devices like the Yoga series, using the Windows Key + Shift + S combination allows you to select and capture a portion of your screen [1:5],
[3:5]. Additionally, third-party applications such as Lightshot or ShareX can be used to remap keys for easier screenshot functionality
[1:3],
[3:3].
Finding Screenshots
Once you've taken a screenshot, locating it can sometimes be confusing. On Windows devices, screenshots captured using Windows Key + Print Screen are saved directly to the Pictures/Screenshots folder [3:2]. For Android tablets, screenshots are typically stored in the Gallery app under the "Screenshots" folder.
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble taking screenshots, it might be worth checking your device's settings or consulting online resources for device-specific instructions. Some users have suggested searching for solutions via Google or exploring device settings [1:8],
[4:1].
In conclusion, while the process can vary slightly depending on the model and operating system, these methods should help you successfully take screenshots on a Lenovo tablet.
I have the Lenovo yoga 9i and how the heck do you take a pic?? I want to take a picture of my game but it keeps going to my wallpaper Home Screen…I hate it so much it’s very annoying
Windows Key + Shift + S or print screen key
Thank you omg!!!
i can take the screenshot but where can i find where it goes? i checked my files theres nothing there.
Download lightshot. Really good alternative.
Literally none of this works. I want to completely bypass the stupid snipping tool. I just want to press a button (or combo of keys) and just get a screenshot. A PNG. No damn copy paste bs
I did figure it out and one of them does work :( keep trying, it’s such an annoying struggle and idk why they won’t do anything about it
Windows key + shift + s
Google search?
Is it possible to take a screen shot on this device?
I drew all over an image in the Reader app. It is too large of a file to convert to a jpg and retain all the details. I realized I might be able to screenshot it. Is that as possibility?
hold power button + volume down
Nevermind, it doesn't work on mine. And. because android has relatively endless settings (especially "hidden" ones, and those controlled via 3rd party app...but still [otherwise] "hidden") – tall order to try to figure out what it's gonna take to resolve that. (maybe just my specific brain, but that is based on way too many hours of experience. I'd realistically have to set aside at least a half hour to troubleshoot this kind of glitch/bug) 😓
If you're spoiled enough to expect FOSS kind of operating environs to behave as airtightly/seamlessly as say Mac or iOS: android (linux) is not for the faint of heart!!! 😤
How did I not know this?!? I was thinking, accessibility shortcut, app switcher... 🤦♂️ SMH
i have a x260
Print-screen button will copy your screen to clipboard (paste to ms-paint or something to use it)
Alt + print screen will copy your selected window to clipboard
Windows key + print screen will make a jpeg from your entire screen in your pictures/screenshots folder (no need to paste anything)
Windows key + shift + S will give you an option to select any part of your screen, your selection will be copied to your clipboard
Some of these options (especially that last one) will not work on old versions of windows 10.
i dont have print screen button like the other laptops but the last option works pretty well so thank you!
I use a good program called ShareX it remaps printscreen as screenshot but it can be changed to anything
PrtSc next to right control
Windows key + Shift +S if it's running Windows 10
Yes.
I find pushing power & volume buttons difficult to take a screenshot. My Android phone simply has a 'screenshot' icon in the notification menu I can click. Is it possible to get a similar function in this tablet? All I can see is 'screen recorder', which is not what I want at all. Thanks.
you can adda screenshot tool to the edge panel
Thanks, but how exactly? Is the edge panel the bar you drag down at the top of the screen?
Search settings for "edge panel" and turn it on. A little tab will appear on the left or right side of the top half of the screen. Under the settings you can change different edge panel tools (contacts, reminders, clipboard, and a screenshot tool, as well as some others) are available. Add the shot/pin to screen tool then you can swipe on the edge panel, swipe to the screenshot tool and take a screen grab
You can use your s pen or swipe the screen with the side of your hand.
You can use screen write on the air commands menu
Is it worth to buy this tablet frm aldi ? And it’s pretty shocking that aldi do provide tech items like this in pretty decent price. Checked on jbhifi it was ~$299 . How come
They’re crap. Spend the extra and get an iPad or Samsung that runs fast and isn’t a laggy device.
Depends what you want it for. Also not knowing how much ram it has makes it a bit of a mystery.
The more mysterious thing is I havent seen even even one of this in-store.
Because they sell through extremely quick. Aldi typically gets only box (which only has like 6 tablets in it) of them per store. And they’re usually gone by the afternoon lol. And once they’re gone that’s it.
Excellent home assistant dashboard!!!
I’ve got one and for the money, and what I use it for, it’s been great. That said I’m not using it for anything using significant processing power - I just wanted a dedicated tablet for band charts.
Main foible is it take a while to boot up, but for $200 with USB-C, case, and stylus I’ve been happy with it. Some reviews suggest running more than one app at a time can be problematic, but if you’re just after something for “email and web browsing” it should be fine.
Looks pretty amazing for the price tbh. Good size and decent display brightness plus comes with SD card slot:
Already selling it for $360 on Giztop.
So it's the upgrade of the Lenovo idea tab pro? If so, oh man, I was going to buy the idea tab pro but this is nice
Yeah, with Snapdragon 8 gen 3 its a really nice upgrade over the Idea tab pro and price is not stupidly high. Hopefully some reviews appear soon.
Thanks! I hope it comes to the US soon, in need of a solid tablet in a few weeks!!
Yeah looks like will be very nice and well priced. If I wasn't waiting for the OnePlus mini tablet I would definitely consider it.
My only complaint about my Xaioxin Pad Pro 2023 is it's just too damn big at times with a 12.7.inch screen. I find the 8 inch tablets a bit small so 11 will be just right for me.
So people who regularly purchase tablets from AliExpress, do these tablets come with warranty? Or are you screwed if they break, come as a defective product?
I think it depends on the store. I've ordered a few phones and tablets from AliExpress but they've never been defective. I think other stores like giztop do actually offer a warrenty, not sure how good it is though.
I have no idea if you technically can get some kind of warranty, but as it comes from.basically resellers from China I would automatically assume none is provided and truly see if that is a deal breaker for you.
The question is though do I buy it on Giztop
Does take a bit of time tbh. The Xiaoxin pad pro 12.7 didn't appear in Europe as the Idea Tab pro until quite a while after it's china release. The Y700 gen 4 also released in China in may and there is still no sign of it officially in Europe yet.
I’m new to Android gaming. How should I get started ?
It depends on what type of games you like to play.
Everything is on the play store.
I kid you not I accidentally screenshoted something while playing a game and I can't figure out how I did it... It gave the little screenshot notification in the corner of the screen with the image... Online isn't much of help... Has anyone here know of this gifted knowledge?
At any time hold down the legion space button and left bumper at the same time and it will show you a shortcut list on the screen, the screenshot shortcut should be listed as well 👍🏻
On Windows use the snipping tool On Mac... CMD+Option+3 or CMD+Option+4
windows + shift + s
Then select the area you want to screenshot, and paste the screenshot somewhere (to save it).
I do it this way too, is there a way that windows itself saves the screenshot in a designated folder? Like how it is in smartphones? It’s a bit annoying to manually save the screenshots, especially if you are capturing multiple screenshots
I don't think there is an option do that yet, but you can turn on clipboard history and then save all screenshots later.
settings -> system -> clipboard -> turn on clipboard history
You can then use windows + v to view the images and paste them.
I kept seeing the message the snipping tool was going away and I never saw what it was being replaced with. Thank you for this.
This is the best way, IMO
Print screen button
This puts it on the clipboard, then you gave to paste it into something like paint.
Snipping tool
Windows key + Print screen
Hi all, what are the ways to take screenshot with the tab s7? I know of the power button and volume up. I dont like that key combination, wonder if there is a way to add the screenshot function the pool down menu.
You can add a new edge panel called "Softkey Edge", that allows you to do screenshot with the edge panel Or you can use palm swipe to capture in Settings>Advanced Features>Motions and Gestures, but I'm not sure if it works on tablets
I enabled the palm swipe but not taking screenshot
If you can't get it to work, use Softkey Edge, i think it's a bit more convenient than the palm swipe
> Or you can use palm swipe to capture in Settings>Advanced Features>Motions and Gestures
I cannot find that setting there (Galaxy Tab A7)
>...palm swipe...
Confirmed working on the S7.
And the power volume down must be done quick, otherwise the power menu comes up or the volume just goes down. FYI... Elsewhere on the net, it says 2 seconds which is completely wrong at least for mine.
Thank you for clarifying! You are correct.
You can start Screen Write with a pen. First thing it creates screen shot, you can share it without writing.
> I know of the power button and volume up
Not sure of other ways as I always use the key shortcuts, but it's power button + volume down
